I didn't want this comment to get any longer but I just wanted to say, I loved this video so much and I can't wait to get started on this project. You're also very beautiful (I hope that doesn't sound creepy) :)
Hi there! Love your tutorial, so easy to follow. Just a small suggestion here, that's it will be super helpful if you can show some information about the type of yarn that you used (8ply or so) and the size of the product like how big it is. It will help beginners like me a lot if we need to adjust the size, or add/reduce stitches due to the type of yarn we use as well. Thank you so much.
@@gabriellemcauley9827 thank you for replying. Yep will totally do that. It's just if you can hold it a little longer at the label or the part where they show the size, it would be super helpful. Btw I'm using 4mm hook on 8ply yarn (want to use 10ply yarn like you too but cant find the right color) so do you suggest how many more rounds/changes so the hat's size can be the same as yours? Many thanks.
@@baopham2816 I can’t be certain, but I made the increase rounds until the diameter was 7 inches, and then added rows with no increases until the hat reached the middle of my forehead :)
10:06 10:41 12:22 Leaving these here bc UA-cam jumps back when i come back to a tutorial and it’s annoying Awesome pattern btw! 💖 I didn’t know how to do a Hdc going into this and now after one session i can do them with my eyes closed
My hat is looking good so far . 2nd row I counted 16 stitches 3rd row 24 4th row 36 5th row 48 6th row 56 7th row 64 8th row 72 Curve then add 7 rows When starting the brim u said every 5th stitch but in my hat since there is 72 it won’t end that row in an increase.. did I do something wrong?
Hello! I don't have a 4.5 hook but would a 4.25 work? I'm kinda new so I don't know how it'll effect everything. 😅 Also awsome channel I'll definitely be sticking around!
Then add more rows!! Each new row: add two more stitches before an increase. We started with 4 stitches then an increase. The next row was 6 stitches and an increase, then 8 stitches and an increase, then 10, and for another row would be 12 stitches, then 14, etc. Hope this helps!
Make less rows for the rounds of increases! And then also less rows for the rounds with no increases. On google there are head/hat measurements, so make enough rows of increases to reach the diameter you need, and enough rows to make the length you need :)
Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions, and leave suggestions for future tutorials :)

thank you for the tutorial! please tell me what is the composition of the yarn? 🥺

What kind of yarn did you use?
amazing tutorial!! even if u mess up some stitches, or forget to do an increase, it will still turn out cute!!
This video is so great. However it would be better if you use a brighter color of yarn so I can see clearly. Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you! I will keep that in mind.
I loved this tutorial! Super helpful I’ve made two hats already and your voice is so soothing! 😊

Its so cute!! I love it, Can i use this same pattern for chunky yarn? Which part do i have to add/minus rounds to get the same effect? Thank you!!

great video ! i have one question though , what to do if its not more of flat but its in a cup shape , the hat
Crochet a little looser :)
so cuteeee ❣️I will try it soon

Hi! I plan to make this for my brother and i’m just wondering how big the hat is? Will the size that your wearing also work for men? Thank you!!!
Hi! This tutorial is AMAZING! I can’t wait to make a Pooh bear hat for my Disney trip! Will this work with thicker fluffier yarn?
Yes! You might need less rows :)
Thank you for responding!!
My hat is looking good so far .
2nd row I counted 16 stitches
3rd row 24
4th row 36
5th row 48
6th row 56
7th row 64
8th row 72
Curve then add 7 rows
When starting the brim u said every 5th stitch but in my hat since there is 72 it won’t end that row in an increase.. did I do something wrong?
What happens if I do inc every 4 then 6 then 7 then 10 . It will still look good like yours ?
Hey! I'm using 8ply milk cotton and its a bit bigger than yours so I'm planning to lessen the rows is it okay? and do you have any tips?
im making this for a 6 month old niece, do i make adjustments to the pattern?
ahh so sorry but cld u upload the pattern?
Anybody else's turn out wayy to big, I did the 7 stitches down and had faith it wasn't gonna be too big but it's HUGE
Me too, I don’t know what I did wrong!,
Mine turned out way too small… Either OP has a tiny head or I have too big of a head 😂😂
Maybe because u didn’t do it right
You didn’t curl it
Hi! if i make this with a 4mm hook, would I need one additional row of increase? (8 normal stitches, 1 increase)
I would think so! The diameter should be about 7 inches long :)
@@gabriellemcauley9827 thank youuuu~ i just finished mine and i love itt

Yes! The stitches will be a tad tighter but it should be good :)
And thank you so much
How come for the 1 hdc for first 4 (front loop) i have extra 2 stitch, its not exact. Help
That is normal! It’s no longer exact for the rows that make the rim.
so what do we do with the extra 2 stitches?@@gabriellemcauley9827
Hi! I’ve gotten up to the brim and mine seems to be smaller. Any suggestions on making it bigger/wider? Love the video!
I would make more increases :) Instead of 4 hdc, inc… do 3 hdc, inc
@@gabriellemcauley9827thank you!!
@@gabriellemcauley9827do you have any suggestions for keeping it flat? My rounds tend to curve up despite going up a hook size
@@paulina332 When mine curves, it is usually when my tension is tight. Try to crochet a bit looser, or make more increases!
What if you want to make the brim wider?
Then add more rows!! Each new row: add two more stitches before an increase. We started with 4 stitches then an increase. The next row was 6 stitches and an increase, then 8 stitches and an increase, then 10, and for another row would be 12 stitches, then 14, etc. Hope this helps!
@@gabriellemcauley9827 Thank you so so so much!!!
i followed it exactly and it ended up way too small, i’m confused. i used a 4.5 hook aswell
If you dm me a pic on Instagram I can offer better advice @g_mcauleyy
5ply or 8ply???
How much time did it take you to make?
3-6 hours!
Hey there could u pls tell me that can we make the hat with normal thin yarn?
Yes! You may want a smaller sized hook as well and it may take a few more rows
@@gabriellemcauley9827 tysm!
