I don't know what Wargaming's problem is. The 457mm gun never existed on paper. Hiraga's designed gun for this ship was 460 mm gun @ 50 calibers. Or maybe Wargaming was afraid that a 460mm 50 caliber gun would have made Bungo a Tier 11 ship.

wonderful ship, played it tons on the test server before unlocking it on the live server and it is magnificent, truly some of the best guns in the game
I unlocked this ship yesterday and it's been too much fun. Avg 200k damage so far after maybe 25 games. I'm afraid it will be nerfed for sure. The guns are too good. I'm hoping they raise the citadel or something and leave the guns untouched. My favorite tech tree T10 BB ATM.
Can be a lot of fun, but lets not say it is stronger than it is, you have to be very careful re angling or you get chunked for a lot of pen damage... most BB players ignore this ship as the weak fore and aft armour means it can take a lot of pen damage if those shooting at you understand it's armour layout. This ship will get less fun to play over time as other players learn to better exploit it's weaknesses, enjoy these early days of players not understanding how vulnerable it is while they last.
@@Mithril_Antimarr The amazing shell velocity and accuracy means that you don't need to get close. Japanese BBs do well at long and medium range. Their dispersion is wonky at close range. I usually play her at 20 kms at the start and then push in a bit to medium range, 14-15 kms. I only go bow in when necessary. Here's a tip. Look at the armor scheme. It has overmatchable bow. So, if you go bow in, you're screwed for sure. But if you look at the backside armor, you will see armored plates near her ass. If you're angled properly, not even 460 mm+ guns can overmatch it. I tank around 2.5 mil potential every game. It's easy. I also have the coal based upgrade for spotter plane. Gives me a duration of 85s I think. Which is 4 salvos of high accuracy. Even without spotter plane, it's very accurate. The pen is not good for the caliber but it's enough to do pen damage on BBs and citadel cruisers at any range.

If WG actually think Austin needed a buff... then can they please consider swapping the Bungo casemate secondaries with 23mm pen, with secondaries that do 26mm pen please?
Apologies, but if I was able to do WoWs full time I would, currently I do not have that luxury. I'm doing a master's degree bro, I don't have infinite time like other streamers/youtubers who do this full time. I also stream on twitch a lot of the time, so I can't do everything, this month I posted 3 full reviews on the channel, which might not be a lot for you, but for me trying to catch up to assignments and doing my daily things in real life, it's a lot. Like it's either I posted the twitch highlight, or nothing, I personally would choose the twitch highlight.

Definately T11 with the spotter it would become Slava but with overmatch into BB and almost double the broadside dmg
@@johnpickering2008 You take a Yamato Type 94 gun and then add around 50 meters per second muzzle velocity on top of that. Holy shit that's scary!
WG probably thinks Yamato is the only ship allowed to have the 460.
