Was fed and given a spacious cell to myself for the almost 10 hour stay. Only lost a star as the air con in the holding cells was too cold." 4 STARS Game recognises game.

I moved to the wyong area. When we were house hunting I tried for one place. Showed up for open house and the real estate agent told me it was cancelled because the son of the owner was inside and refusing to let anybody see the house. Another house I was looking at refused to let me see it because they wanted to take it off market to do 'roof repairs'. A few weeks later that entire suburb was shut down because of an active shooter in the area. Felt like I really.... dodged a bullet.

Lived in Tacoma, adjacent to Wyong, I remember the active shooter situation. We've had a few in recent shootings, murders, over the recent years. The shop owner near the train station has been stabbed a few times. Wyong.
@Anon Commenter as a foreigner who doesn't know anything about NSW stuff this is not surprising since modern Australia is made up of the ancestors of English convicts, inbred welsh people, irish people and a handful of aboriginals.
An actual review for Woden Police Station (ACT): Apparently they don't investigate "hit and run's" because it "takes up too much time" and "is not worth the trouble"
Doctors do the Hippocratic Oath. Do no harm. US cops seemingly take an oath to Do Harm whilst Australian cops take an oath to Do Nothing. It’s the Hypocritical Oath.
used to catch a bus home from work at like 1am from the bus stop right outside campbelltown police station and i could probably write a book about all the random encounters i had. absolute specimens
Live in Logan (only 400m from the police station), one night we heard what sounded like shots fired outside from the road. Bundled the kids into centre house (brick wall) hallway hunkered down and called the police. Called our neighbour before they arrived who had CCTV pointed at the street and our driveway, she reviewed it and saw a car pull outside our other neighbours house (housing commission) and a series of flashes out of the car windows, then the car speeding off. When the police arrived, they told us not to worry, they had heard there was illegal fireworks in the area. I told them about what our neighbour saw on her CCTV and they could talk to her to look at the CCTV. Police officer said yeah, they would do that. They then hurried across to their car without talking to our neighbour and drove off in a hurry. I was completely stunned.
Yep, thats logan. One officer st that station "complimented" me on having a perfect skin oil ratio for fingerprinting. Apparently some people hands are so dry or oily the scanner cant read em.
I live round here too, the cops somehow don't do nothing when a drug deal happens right in front of their station but do something when they get the wrong address thrice broke the damn gate at 12 AM and decided to shine lights in
@@ringsystemmusicI'm guessing Ur not Australian but yest there's a town called woy woy. there's even an entire city called Wollongong. look, the names are indigenous and were often the interpretation of colonials saying "I think that's what he said, not sure tho"
8:53 Kiwi here, and my old man had that one once. He was at Maccas, getting dinner, and a couple drunks were trying to pick a fight with the employees near the counter, so my old man called the cops and stood in the only open entrance to the staff area. Two cops walked in, walked *past the drunks* and ordered their dinner. My old man asked the cops "Hey, aren't you guys here to deal with that?" "Nope. We're on break. Didn't even know this was happening." and they just.... did nothing.
Had a similar thing happen at the Macca's I worked at. A meth head came in and started arguing with our maintenance guy and the BIN. We called the police, who are diagonally across the street, no one came for four hours and they were there for their lunch 🤦♀️
Similar here, had a dude chase a teen into a bathroom and smash through the door before wandering off. We didn't know if the dude who tried to attack him was lurking around still so we both hid. Was on the phone waiting for police for 2 hours and no one came.
I checked my local station, and I found a handful of three/four-star reviews that I thought were worth a read: "I had a great 2 night stay I can't complain if it's a free hotel but I had one problem the food was a little gross and the bed was a little small" "cells were comfortable could do with some more leg room was a pleasant over night stay great staff but substandard food and beverages" (What is it with people treating this police station like it's a hotel?) "Arcitech was a bit bland really"

I once lived in a town where the police showed up 2 hours after stabbing because.. When the crime was first reported it was 30 minutes before shift change
Grew up in Penguin. Not a whole lot happened that required the police when I was there. There was a double homicide, but pretty quiet otherwise. My strongest recollection of an interaction with the Penguin Police was when the constable came to the high school and told us 14 year olds that in 10 years about 20 of us would be dead.
My experience of NSW cops is that they are bad. I saw one swearing at and abusing a homeless Indigenous dude. They searched my bag for no good reason. They stood around chatting when a cyclist who punched me was riding away. They have sniffer dogs to catch people with pot and then they strip search them on the street. And when I told a higher up cop that drugs should be decriminalised she slapped me on the chest and said higher-ups know best. Basically, cops are useful in emergencies, but otherwise, it's best to avoid them and work to make a better society so that cops are less and less needed.
In my experience, they're useless in emergencies too. I got threatened with a 7 inch kitchen knife, held an foot away from my face when I was a cashier at Aldi. The cops took way too long to show up, did nothing despite me knowing the FULL NAMES of the people the guy was with and it all being caught in HD by security cameras. They never called me or followed up and didnt write down anything when questioning me. Another instance was when I was in High School, a friend of mine was raped at a bush/house party, everyone knew who did it, there were multiple wittnesses as it was someone's DAD (like 45+ years old) and he was chased off by all the boys when they found him. Cops literally did nothing despite the half dozen people who called, they never followed up with my friend either. Rapist disappeared after the cops wouldnt do anything ... small rural town style 'disappeared' if you catch my drift.
Side note, moved from cool Old school Mafia Griffith which has the best southern italian food in Australia(im not kidding) to the electorate of shitty wannabe al capone John Bruzilaro. Ironic isnt it.
Yeah ... they post the worst cops in these bogan capitals as a form of inner police discipline and punishment. The result is you get a cycle of poor police quality because the cops hate being their as well.
Yeah fuck me I work there occasionally and have had to call the cops a few times for a few delightfully interesting individuals. That and Leeton that's pretty rough
in South Australia, the cops are currently grossly understaffed. Reason: under the previous Govt., legislation was introduced (and passed) that there had to be a 50:50 male/female split in recruiting & graduating. If that 50:50 quota could not be met, no cops would graduate that year. With a new govt. in power, they have ditched the 50/50 quota & asked the recruits who 'failed' to reapply. I shit you not !!!
Yeah they're crying out for new recruits but I didn't know that was the reason why. I assumed mass resignations due to choosing not to have COVID vaccines. 50/50 quota or no one graduates... pretty dumb idea by the last government, which was Liberal. You got a source so I can fact check this? Nothing personal, just want to read more
I was pulled over last weekend the new imported Irish cops accent was so thick In my (uneeded/unwanted) panicking state I struggled to clearly understand his instructions, which he had to repeat for me obviously annoying him. The interaction and incident went by fine, without any problems, however I could see the new recruiting measures of recruiting from overseas could go terribly wrong for some members of the public and the officers themselves due to having a strong accent.
Abusing shool computers to play cracked versions of Halo in a class-wide lan party? Or maybe every time year 12s put bleach into water pistols on muckup day, put soap or jelly into fountains, or arrive dressed as middle easterners on a helicopter?
I had the misfortune of stopping at M1 northbound maccas last week at about 11:30 at night, there was only two other customers in the place yet it looked like a friggin garbage tip. There was no way the tables, floor or shitters had been cleaned all day.
Worked in Wyong for 13 years. Customer service. I have never had so many naked drunk blokes walk in, WTF. When I stopped working there, go figure never see buck naked people anymore….
Worked customer service in Wyong too, had a guy grab a 1.25l Fanta from the fridge and walk out while saying he’d pay us back, someone took a bear sized dump in the middle of our bathroom floor, and while off work but in the area, had the pleasure of being verbally threatened by that psycho who killed her partner after she was done cooking sausages. Such a lovely place!
Blount County Tennessee has a pretty awful police station. Breakfast is cold plain grits and a cold biscuit, lunch is 2 dry peanut butter sandwiches with water to drink, and dinner is beans every. other. night. You're locked down 23 hours a day with 2 30 minute breaks for rec which consists of sitting on your ass in the day room. No TV. No radio. Nothing but staring at the walls. Oh, and they turn off the water for a few hours a day in the cells. Worst jail I've ever been to. 1 star.
Beerwah Queensland. Open between 8am and 4pm. Apparently crime doesn't happen outside those times. Local licenced venues need a three hour wait for a police response.
I haven't personally had problems with them but I know an off-duty officer from there assaulted and injured one of my family members, and two police stations (Beerwah included) refused to investigate, and the officer at Caboolture they spoke to told them to drop the case as it would never get looked into. Mind you, Maroochydore also lost something like $60 million of heroin or cocaine from their secure lock up back in... the 90s? They went to get it for the court case and it was gone. They gave me a ride to work at 2AM one morning because I "looked suspicious" walking up Aerodrome Road in my Maccas uniform, and waited until someone let me in to go. Up until that point, they thought I was going to toss the place over.
It is taught in high schools. In year 11/12 IF you elect to do Legal Studies. I think many Australians don’t know cos it ain’t indoctrinated into you like in the US.
I knew we have one and have heard subjective complaints its really not very good. But you've got to sympathise with the Gosford police who've probably just had to deal with a meth head painting the town brown with his own excrement or Baz and Terry punching each other unconscious outside the pub
Come on one station south to WOY WOY where they just pull you up and say you have to give them ID. I've been pulled up in my car by them a few times and they demand to see my drivers licence. When I ask if I've done anything wrong, his reply was "I'm checking to see if you're wanted". He then stuck his head into my car and started looking around. He then said you can go. They also stopped me going to see my DVA psychiatrist (I did 33 years in the army and came out rather messed up) by not allowing me to get on the train. His excuse was that he didn't know how to read the "Concession Codes" on my free travel card and therefore I wasn't allowed to travel. Mine has the Code "ED" which is Ex Defence and allows free travel due to being on a DVA Gold Card. His final excuse for not letting me go to see my Psychiatrist was "Because I said so". He told me that my Concession Card had been reported stolen. But after I showed him my DVA Good Card with the same name on it, he gave it back to me. I sat at home for three days wanting to end it all. I tried to lodge a complaint but was laughed at. I have no respect for them now and wouldn't urinate on them if they were on fire.

We called the police once because our housemate was having a bipolar episode (we didn't know that at the time) we could hear him yelling and banging in his room and wanted a welfare check they never came. Our next door neighbours later told us that they also heard it also called the police but reported it as a case of domestic violence. the police did not come until 5 hours after the original call when we rang the ambulance. And I know looking back I wish we had called the ambo first but we have lived with this guys for years and this was the first anything like this has happened we didn't know what to do we did call the police every hour on the hour till we tried the ambulance
They need an ambulance, it's a medical condition. Then the Ambos need an elephant gun. No, they try to calm them down and take them to the hospital for temp medicine. NSW Police Officer once telling me that if they had to investigate every suspected paedophile they'd get nothing else done. Then again, in an area with apparently a 90% unsubstaniated on sexual assault complaints (according to ABC), while I find the comment highly disturbing I can find it hardly surprising.
@SeanHartnett-t8c depends on the burden of proof model used, and sex crimes are so prevalent and seemingly typical that cops just don't find them exciting enough. And, they're kinda depressing. And, a lot of cops are covering for mates. And, Courts are under resourced so prosecutors are only taking the easy wins - assuming that the cops ever tell them about a case in the first place. And, there's this myth that most allegations are false. And, my personal least favourite, "there's what you think happened, there's what he thinks happened, and there's what actually happened" as if being fkd against your will is somehow some sort of accident and/or misunderstanding
@SeanHartnett-t8c oh, the 90% unsubstantiated in that particular postcode is blokes covering for other blokes and an extraordinary level of misogyny. It's a small University town after all
Unfortunately its unlikely that will happen as Jordan isnt allowed to comment on Barilaro publicly as part of his court case settlement, until and unless Barilaro reenters politics. (Or so my understanding of the defamation lawsuit is)
Thanks for the shoutout Jordies, it's funny how Penguin is only named Penguin due to a paperwork mix up when naming both it and Sulphur Creek, as Sulphur creek is where the Penguins nest. So that makes all the paper mache even more hilarious 😂
I had the same thing when I showed a police women the constitution and her response was I am not here to uphold your constitution and she turned on me insulting me trying to bait me into doing or saying something she could arrest me for. I wanted to drop this lovely review from a distant suburb I avoid like the plague. I could hear Jordie’s voice while reading it so it was a good laugh. However, polices did nothing until I call 000 to get them here. Interestingly, evidence (my wallet) is in front of polices, kid is in front of the polices, they didn’t do anything. This family probably are recidivists. They have so many people’s credit cards when they confessed his son is a theft and showed me a pile of cards.

They're Freemason piss
They split up my family for no reason at all.. they are absolutely wicked
Cops literally did nothing despite the half dozen people who called, they never followed up with my friend either. in South Australia, the cops are currently grossly understaffed.

I didn't know Australia had a constitution either. I now know I'm exactly as smart as a Gosford police officer. This is a good day for me.

I knew we have one and have heard subjective complaints its really not very good.

A religious loser gave money to a group of religious losers? Hardly surprising. Probably covered up child rape incidents with them too. 😡
hmm...axe to grind? really smooth shoehorn.
Living in Campbelltown, can agree, ford falcons do indeed count as a luxury vehicle.
A few years back in bankstown I watched an asian lady jaywalking in front of 5 police officers standing around doing nothing, and it was 30 cms from a crossing. So naturally they descended on her like vultures, and when questioned she pulled out the classic "No English". The very next day around the same area I watched a female police officer come out of a shop and jaywalk across the road, but in her defence the crossing was a few meters away so she would've had to put effort in to get to it.
Jaywalking is a shit law and only Australia loves policing it.
Hornsby police forgot to shut a jail cell once with a inmates inside , They didn't escape they just went to the break room and ate
To fill in the gaps of the Launceston one, it's not some dude with his nuts out, it's some gronk doing Doughnuts in his car on the grass beside the stadium, waking up all of Invermay (with an n Jordies, not Ivermay)

I figure the odds of any given person in Gosford being on drugs are pretty high regardless of whether they crash into you or not.
And ain't it great to see the coast so well represented on this list.
Come to WOY WOY where they just pull you up and say you have to give them ID.
But after I showed him my DVA Gold Card with the same name on it, he gave it back to me.
I sat at home for three days wanting to end it all. I tried to lodge a complaint but was laughed at.
Each time I asked them to identify themselves and each time they refused.
I have no respect for them now and wouldn't urinate on them if they were on fire.

I wanted to drop this lovely review from a distant suburb I avoid like the plague. I could hear Jordie’s voice while reading it so it was a good laugh.
Dandenong Police Station (2 stars as of right now)
“I caught a theft who is our neighbour’s kid(14y). I told the police to come and arrest him. Their address is (just gonna remove the address cause, yknow) Dandenong, Vic

As someone who once lived in wyong and now lives in gosford, I'm really glad I'm in the company of such great public servants and equally great residents
As someone who lives in Queanbeyan the loud cars hooning around at 3am are a nightly occurrence. You also regularly see one totalled by the side of the road in the morning

Thanks sooooo much to the 2 dog loving officers who rescued Chloe from death today at Capalaba. You are both wonderful & dealt with a nasty situation promptly & with a fantastic outcome! Hope you heal fast little Chloe.

Arresting citizens for standing up for their basic human rights is a disgrace and unlawful acts. You do not honour your vow to protect the community therefore you do not deserve the community respect. May God have mercy on your soul
