this guy is awesome! 1 thing though, alot of great legend mixer and studio tech's usally say to "always do vocals last" becouse a mixer seems to make the very last think they mixed the loudest in a mix, so why not use that to your advantage and just do vocals, so it sits right on top and is the loudest in the mix, but i love this guy, great job, i agreed with everything except for doing vocals first
Mmm... To me, mixing is about doing what is right for the song. I do like over-the-top things, but with a band that is 100% acoustic (and damn good) like this one, I believe these "micro adjustments" are what's right. In that regard, it is unfair to insinuate that Fab isn't "actually doing a mix." That being said, some things like the one he did with the Fatso were pretty drastic, but still sounded natural. You wouldn't want to ruin a live recording with an unnatural mixing would you?
Great
thanks for the kind words

Those S's were so hard, I would have went and gained them down individually after I the de' Esser. Always works for me...
I'm solid steel

It would be much more interesting to see and hear someone actually do a mix. This is just micro adjustments.
