I paid a little over $11,500 for my Outbound T-Rex last year. Unfortunately it now leaks. Poor craftsmanship on the build. They don’t use quality parts for the price they sell these trailers for. My frame is rusting out already and my wiring is falling apart. The list goes on and on. Definitely looks appealing and has nice rims and tires. I’m going to have to put more money into fixing mine. I just wished I did more research on the actual construction of these. You can build one of these for less then $3,000. My mistake.
Oh wow savage that sucks brother! We definitely get what we pay for and considering the next jump up for me was in the 20k, it was my only option. Your right about building one for 3k.. you see videos on it all the time but honestly I don’t have the time, space, or certain skills for it right now. Damn, that’s disappointing and it’s only a year old! Have you called the company and asked if they could do anything about it?
@@OJCoz Yeah unfortunately I just didn’t do my research good enough prior to purchasing. This was my first Camper Trailer purchase. I have been finding that there are so many companies that make these type of builds. It’s all about the quality of materials and how it’s put together when manufacturing them. Water damage is the number one thing that can ruin them. I’m 21 hours away. It’s just not feasible. Would be more of a headache, my time and cost more money for travel expenses. The customer service isn’t any help if you have a issue after purchasing. Just going to fix it myself and make the best of it. I love your videos though. It’s definitely a sweet looking trailer.
Yeah I’m in the same boat as far as hours away. I like that attitude about fixing it up though, you can make it even better! Thanks for watching the vids brother!! Have a great weekend.
Any other issues with the trailer since this video? Any issues with the frame? Surprised so much of the frame isn't welded... Looking at purchasing one in the near future, just curious to see what your thoughts are now.
Absolutely no issues with it so far. I haven’t even hit a full year with it though. I check it after every trip and it’s holding up. It’s definitely on the cheaper side as far as trailers go and you can build it however you want or just use it to sleep in:). I’m enjoying it though, it works for us. Thanks for your post brother and if you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask
Great video. How was your customer service with Outbound? To be honest my biggest to concerns at this point are 1) the amount of wood used in their trailers vs say a Runaway that is all composite and 2) The "vibe" I get reading customer service related stuff. On your dislikes I'm 100% with you. Matching the tow vehicle lug pattern is an easy enough thing with trailer axles, even if they only stocked the most common ones e.g. 6x5.5 (Toyota, GM trucks, etc) On the keys, the locks are installed when they receive the doors. Lots of camper companies have this same complaint. You can get matching lock sets from the manufacturers but it is extra expense and a pain. I figured for sure one of your complaints was going to be the wood bottom. Wood is the downfall of any camper for the most part. Still really nice looking campers though.
My luck with their customer service was pretty good actually. When they initially sent me pictures that is was done was when I noticed that my fridge would not fit and we went back and forth through phone calls to make it happen. As far as the wood floor, your 100% right, it is a concern down the road a few years from now. We shall see how it holds up. Up until now it has been awesome. I’ll keep everyone posted the longer I have it and the more I take it out! Thanks for your post Adam!
Hi Omar,
Was great meeting you the other day at Tractor Supply, very cool rig.
Hey Mike! It was great meeting you! Email me so I can get your # brother. Omarcoz@yahoo.com.
That trailer is pretty sweet! However, the lock situation would drive me crazy.
Thank you JK! It’s awesome!

Get a welder and fix the frame. Call a locksmith and rekey the doors!
True and true. :)

Still a very nice trailer. You can spot weld the frame under for added strength
Thanks Jay! Not as nice as yours though!
