    On-the-go accessory tip: store small accessories that compliment your purse/bag in your purse/bag!

      I need to try this! 😯 I can't wear any earrings when I have my ear muffs on, maybe this would solve that problem!

    You nailed it with the discussion on closet staples! Having a "staple" in your closet might not mean you'll wear it all the time if it's a staple for someone else's style, but not yours. Fantastic video as always, thanks!

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  10 днів тому

      Yup, I think it's easy to assume a "closet staple" means the same thing for everyone across the board, but it really isn't. Thank you! 🥰❤️

    I need to try the outfit repeat roulette! I love experimenting with colour, that's how I upgraded my style a lot in the past year without buying too much new. One example that comes to mind is unexpected combinations like my pine green corduroy pants, blue belt and pink cashmere turtle neck.
    Another thing I have tried out is tonal dressing. When I grew up I was told it was a fashion faux pas if I dressed in different shades of red together. It had to match. But I have learned this is not true. You can match different shades of the same colour and look very elegant in my opinion. If anyone wants to explore this idea more Hannah Louise Poston has some great videos on the topic. (Maybe this discourages the algorithm-free style approach this video is about? But Hannah has such solid fashion advice that I couldn't resist sharing.)

      I think tonal/monochrome (as it turns out, monochrome includes different shades and tones and I only found that out this year) dressing is one of the most fun & easy ways to dress! 🥰 Thank you for the channel recommendation! I think UA-cam is a little different from, say instagram and Tiktok, because you can find a lot of educational content in the masses of clickbait content. It's why I love youtube in comparison to other platforms hehe~

    Paws and Cool in one video?? We’re so lucky! The part about overlooking accessories because you’re running late is very relatable haha. I find style thoughts by Rita’s system really useful, it helps me know how to talk to myself when I can’t figure out a basic outfit let alone my style
    I’m a ruby in her system so I almost never use style to communicate, it’s about how it makes me feel. Even the idea of “expressing myself” is disastrous for me because there’s an implied audience!
    Edit for grammar

      Thanks for that recommendation, I've added a couple of her videos to my watch list already! ❤️ I'll have to figure out how that system would apply to me 👀

    I tend to do the Outfit Repeat Roulette myself.
    Also, what's your fav FF title? I usualy get ff9 vibes from your videos lol

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  14 днів тому +1

      You're definitely not imagining the FF9 vibes! My favorite FF title so far is FFX, 90% for nostalgia reasons as it was the first FF game I ever completed (I did start with 9 as a kid, but the disc broke halfway through the game). I finished FF9 recently and am currently re-playing FFX and trying to finish FFX-2 (another tragedy of a PS game disc breaking lol). Aside from FF7 Remake, I haven't played any of the titles past FF13-2, but I'm hoping to catch up eventually :)
      I think I lean into FF9 the most in my edits because the music is very "videogamey" (less string instrumental than FFX for example), but I'm hoping to incorporate elements from other games too as I go (most recently Kingdom Hearts). Maybe I need to look into the old Legend of Zelda for some classic Link "GYAHH" sound effects....

    I know that it goes against the concept of your video but... where are your earings from? They are really gorgeous 😵‍💫

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  13 днів тому

      I don't blame you, I think they're pretty too haha, I often eye at other youtubers' accessories 👀 I got these from yesstyle, but they're not the best quality (I'm willing to bet they're also sold on amazon, yesstyle products are often sold elsewhere too) - I've seen Linh Truong sell similar looking earrings and rings via enroute jewelry, I recommend checking out her jewelry line first if you need to have silver/gold as the base! I also love youtuber Mei Yan's jewelry (she has her own line + a few items on enroute) which is also in a style like this. Hope this helps!

      @solennev3073 13 днів тому

      @@jemi_ Thank you so much for your thorough answer! There are some cute ones in Enroute but the website looks a bit sketchy I think, have you ordered there?
      Today the game Infinity Nikki just released and the model made me think of something that you can get in the game. Since you seem to like fashion and videogames I think that you will definitely enjoy it :)

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  12 днів тому +1

      I've ordered from enroute twice! Once for Bestdressed's earrings which, granted, some of them aren't the best quality, and then again for Mei's necklace (which has stayed in great condition the last couple years). I've usually ordered during their black friday/christmas sales :) I've definitely been considering playing Infinity Nikki actually!! When/if I one day get a PS5 I'll have that as part of my purchase list (I freaking adore the outfits I've seen in the trailers thus far) ☺️
