Foiling changed kiting for me. I quadrupled my total sessions the first year I started. Years later I remember seeing the first wingers at my spot flailing around. I though initially "That'll never catch on.. why not just kite?". Then maybe 4 months later I had a full wing setup and stopped kiting altogether for a looong time after. My kite, windsurf, sup board friends all hopped in, started meeting other wingers and what a first year. It was incredible learning with everyone and sharing the stoke. We launch out of the sketchiest areas we could never do with a kite and just session the shit out of it. This year is super promising🤞. There are many provincial parks/beaches and unknown waters that are just asking to be session'd. There are always so many cool people that come and ask about the sport and how to get into it. High five people in boats while they're moored out on the water. Other unknown wingers that come out after seeing you out and session with you. Meet up on the water or later and share stories/stoke/riding spots. I love it. Everyone is in such a awesome mood and that feeling/atmosphere is very addictive. Love the positive videos man🤙🤙.

The efoil is my obsession.. The ability to go out on a daily basis no matter how calm or crazy the conditions.. love it! 🏄🏼‍♂️🌊.. chasing tour boat wakes and depowering for minutes at a time is a game changer!

What would be even better during that depower mode, is to harness it and hybrid regen the battery 😎

Agree with what you’re saying. The problem was there’s been a few wingers getting too inside and falling on a busy day. That actually really is dangerous for surfers for a big ass foil to get picked up and dropped on them in the curl. Any wingers surfing this spot need to be at a high level , this video is good vibes but can give people the wrong idea that any old winger can surf here with no worries. That’s not the case

Many many foil looks with terrible style at my break riding dangerously close to a pack of 40 surfers, been surfing there 16 years, have no problem with foils, done it a couple times myself but it's much more logical to go where surfboards can't because if you can surf a wave, why would you want to foil it and have to compete with a ton of other surfers. That outside roller at the gate is a perfect zone for wing foil, other spots not so much

Awesome footage and great commentary. Love the section on efoils too. My buddy has a lift efoil with folding prop and he is surfing the swells also, and now learning to wing foil as well! So many great opportunities with the foils.

For the guys on the surfboards, I would say CROWDED. One of the main reasons I quit surfing. Every time a decent swell came in there would be literally more boards than waves, and violence often ensued.

Getting into SUP foiling real soon... like this month. Going to Ol man beach real soon with the efoil. Keep up the content!!

not all foiling is done outside the break... thats where the danger and complaints happen ..when foiling gets too close to kids and guys on foamies /longboards / boogies etc
