The American education system is insane. P.E should never be about cultivating "athletic skill", it's about teaching kids to live a healthy life, whether through diet and activity (or hopefully both). If that then leads to some of said kids developing an interest in some specific activity then that's fine, but it should not be the focus.
@@Micras08 I think in elementary school it’s good for kids to have a fun class and get their energy out, but yeah in middle/high school it really shouldn’t be a requirement. Health classes, yes. PE? No, but it should be an elective for the people that want to take it.
