I suggested it on the forums when MotD was originally added, a "back through time" gimmick, where it'd give you the old UI, the old map, HAPPY NEW YEAR! screaming sun wukong(who became Hun Batz), Denton jungle monsters and everything else
i mean was anybody really suprised? he literally said "get over here" and was colored orange, change the color, some of his voice lines and you might have gotten away with it but i bought it knowing full well it was going away like instantly
Pohatarunic6 he even has a jokes related to it. "21 12 2012 you guys are so gullible" "IM SUMMONING THE APOCALYPSEEEEEEEEE jk i dont have that kind of power"
My favourite Morrigan bug is where transforming into xbalanque would result in you permanently transforming into him until you died but only being able to basic attack
My favourite one is when you transform into Khumba and then die and then turn back ... leaves another Khumba corpse back with his passive hitpoints but you cant hit it. Also if you bought mystical mail, it would stay there forever and damaging enemies. OP !
Karl Maier that would have been great if someone decided to just do that a few times near objectives. Imagine fire giant being taken mid teamfight by it
God i hope they do add some time between lanes, it takes literally 10 seconds to go from mid to another lane. what's the point in having a jungle if it's not even a buffer between rotations from other lanes. also it looks nothing like the jungle. I miss the old map :'(
They've said they're not doing side jungles anymore, I forget the reason why though. Hopefully they make the jungle between lanes bigger/more dense/more jungly.
I used to have that Bastet skin and I loved it. Then I lost my account because I transfered it to level up, and when I got back into smite, you had to transfer it back to hirez but the period in which you could transfer it had already finished. I lost a shit ton of stuff and I'm still pretty salty about it as you can tell.
enjoyed this more than i thought. I like how you gave enough facts on each number without draggin on like some other list videos, quick simple and to the point solid video!
I would like to see Domination once again in the Smite. Maybe with some enhanced graphics and mechanics. I still remember the old times with Vulcan camping under the Sand Guardian or how they were called. :-D
Hades actually has the highest potential damage of an ability in smite with his 3. You just need a LOT of minions. I can confirm that through testing a full health build ymir with 4k hp was 100-0'd by me detonating his minion wave on himself in a practice.
Way back when me and my friend first got Smite, my friend had no idea you could buy items...and then he would buy Physical items on Ymir. It was such a pain
I would love to see the Mist and Side Jungles in Conquest; it would allow extra pressure on Dual Lane that I feel isn't pressed enough for ganking. Mist would certainly add a lot of uncertainty for laning Gods to acquire buffs, and overall make the Jungle experience way more about strategy than just shifting position. I am far from a Jungler, hell I rarely feel comfortable not playing Solo or Support. But as a Solo/Warrior main (as well as only really a casual conquest player), the mist would force shitty teammates to be careful and buy some goddamn wards. I actively avoid Conquest because teammates either never call out missing enemies or place wards, but unless one of my own clan members is Jungler, I always end up with a bad jungler, or J am never given help. In one example, I was Tyr up against an Osiris, with Ao Kuang jungling. Kuang managed to always come to Osiris' aid the moment I stepped anywhere near tower. My team's jungle, a rank 10 with 4 stars Serqet, spent tgeir entire game helping Mid and ADC because the 3 of them clanned together. I was literally told to play better when I had asked for help, and only our Guardian came to help after Tower 2 was half dead. Forcing teammates to play Smite as a strategy game will only aid me in playing the game to my full power. I am all for Mist Jungle.
These facts were actually interesting, I actually didn't know many of them, all of this was packed in a short and crisp five minute video while being narrated by a not annoying voice. Thumbs up 👍
brawlers beatstick was a weapon for assault characters in global agenda that dropped from legion brawlers(didn't have antiheal, had some buff for altfire though)
The nu Wah and fenrir ult combo is still possible but with Ganesh and fenrir or any got that stuns or roots, get stuck on the end of those pillars and you're done
They legit need to bring Dom back, it was a good game mode, and now with their player base being much larger than it was back then. They should have no problem filling the queues, thats one of the reason they got rid of it, lack of popularity.
He didn't mention it, but the reason for the 'new god fenrir' is because if you go to the icons and search 'new god' or 'next god' (can't remember which one), fenrir's icon pops up
Smite used to be so much more creative back in the day. Oh how times have changed. I really wish things would go back to the way they were in season 2. My theory is that it all started with the Clash map. I remember when Clash was first released back in season 2. It was crazy, the only red buff being in the middle of the map was a completely new concept at the time. I actually heard that they were gonna remove Clash all together cause a lot of people didn't like that about it. But apparently, they did the exact opposite and moved the entire game in that direction with less buffs all together, more engages, and a faster paced flow to the game. I really don't like it as much. God balance is god awful, and a lot of the time the game doesn't really feel like it's about strategy as much anymore. MOBAs are supposed to be like an intricate game of chess. Every move you make effects you and your team greatly. Smite feels like it's moving towards more of an all out brawl between all the most overpowered gods in the game. That's not what a MOBA is, and it never should be. Things were just so much simpler and better in season 2. I feel like when season 3 started, Hi Rez just really went out of their way to fix something that was never broken in the first place. And it just kept getting worse and worse from there.
I just think Season 4 is so far overall better than Season 3 was. But I cannot account for the earlier seasons. However, the way everyone speaks of Season 2 makes it sound like a dream to reach that again.
Cosmic - Chris Oh believe me it is. I actually take genuine pity on you and anyone else who wasn't around to experience it. Smite was honestly the most engaging multiplayer game I'd ever played at that point, like I could play it for hours and hours and every game was fun. Now it's like I play one game that lasts slightly longer than average and I'm like mentally exhausted. The balance was SO MUCH better. Believe it or not, back in season 2, there were about 2-3 broken gods. Every other god was either bad, or totally balanced. Now it's like at least half the gods in the game are broken. Also the active system worked much, much better than the current relic system. It just seemed like the actives were in the perfect place in season 2. You had to go out of your way to spend gold to buy and upgrade actives, but you could get them whenever you wanted. You didn't have to wait till level 12. I also think one of the ways season 4 improved from season 3 was that you could upgrade your relics to get lower cooldowns and other benefits like that. But even with the upgrades the cooldown is STILL way too long. Like yeah, I was able to avoid an Ares ult, now I just have to sit under tower for the next 3 fights in case he uses it again. In season 3 it was so bad that it was to the point where like sometimes you would rather die then use your beads because the cooldown was THAT long. In season 2 a fully upgraded beads was on a 90 second cooldown, and it was fucking awesome. Plus the changes to the conquest map is one of the worst things about season 3. In season 2 the map was pretty much perfect, nobody was complaining. But in season 3 they changed the jungle and made it incredibly open. Like to the point where it doesn't even feel like a jungle anymore. If anything, it feels more like a garden. Like it's incredibly visible, you can either see or predict what your opponents are doing at least half the time, and this is yet another change that leads me to believe that Hi Rez wants to move the game towards a more engage, fast paced style. This open jungle leads to more contests and invades on buffs, less surprises, and more team fights. It's drastically changed the flow of the game for the worse. I recommend these videos if you want to hear more about it: ua-cam.com/video/jS4KanVtTyk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/UIdjaukI-54/v-deo.html
sometimes I feel like these people have no idea wtf they're talking about.. I've played since season one and the current season has been one of (if not the) best in regards to got balance. Underpowered God's would go months without touches and a few select gods completely dominated (Apollo, Janus, Bellona) back then the unbalanced bitching was even louder..
Smite had so many cool ideas, that were hard to implement, but were innovative! Now it becomes another dull MOBA, only gods and their interesting lore hold it together. Especially maps - side camps in conquest would've been great, and fighting Minotaurs/Titans on middle lane would stop games from lasting 50+ minutes (but I guess it's not so much of a problem). I haven't played it back then, so probably there are good reasons why it was removed, except simply due to necessities of following MOBA rules. Nice video, the only thing is you could speak a little clearer and more positively. Despite it, you made a great material with nice montage. 👍
Nah they made sure it wouldn't work with him before they released him. But you can still hold someone in the walls of the ult which does a lot of damage.
I've been playing since Alpha, I think the only thing that should be retro fixed/implemented is the FoW (Fog of War). Though i get it doesn't gel with its changing aesthetic nor fast paced, more open jungle game play.
You didnt get around to mentioning the 10v10 gamemode that Hi-rez had talked about releasing, something that would have been unique in moba's, back then. (it saddly never happend)
Dont forget Cupid went from Hunter to Mage at one point in closed beta then after one patch got switched back over. God his magical heals were OP.. When SMITE officially launched, for about a year after Hirez went through patching the game realized that Artemis did magical damage instead of physical.
Most of these facts are from the leaderboard, Weaken was in collaboration with, like a year and a half ago. It shows 107 facts, for beginners to experts.
I reallt dont think Fog of War is necesary in smite since its already in third person view and obsracles already limits its visions unlike in top down mobas
I was just talking about Copyrighted skins since you literally can't even play in them anymore. Not just not being to buy them. But technically you can get demon Anubis. All the T5s are usually available for a $1000 donation to charity in the spring fling.
Why in the world would they get rid of those buffs? I understand getting rid of the protection one, but they could have nerfed it to make it only give 30 protections. As for the health buff: complete unnecessary removal.
Not enough room on the map probably. They were all located in the side jungles so they probably just removed the buffs when they removed the side Jungles back in beta.

The Xbalanque release date fact is sick

There should be a motd where they bring back old maps, god looks and god abilities. Sounds like it would be fun
I suggested it on the forums when MotD was originally added, a "back through time" gimmick, where it'd give you the old UI, the old map, HAPPY NEW YEAR! screaming sun wukong(who became Hun Batz), Denton jungle monsters and everything else
Well part of it is back, good job
@@pepperonimeatballsub9027 ive stopped playing since then :( good to know though!
Well if you can find someone to do the coding then well it can happen
"And Eliminator Ravana." I still feel the pain.
Wholesome Thana know that feel bro
Same, I got the skin in the 1st enigma chest i won in that adventure
Wholesome Thana it was a really cool skin. They need to make up for it for the ravanas out there
i mean was anybody really suprised? he literally said "get over here" and was colored orange, change the color, some of his voice lines and you might have gotten away with it but i bought it knowing full well it was going away like instantly
i want my ravana skin back :(
Does anyone have footage of the old titan moving to middle lane?
I couldn't find any sadly. Would've put it in the video if I could.
I don't know why that was included, it's just a myth. If you try to look it up there is absolutely no footage online about it.
Andrew Dorcas there's hardly any footage of smite alpha in general
Andrew Dorcas I saw it myself and can in fact say it's not a myth, sadly I had no idea it was going to be removed so I never recorded it
Sooomungry's youtube channel has old footage of smite from 2012
please guys lets start a petition to bring back domination it was my favorite gamemode
It's back.
Only temporary tho
@@lestat305 It back
So when is Fenrir going to get released?
next patch probably idk
HyperionSc2 is he hout yet?
Fenrir will be released next patch. Just be patient.
probally pretty soon
What about the beta manticore?
Gabriel :D what about the Lore Lady that's been MIA
Most people know about that because of Hi Rez April fools prank a few years back
That Xbalanque one I really didnt know, Hirez too savage xD
Pohatarunic6 he even has a jokes related to it.

I think the mist of war is a great touch. Adds more of a danger to the jungle, making warding much more of a necessity
It’s back! The conquest map is being redone with fog of war.
My favourite Morrigan bug is where transforming into xbalanque would result in you permanently transforming into him until you died but only being able to basic attack

I heard they're thinking about expanding the Conquest map... so maybe those side jungles are coming back?? Well. We'll see.
That's something I'd really love to see. But somehow I doubt they'll do that. They'll probably just add more jungle between the lanes.
God i hope they do add some time between lanes, it takes literally 10 seconds to go from mid to another lane. what's the point in having a jungle if it's not even a buffer between rotations from other lanes. also it looks nothing like the jungle. I miss the old map :'(

He would be less annoying as a mage and might actually be useful in the meta.
Just imagine ao kuang but with more burst
Do an updated one! This was amazing
Basically facts for people that haven't played the game that long
Domination sounds so fun in smite
It really was. It was the only gamemode really that was totally different from all the others.
Grant Willis i hated it. Boring as fuck.
A unicorn! Someone else who thought dom was boring. Well not boring imo, just unbalanced.
PouncingPandae I'm still getting queued up with people that don't understand 2 LANES
Grant Willis omg it was. Used to be the only game mode i played. Beta was dank
3:35 thanatos a beast talking to his boss hades like that lol

Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah going on and on for 2 or 3 minutes about each one is a bit far. Gotta get that extra ad revenue tho boii
LMAO
You should make a video for all the character interactions heard in game. Those usually do really well on the youtubes
I would like to see Domination once again in the Smite. Maybe with some enhanced graphics and mechanics. I still remember the old times with Vulcan camping under the Sand Guardian or how they were called. :-D
I don't get why they removed it, and why they don't put it in instead of clash. clash is so dump. and domination was so much fun
phrphr222 EXACTLY. CLASH IS A SMALL CONQUEST AND IS BORING. THEY ARE BLIND BUT THEY NEED TO BRING IT BACK.

You forgot to mention the attack speed buff in the fact about removed buffs
Attack speed buff is still kind of in the game in arena
I always kinda had the feeling that the gods that changed roles were supposed to be different hahaha like nemesis, cuz she's tankier xD great video!

Does the interaction between Ganesha's and Fenrir's ultimate work similar to old Nu Wa's?
Not as ridiculous as it was with old Nu Wa. But you can combine Fenrir's and Ganesh's ults for some big single target nuke damage.
so crazy how they actually ended up introducing the green buff and cooldown buff into the game, after all those years
He didn't mention it, but the reason for the 'new god fenrir' is because if you go to the icons and search 'new god' or 'next god' (can't remember which one), fenrir's icon pops up

domination used to be my favourite mode :((
How could I forget about the Shake and Bake.
Good times lads.
I really like this channel, very interesting
Thanks man!
i believe fog of war is still technically a game mechanic, but the actual fog graphic was removed. fog of war is why wards are important.
I really miss the Domination mode. It was one of my favorites
The shake and bake was also possible with Skadi's release.
Cool video... the titans moving mid lane would definitely help the noob randoms i play with actually attack the titan .
They should add that domination mode back, it sounds fun af
could you do shake and bake with ganesha ult and fenrir now?
Nah they made sure it wouldn't work with him before they released him. But you can still hold someone in the walls of the ult which does a lot of damage.
Man your commentating skills came a long way lol
Does fenrir and ganesha ultis combo work the same?
I've been playing since Alpha, I think the only thing that should be retro fixed/implemented is the FoW (Fog of War). Though i get it doesn't gel with its changing aesthetic nor fast paced, more open jungle game play.
Man I miss some of those old maps.
What recall skin is he using in the background footage of this video??
Bro number 3 sounds so dope. Why did they take that away entirely? I'd make that a custom game option if anything.
25 facts in 5mins ty for not wasting my time like top 10 youtubers who take a minute for every fact/number
Yeah it was meant to be a kind of quick fire short, small facts rather than a huge explanation of each one.
You didnt get around to mentioning the 10v10 gamemode that Hi-rez had talked about releasing, something that would have been unique in moba's, back then. (it saddly never happend)
Ah I remember building deathbringer on ymir, so much fun
I'd pay to play on beta again
Same, but for one reason alone: "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!"
"The shake and bake" I wonder if you can do that with Ganesh's ult
you forgot about how you used to be able to stack all the buffs in the game on 1 character :)
Of course... Ganesha's ult...
No wonder I always die out of it.
Wish fog was still there so people would actually use wards
Forgot to mention in beta pc u was able to pick up all buffs as well
I did not know that fact about Ganesha's ult and now i love him even more
Also, you forgot about the Hindu pantheon almost being taken out of smite
I actually didn't know the Minotaur moved to the lane if the game got late. It must've been early on in the beta.
Totally part 2 :)
I think you forgot the Allied Statue in the middle of the CQ Map. Near the Portal Demon
Any footage of the bulls walking down mid lane to fight?
Dont forget Cupid went from Hunter to Mage at one point in closed beta then after one patch got switched back over. God his magical heals were OP..
When SMITE officially launched, for about a year after Hirez went through patching the game realized that Artemis did magical damage instead of physical.

Not anymore. It used to be an MOTD for about a year or so after they removed it. It hasn't been an MOTD for a few years now.
Do a 15 things we aleeady know about smite and include the facts that Artio is immortal and loki is cheese
Playing since 2012 i know 98% of wat u said there but that xba coincidence is hilarious XD
I KNEW GANESHA'S ULTIMATE DID THE MOST DAMAGE! Trapping someone on that line is a death sentence for them
Beads, Aegis, cc immune abilities...
rageface memeaholic yeah I'm aware thanks
+1 if you knew all of those
I knew all of these. Does that count?
Max Schober 24/25 ecks dee , xba fact got me
RIP Paragon lol
If I remember correct goobus Ultimate if it lands all ticks it does over 5000 damage. Why against Hades goober should never loose.
Hades becoming a mage still hurts me. I don't know why, he was essentially always a mage. It just feels wrong.
2:30 they added it back in the br mode
Bring back Domination, and the mist!!

Fog of war got added back
The shake and bake needs to come back with genesha and fenrir
AceRacer 3a you can? most squishies die before the fenrir ult is over even if ganesha is building tank
Pretty sure nemissis was the most op god ever on release
No
I reallt dont think Fog of War is necesary in smite since its already in third person view and obsracles already limits its visions unlike in top down mobas
I still feel pain about paragon being killed
Xba was realeased on same day as my birthday
FOG is back
Cool video bro
now the fog of war is back
ooh bastet if you only knew *pants like a dog*
cupid was a mage for a short time
god i miss domination
I know all of these but did you know all gods in smite has some form of Crowd Control
all have small cc, any god with absolutely no hard or small cc would be unplayable
Why can't they just add Domination back it was so fun
Mincho1994 cause they're stupid as FUCK and want people to not enjoy their game.
You forgot to talk about Anubis that demon skin is no longer available in the game

Oof, mentioning that Paragon 💔
Do a video like this but for gods in the game
