I've enjoyed watching your videos. About 3 months ago I had to put down my 1st service dog (1y training, 10y working, 5y retired). 2nd Ive retired due to inury and him loosing a back leg. People look at you funny when in wheelchair and have 3 legged SD. My 3rd found out in mall can sense when seizures will happen. First time had trained dog refuse commands, layed his head in little boys lap. Kid had seizure while I was apologizing to mom. Through talking found out they were just starting interview process for getting SD, but not very hopeful on getting one due to cost of fully trained one. Knowing Charlee picked up on seizure before it happend, I made hard decision and gave Charlee to them. So they are at center to get training to become a seizure dog. So now I am now training my 4th dog. Wish me luck. Again just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your videos.
This is a cool video such good dogs. My question is though how do you know when to retire them like I was thinking always get a new dog after the dog passes away?
It was amazing to see Max. Yeah he did not forget his training. And they were so good even when your husband was walking around behind you that was awesome. Good job puppers. Today we have a meeting with one of my medical personnel and his office manager who discriminated against me and my service dog not once but twice. That person doesn't want to recognize that they discriminated against me. And it got to where I felt pushed into saying very very personal information. As to why I need my dog in there. Stuff was said. Not rude stuff not mean stuff. Just stuff pertaining to the dog. Needless to say depending on how the meeting goes we may be going to court and they may be getting arrested. I'm not playing games this is my house.
I have a serious question if you could inform or ever see this comment! Why can a child not acknowledge said service animal as a child growing up without my mother telling me I would point and say "Puppy!" Or something along those lines, I understand the whole disability thing just seeking out more knowledge as a person who want's a service animal himself.
I should explain more sorry! If the child tried touching the dog I remember getting pulled away or the person saying very sternly not to touch the animal.
Distracted service dogs can miss alerts or give it too late for the handler to take meds or get somewhere safe - i.e an epileptic could not get alert or get it 2 minutes before seizure when the dog is trained to alert 15 minutes in advance so they can get somewhere safe- A diabetics glucose gets dangerously low because the dog missed when it got to the level its trained to alert too
@@Nil-tz6gy I see, Im not Legally disabled and I understand an animal cant be an emotional support dog, but I do have major panic attacks if that is a thing I can get them for, or just from PTSD from abuse even.
Question about service dogs: Do they alert if other people are having an "attack" in the thing they are trained in for you??? hope that makes sense. lol..
I think it's safe to say, he didn't forget his training.
Max is so cute. Glad to see the old man still has it lol. Hope he is enjoying his much earned retirement.
OMG! I loved seeing this! That was awesome to watch! Max still has it in him.
Aww Max is looking great. He's such a handsome boy 🐕💙

They start to slow down. Max stopped getting as excited to leave and go out. And started slowing down. He retired like 2 1/2 years ago
Ok thank you for letting me know. 🙂

Bear mind if you arent legally disabled you arent able to have service dog
