    Always a good idea to buff off after it cures some.
    It prevents streaking after a rain.
    I agree, pretty much equal to Mothers Back to Black.
    One I didn't care for was the Surf City Trim Dressing, doesn't give the same results as the two mentioned.

    • @DrewKap
      @DrewKap 4 роки тому

      After applying, I wiped dry as directed. It has rained and I can see the rain streaks.
      What do you mean by buff? Like waxing and go over it with clean cloth in a circular motion?

    just used this on my 2008 Avalanche LTZ and I only used half a bottle. Brought the plastic pieces to brand new. I would defiantly recommend this. Applied it during 80 degree weather with a micro fiber towel (directions say to use a terry towel). Took about a hour to do the entire truck (back end, mirrors, shark antenna, and by the whippers).

    Being a huge supporter of Meguiars Detailing line and using there products for all the details I've done over the year and find the product Ultimate Back to Black Is very time consuming. Just recently I happen to stumble across Meguiars Professional Product and found there Trim spray works and looks so much more Awesome! If anyone interested in picking up a can and give it a try. I've only come across the product at Pep boys and costs $9.00 the only draw back is depending on how much plastic you're restoring the can will run out quick. I drive a 2011 Jeep 4 door wrangle and after 1 can will do whole car but that's it.

    • @Acc0rd79
      @Acc0rd79  10 років тому +1

    I love this stuff. It's the best working plastic restorer I have ever used. Everything else seemed like a solvent, it would strip the old fadrd layer of plastic off, but then like a day later it's faded again.
    This stuff as best I can tell, is more like a wax that also hydrates plastic.

      Same i used this (see link) and it works well you can easily wipe off any excess and it lasts for months and doesn't wash off even with pressure washer, mainly at the bottom of my windscreen its the only place on my car that has trim thats started to grey out i have tried nearly all the expensive and cheap named brands for back to black and trim restorer and as daft as it sounds this is one of the best things i have ever found and at the local £1 shop in the uk you can pick it up. www.wynsors.com/bags-accessories/accessories/shoe-care/cherry-blossom-ready-wax-40857?gclid=Cj0KCQjwnazLBRDxARIsAECdauugA72mkFR3UHNSUtM-1E0P-5gFbCOc2WgU_iKwgmjA6euMugfX2ZEaAjsaEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

      I have as well for over 20+ years especially on the outside of the tyres as well . :) And Kiwi has a new parade polish with wax as well, so you can polish it as well and also comes in a tube with a sponge applicator so easy to do larger areas. and smaller areas as well. :)
      Also Vaseline is good as well but make sure you wipe off as much as you can and leave just a small film amount on the areas. :)

    sorry sent that before I was done. Basically just double checking before I go ahead with the bottle I just picked up. I was gonna try using it for my lower windshield plastics. the plastic under the top of the hood. More importantly my suburban has the base model steps and they have plastic covers. Is it safe for this? I don't know what I was thinking before but I put my tire shine on it and a half full of times almost broke my neck lol

      Thanks. Will be doing my step up with this product right after putting my motor mount back on and reconnect everythig lol. But I did do my fan surrounding and gotta say not to pleased with the results. I feel it has to be applied verrrry slowly with 4 minimum costs. When I run out I'm gonna try out black on black C.guys product. I have seen the product video and it looks awesome. Way better than applying by hand.

    what would you recommend to clean and polish the chrome trim on cars? its not metal, its the plastic fake looking chrome.

    • @Acc0rd79
      @Acc0rd79  10 років тому

      dmob420 I wonder if the metal polish would ruin that, I doubt it though. You could still try that metal polish though for fun and see what the results are.

      Use poorboys pro polish on plastic chrome trim. It's non-abrasive, but a chemical polish.

      jim beam mopar parts what can I say

    • @berczigabor
      @berczigabor 6 років тому

      Try applying multiple coats. If it doesn't work, then your plastic parts already took too much damage (mostly because of UV, but also road salt can contribute to that) to simply cover that up with UB. In this case you'll need to remove (rub off) the outer, damaged layer of the plastic using some kind of aggressive degreaser/solvent, with a microfiber towel and some serious amount of elbow grease. Then when you're down to the healthy part of the plastic, you can re-coat it with Ultimate Black, and it will stay black for multiple months.

    any way to clean it off other exterior parts like glass, chrome, and the body in case of overspray?

    • @Acc0rd79
      @Acc0rd79  8 років тому

      +fjgthegentleman yah it wipes right off of those areas. But just apply a small amount to a micro fiber towel and it should really make overage easy. Remember, this isnt a spray, its just a liquid form.

      Hmmm I've never done it but I am guessing you could, probably not as good as a true tire shine though.

    • @Acc0rd79
      @Acc0rd79  7 років тому

      I'm sure but there are so many other products you can use inside but I doubt it would do anything to your interior.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas

      tom martin Peanut butter. Rub it on, let it sit. The oil in it will soak into the plastic. then you'll need to clean it all off, best way would be to spray it off with. hose.

    • @Acc0rd79
      @Acc0rd79  7 років тому

      if the plastic is actually scratched where it takes part of the plastic off, all this will do is make it darker or somewhat cover it but it sure won't fix it:)
