    Steve Diggle !!!!
    His writing and singing style is so different from Pete Shelley's, but they both support each others' songs really well.
    This is a really nice live version of the song.

    what I love about music is how it transcends boundaries I was a kid in Liverpool and loved the bunnymen, teardrop, big in Japan, wah but I also loved all the Manchester bands at a time, still going on now unfortunately due to football I can't go to Manchester because if they hear my accent I'll probably get hammered and the same the other way round, the only place you feel welcome is music venues. everyone cares about the music and nout else. I was at spike island for the roses loved that Manchester sound late 80s early 90s as good as anything there's ever been. god bless you made from us music loving scousers😘😘😘😘

    This popped up among the suggested videos a few months ago and made me grab my guitar and play along, which brought up some nice childhood memories... the song features, if I remember correctly, the first guitar solo I ever learned to play...

    • @herringfly
      @herringfly 4 роки тому

      @@localresidentofgortonmarke8415 Your dad and I were very lucky to be 'youthful' at that time. The 70s was a unique decade. I think I took it a little for granted at the time but the range and variety of music was incredible. One of my most memorable gigs was when the Tubes played the Glasgow Apollo around the same time ('79 I think). Your dad might have been into them too. They had a stage presence you just had to stand and watch with your jaw on the floor. I just wish I could go back now and fill in some gaps - bands I'd have liked to have seen but didn't!

    @ballsofun Yes. None of the original punks really liked the Clash as we remembered their previous pub-rock incarnation, the 101ers - who were dreadful. And Joe went to boarding school which hardly struck a chord with us 16 year olds at the time! The Buzzcocks were working class, loud, and bloody good fun! Although the Clash and the Pistols are remembered as original punks, we knew they weren't as 'real' as the Buzzcocks, or the also excellent Damned for that matter
