- In this episode I share all the details about a fundraiser for Hurricane Helene Relief efforts in Western North Carolina. I was asked by Sandra, with Cross Stitch & Crafts, to participate in a fundraiser supporting hurricane victims. I designed a small ornament with a message of hope during this time of distress. Go, Tell It On The Mountain that there is hope and you are never alone. Grab a pen and paper, your favorite beverage, your cross stitch, and let's get started.

I bring this design to you in a time of uncertainty and grief for many. I was asked to participate in a fundraiser for our dear friends affected by Hurricane Helene 2024. I knew immediately I wanted to continue my series of songs, words that bring hope to us during a season when so many are experiencing so much loss. Go, Tell It On The Mountain is a song about bringing the good news of Jesus’ presence to the world. I can just hear the shepherds and wise men as they left the manger, anxiously traveling to the next town where they could spread the word of hope born in the dark night.
As we support our neighbors and friends, let’s stitch together and share the love of our craft and friendship with those who need it most. Go, tell it on the mountains that there is hope!

Thank you, Annie, for bringing us all together in love thru your talents and your giving heart..God's richest blessings on all!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕💕💕
Your design has the best message of hope for our mountain recovery. Praying for all those who were affected and thank you for your generosity. Go and tell it!
Thank you
What a beautiful way to help raise funds for this devastated area. So glad to hear your loved ones are ok, but so sad that so many are not ok. Thank you for your contribution to this and I can't wait to order the pattern! Praying for everyone affected by these awful storms!
Bless you all for fundraising! I look forward to supporting this worthy cause!
I really appreciate you!
I love you Annie,. I sent 6 quilts which should have arrived today to a community I heard about.
Thank you so much! There are so many in need.
So happy for you that you were reunited with your family member. Praying for her as she processes the trauma that she has been through as well as all the others affected from the storm. Thank you so much for shining a light on this situation and using your talents to help others. You have created a thoughtful and beautiful piece with a great message of hope. 🙏❤☮
Thank you!
Dear Annie, thank you so much for your generosity. I think I speak for all of us witnessing the devastation hurricane Helene left behind and how helpless we feel. I appreciate you designing this beautiful ornament and giving us another opportunity to do something good. My hope is that we will be there to support these communities in the months to come, when it is no longer being addressed by the media.
Thank you - it will take many years to rebuild, repair, and reconstruct this area.
Annie... so happy that your sister in law is safe. When we drive from Florida to New Hampshire we always go through western North Carolina ( we avoid route 95!) and we are always amazed at the beauty in that section of our country.... so sorry to see the devastation there. It really is hard to imagine when we look at the pictures of the damage and the towns that were totally wiped out. Our area in central Florida really did not sustain much damage and we thank God for that... I will be ordering your beautiful cross stitch piece and thank you so much for having this fundraiser. God bless you and all of the people that have been impacted by the storm.💕💕
It truly is a beautiful area that is forever changed. My heart just breaks.
Can’t imagine what all those affected are going through. So glad your sister in law was rescued and you are able to help her through this. I will call the shop next week to order.
Thank you
So many emotions. Thank you for giving us a way to help.

Annie, I have been praying for your sister-in-law and am so happy to hear that she is with you and Matthew, safe and sound. There are so many suffering and I love that you, Bonny, and Sandra are providing us a way to give a hand up to all these folks. I wish I could be with you on Saturday but that is not possible for me right now; however, I will calling to place my order and send you all a virtual hug for your kindness and generosity! xxoxo
I wish you could join us, but I will be sending you a virtual hug as well. I miss your sweet face. xoxo

Annie … thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece with us … I will definitely be ordering Go Tell It On The Mountain to help those in need … I pray for all the ones that have been affected by this tragedy and now there are people in Florida who are suffering as well … you are such a lovely woman to be involved with this wonderful Christian effort … thank you again … 😊❤ Dena
Thank you so much. I am praying for all of the people in Florida. So much destruction.
You have such a giving heart and I will be ordering the pattern as this is one of my favorite hymns and now it has so much meaning. Being a 26 year employee at the American Red Cross I know how important this will be to those that have been devastated from this disaster. I have the cording tool but have never used it so really need to get it out.
Thank you!
My first project of yours is The Autumn Sampler. I had a local shop owner order it for me and she did end up selling several more to our fellow stitchers. I will wait til Saturday to call. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Oh Annie, I’m so thankful that your sister-in-law got out safely. It’s so hard to see the devastation in all the areas affected, and I usually end up crying too. Thank you for creating a wonderful ornament for a good cause. Hugs to your sister in law.
Thank you
Dear Annie. Thank you for your update. I’m so glad your sister in law is safe and with you. Is it ok if we give more money for the pattern to pass it on to those in need. Love all your pattern. Thank you and praying for all of the people on the area.

Thank you
prayers for those effected by hurricane.. How kind of you Annie for helping with fundraiser.
Thank you
So happy your sister-in-law is safe and with you. Love your design and your heart! I live in Asheville and am very fortunate to have no property damage or injuries. We had no power or Wi-Fi for 10 days after the hurricane and still do not have water after 2 weeks. So many things we take for granted like flushing the toilet and washing dishes and clothes, and taking a shower! But I cannot complain when so many are suffering and have lost so much. During the 10 days without power I had to stitch during the day by the window, I tried but was not able to stitch at night by candlelight. It made me appreciate the young girls who stitched all those samplers in the past before electricity. I love Marshall and we go there often to dine and shop, so glad you are helping them!
Oh Debbie, I am so glad you are safe. I just love Asheville and go there several times a year. I just know it will forever be changed. I am so glad you were able to have your stitching with you. I know, for me, it can bring peace and comfort.
Thank you for creating such a purposeful and beautiful ornament. I am so thankful that your SIL survived and my heart aches for those that didn’t. I look forward to purchasing the beautiful and meaningful ornament. ❤️🙏
