If you are talking about 2:20, NRs are common for that train. The shot is just south of Moss Vale at Werai in the Southern Highlands and the train transports limestone to Port Kembla from Marulan (down towards Goulburn).
I guess you caught some of these trains during a time of track building and/or renewal. Lots of dust out of those ballast cars. I was looking for long runs of pre-welded rails but this video only showcases car length track. thanks for tanking the time to catch these workhorses and thanks for editing down your shots into a densely packed video of working rail.
Australianspeedway there was a passenger train at 11:48. Face facts, freight is profitable, passengers aren't overall requiring government subsidy. Only the excursion trains turn a profit without subsidy.
Awesome Video! I love trains (especially freight trains). My town of Mena, Arkansas is on the main-line of the KCS (Kansas City Southern) RR. I like seeing trains from other countries as well, and I really like the paint-schemes on the Australian trains.
Excellent composition, showing a great variety in wonderful sunny weather. Have a look at our much shorter trains here in Wales, UK.....................TheMichaelWilcock.............will find me Regards from the old man of Wales..............Mike Wilcock 71 in Llanblethian.
TheClass37man its called Werai curve, the street is Gate House Lane and like Henboman 2 said its between Moss Vale and Exeter in the southern highlands
That shot of the three LZ's is probably the best piece of Aus rail footage I've ever seen
Nice video ❤️ Greetings from srilanka 🇱🇰
Love those fresh looking pacific national locos

Excellent. We don't need no tier 3 emission control on our new locos.
1:18 austrailia class sounds like gp38 or mp15ac or gp20

You gotta try the Hunter Valley. Coal trains come every 10 minutes! And it is the busiest coal port in Australia.
¡ Extraordinario !
Forgot to say I've subsribed as well ,cheers
3:55 sounds like bl36ph tri rail horn on 🇺🇸 Florida
wonder if theres Aldi's, Wal Mart stores there in Austrailia?
at 11;38 the last unit look more like a SDP-40 unit
We have Aldi but no Wal Mart (yet).
1:00 echo train horn
Train at 1.30 needs to be withdrawn due to emission issues
what's The name of the horn at 0:58 ?
Nathan K5UL-AU-LS
Isin't it unusual for NR classes to haul those hopper cars?
No cityrail, just freight trains
is there cityrail because i watch 2 minutes only
Train 1
Wide nose?
Yeah it's a DL class and I doubt you would see that here anymore. I think there's one still operational and it's mostly just a trailing unit.
+Australian Freight Trains hmm
Thats cool
Tri State Railfan ProductionsTM *xxMineVSCraftxx* .
A single passenger train. Why not more? Where are the Xplorers, the "Indian Pacific", the CityRail suburban services? Boring video.
jslasher1 being the hunter valley the Indian pacific doesn’t run up there
