That was awesome. I'm trying to figure out what sticky tabs you use to secure the balloon. I use sticky dots and it doesn't secure the way yours just did. I have to use several dots to secure it. Thanks for all the pointers!
I use uglu dashes by oasis. You can get them from floral suppliers. :~)

Hi Sandi! What size are the balloons that are wrapped around the pole? What are the measurements of the poles? LOVE THIS!!!!
The long skinny ones? Those are 260s. The other balloons are 5" balloons. The poles are 5' across for the bottom and top, and about 5.5 - 6' tall for the side pieces. :~)

I use the oasis uglu dashes. As long as they are not cold when you try to apply them, they work great. They are made for the floral industry, so they are even submersible. :~)

I will do some grad stuff, but prob not in time for this year's graduation lol. :~)
Why make sure the top is taped tight? looks like it would be easier for short people to work on the top with it off and then attach it after.
Also if you did the top and bottom before you got to the location and then just lowered them into place when you arrived, you would only have to do the sides on location, all the elements except the sides could be done ahead of time and assembled in place.
+Hank Degenring - the thing is, if you don't tape it really well, before you start, the pressure of the balloons make it pop out of place (which I cut out while editing lol). Also, if it gets moved or bumped, the whole thing could fall apart, so it's always better to make it more secure than you think it could possibly need to be. ;-)
I get that, but I'd still work on the cross bars separately, then attach them after they are done. I hate trying reach stuff over my head. Taping the end pieces to the crossbar really well and then sliding them down into place and then attaching them firmly to the uprights

Sure, look on my channel for the Mickey Mouse. I'll try do do some other characters and a frame the next time I'm shooting in a private studio :~)
