Madeleine, you don’t ever have to justify the portion sizes you eat. People would be brainless not to realize we all come in different shapes and sizes. I’m 61 years old and 5’1” and always wish I was taller so as not to resemble a Hobbit. I must say your videos have inspired me to eat less meat and more vegetables. You make everything look so delicious. Kudos to you.
Thank you so much! I mainly want to share because I want to mindful of those with eating disorders or disordered eating xxx
@@MadeleineOlivia, that’s very thoughtful of you.
@@MadeleineOlivia , I was wondering if you have any recipes using polenta? I know it’s gluten free but it really needs other ingredients to take it from bland to fabulous. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
@@beec9741 Im not madeleine, but here is what I love 😉
I cool my polenta in veggie broth until it reaches a „porridge“ consistency, then when serving will add some nutritional yeast on top.
To go along I’ll usually make a ratatouille 😊 for added protein, you can oven roast chickpeas or cook them in the ratatouille depending on whether you want a crunchy topping or not.
Otherwise I’ve seen a lot of people making a kind of sweet breakfast porridge with it too, but I’ve never tried it myself. ☺️
@Bee C I'm Italian American, and growing up, we often served stew over our polenta. Just thought that it might give you another idea.
I love LOVE LOVE love LOVE the way you said "if I'm hungry after this, I'll have something else to eat". It is so freeing and so obvious. Varied veg, healthy fats and protein 😋 then more if you need it. So lush. So sensible. So free from complications and worries.
You're so wholesome. I always feel rebalanced and calm after watching these videos.
The only WIEAD vids that aren't restrictive and triggering
I can't help but notice you look incredibly well in this video, such a radiance you're giving off , thankyou for another lovely video ❤️
That’s so kind of you! Thank you
I am always here for a book ramble. I've started binge watching your older content because I haven't been around for a while. I'm glad that I've rediscovered your videos. I'm also thrilled to meet a woman that eats as much as I do! 😊
Hi Madeleine, I got my first job as trainee chef on a small island in Scotland, I will be on soups, salad and sandwiches... I'm a long time watcher-sub yr vids have been so inspirational and soothing throughout all those years... let' s see where this career change will lead xo
Ouh good luck 😊 and what island if I may ask? 🙈
@@justmeemi6350 cheers! I will be on the Isle of Iona :)
@@jodiej3283 :) that's lovely :) xo xo
Love your videos! Tried the Roasted Pepper Orzo yesterday you made in one of your recent videos, I had to use a different pasta shape and followed your tip to add artichokes and it was amazing! I am starting to get out of my comfort zone with cooking more at the moment. My mum was always an amazing cook while I was growing up and I always thought I didn’t share her talent and didn’t pick up anything from her. But recently my friends and boyfriend started praising my cooking (all amazing cooks themselves) and I am starting to get more confident in my abilities. Your recipes are a part of that thank you ❤
I absolutely love the meal plan video and your what I eat in a week is always inspiring keep sending out your love of food and life the world needs it ❤️
I really love the long videos! ❤
Loved all the meals you made - your videos are always inspiring to me 🤩
Love love love these meal prep/ weekly meal videos. They give me so much inspiration for my own weekly meal organization and prep. Thank you and looking forward to more of these ❤️😉
I love the ideas that I get from your videos. Everything looks so yummy!
I'm in the Trek bar crew! Just had such a long day of work and commuting in a really busy period of my life, I needed this long video to decompress after the day (and motivate me to make a nutritious dinner....) big love
I love your new top! Very nice. I love seeing the meals you created from all the cooking you did.
I LOVED this video, thank you so much! Loved seeing your meal prep video and then this one. Love, love, loveeee! Hope the hen do you went to was fun!
Liked this, nice and chill. I liked your reminders to tailor your meals to your own needs and to not stress about trying to be perfect.🥰
Thanks for your suggestions, they're very helpful and I look forward to make them.
Thanks for good ideas meal planning 😊
Another fab video loved all the food you made 💗
Enjoyed this video so much 💗
I love soups!!!! And I loved this video, wonderful in every single way.
I've really enjoyed the silliness that you've put into the videos these past months! Thinking of the goofy edits, bloopers at the end etc. Love to you both! x
The salad with tempeh and Wellington with mash and gravy look so good! 🤤
I love how happy and bubbly you are in this video, I hope you’re doing well❤
Loved this…thank you for sharing xxx
Loved these recipes and everything looked absolutely DELISH 😋.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am learning so much from you about a healthy diet. I wish you all the best 🌸
Loved all the meals you made. You have given me inspiration! I too always have hair constantly around with having 2 dogs and 1 cat, but well worth it.
Always measure ingredients with your heart! :)
Love you! ❤️ amazing meals.
Beets roasted in pesto is divine!! That wellington looks amazing... definitely going to try concocting something like that. Yum!
i love rebecca! it s such a good book!
Really loving your videos atm. Hope you're well ❤
@smallseedbar is such a great tasting bar plus the ingredients list you can’t beat.
Love love love all your videos, I don't always comment but want to let you know that you are changing lives. At least mine, thank you for all your food tutorials and your recipes. 💜
These past two videos have inspired me to make more pies :) i love homemade pies but not made it such a long time. I dont know why I have not had any over the winter, but makes complete sense from a warm hearty meal pov. Thank u for inspiring me :)
Yay!! Finally Madeleine came with this video and I really needed this video so so much you are my inspiration and I wish you reach 600K Subscribers very very soon!💫☺️💕
Maddie thanks for just being you.❤️ I read Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel such great reads. Love love themselves
Love your recipes! I’ve made your red pepper pasta, creamy satay tofu curry and today we had the Eggless mayonnaise sandwich- so delicious! I ended up popping in some a Richmond vegan bacon too which worked well.
I’d be very interested to see some air fryer cooking at some point 😊
Loved this - so neat to see what everyone else is eating around the world! Also thanks so much for not rushing to cram it all into like a 15 minute video either haha
Yummy, beautiful food!
I'm impressed with how long that salad stayed fresh! It looked so good, I'll have to pick up some tempeh and try that out with my salads as well 😊 I've always thought with a wellington that the mushroom (and cabbage in this case) goes all the way around whatever's in the middle, so doing a thin layer of those all across the puff pastry instead of a thick layer either under or on top could be a solution?
I love your videos!
Great vlog ❤ 😊
Loved it ❤
I feel like I can always say that these what I eat in a week are my favorite videos of yours 😋🤤💖!! Also, I'm just curious: what are some tips for managing to get more protein into meals? I'm just curious to hear your perspective ❤️!!
My hot tip to get in more beetroot is to cut it up and freeze it then add it to my berry smoothies!
Great video. I love the idea of meal prepping especially salads... It makes the meal so easy and available... And I think the no individual clean up for those meals makes it a winner. Looking forward to your Wellington recipe.
Btw... Your silver earrings in the last day are really gorgeous... Can you share where they are from?
Thanks
The wellington looked like my kind of dinner. I looooove mash and gravy. I too am not a great fan of beetroot, but do roast it ,as it tends to taste better that way to me. I think that’s your best vegan meal yet !. Xx
I'm really enjoying all your cooking videos so fare, I also like that your showing meal prep, something I've not done or considered, but maybe I will after watching all this, who knows, but yes please keep the cooking coming your recipes are so down to earth , what I call normal food, what we all eat at dinner time and not something that's just put on here purely for show. 🥰🐾
Good morning Madeleine & Alex and love 🥰 this what Madeleine ate in a week and hopefully you are having a good week. Have a happy Friday and weekend and thanks for being so inspirational. Love 💕❤️ Madeleine & Alex.
I love Nugo protein bars!!! They're vegan and taste like a chocolate bar. They have different kinds too (chocolate salted pretzel, chocolate peanut butter, etc). They all have between 10 and 12 grams of protein. I'm not sure if they have them in the UK or not, but I've found them in at least a couple places throughout the U.S.
100% agree that dirty Chai is the best drink on the planet! Love all your videos Madeline; I’m vegan to, and am interested in implementing any sustainable or ethical elements of living into my lifestyle! Sending you love and some sunshine from Australia xxx ❤
Plain vegan yogurt also taste good on top of the pasta
I hope you keep doing meal prep because I'm very interested in strategies of how to make foods that keep all week (like storing the salad dressing separately)
I would defo recommend going back to a court of mist and fury at some point, it does take longer to get into as it’s a bit different to the first one, but it’s soooooo worth it, it’s one of my faves, I wish I could go back and read it for the first time again xx
The Nugo Sea Salt Chocolate Prezel protein bars are my absolute fave and I would die for them. Would recommend you try them if they're in the UK
Can we see your cleaning routine?? I’d love to see how you clean the kitchen or bathrooms🖤
Thanks for another interesting vide
I might try part reversing the beetroot and mushrooms in the Wellington. ie, finely chopped mushroom & beetroot in the duxelle, and enormous closed chestnut mushrooms as the main bulk. Love seeing how you develop recipes...and Alex the willing (and lucky) Guinea-pig!
The meals look yummy as always. Specially the mushrooms with mashed potatoes. I Love beets. My mom use to make pickled beets. Which now I'm craving them. lol. He is right. Never can have enough gravy. Lol.
Do you have a cookbook? I just found you on UA-cam. If you don’t, you should write one. I love your English cottage and your kitchen is so cozy. Everything you make looks amazing YUM
M, I love old films. And especially those of Alfred Hitchcock, of which "The Birds" is set in a small ocean side town not far from my California home. The story was originally written by British writer Daphne du Maurier and first published in her 1952 collection The Apple Tree. In the collection it was set in your beautiful Cornwall. Perhaps if you have a future difficult time getting into a book, maybe a collection of stories might be the ticket through. What a great goal. And what a great video. Thanks so much! Brenda from California
Very posh Gary, what a difference it makes when food is well presented that dessert yum I’d give it 9
Your recipes always look so good, Olivia.👏🏻
Thanks so much Sarah!
Free soul - their chocolate brownie one is so good. Soft, chewy, no nasties and I think vegan. Love their protein powder too. No artificial sweetners and the chocolate one in porridge is insane xx
Heya Madeleine, hope your felling less stressed now, I'm aware that I'm watching this video a couple of days after release, hopefully you see my message! If its not to annoying for you to tell me but I was wondering where you get your dinner plates, the white ones with the deep lip on them, Alex has one of said plates on his lap at the end, eating your beetroot Wellington, I love the way they are quite deep for a dinner plate with loads of depth for gallons of gravy. I can never seem to find anything like them, my family are all gravy/sauce monsters and we can't really keep eating our meals out of big pasta bowls because they are able to hold all the sauce, 😂😂😂😂 thanks a million and I love the look of the parcel filling, the pasties looked delish, lots of love for a fab week, by the way it's snowing here in Ireland so our spring seems to be taking its blooming sweet time to arrive over here, 😢😢😢 love to all of you and I hope your baby's leg is better now xxx
Favourite vegan protein bar is Trek Millionaire Shortbread. Sold individually in the free from section. Delicious! 15g protein
AGREEEE
Have you tried cooked beets in smoothies? I love them 😍 swap for half the berries in your favorite berry smoothie recipe
Sorry my phone had a mind of it's own l was saying thanks for
Another interesting video from
Your lovely cosy kitchen.
Kind regards
Ann.♥️
i love misfits protein bars :D smores and chocolate brownie are amazing!
Oooh will try these next!
I'm also in the Misfits fan club!
DK if Aloha bars are available in the UK, but they are my favorite soy-free vegan protein bars. Many flavors, 14gm protein in each bar. My favorite flavors are peanut butter chocolate chip and vanilla almond.
I would love to see the recipe for the beetroot-wellington 😍😍😍
👀👀👀
Thank you for talking about height being a factor, I watch so many dietitians who would say what I eat is too low in calorie, but it's the perfect amount for me, I don't loose weight, I stay the same and its a healthy weight for my height. Appreciate you mentioning it!
Awesome
you’re so pretty! ☺️
Lovely video! I'm not a huge beetroot fan normally but I grow golden beetroot and love it (it's much less, well, beetrooty 🤣) x
Oh persevere down the track with a court of mist and fury, you'll be glad u did. Oh and loved this ❤️
😁
I loved Green Chef! When we could afford it, it taught me the basics of cooking and putting together meals that are simple, nutritious and delicious!
Haha I just read both books in about a week. And the second book is wayyyy better than the first ( my opinion) only thing is you need to trust through the first 40 pages and past the wedding and all is well ☺️
What is your favorite protein powder? I tried orgain organic protein powder in vanilla and I found it tasted super fake and almost chemical like. I’d like to find one I like for busy days
Good Luck
My favorite protein bars are the MISFITS ones
Where did you buy the protein bar from?
The washing up gloves cutting the beetroot is such a vegan problem 😂😂😂 love it. I feel you!
Does the protein powder you use taste powdery at all?
Are sun chips called sun bites in the UK??
Have you tried Deliciously Ella’s energy balls? Game changer if you need a quick pick me up xx
Would be great to know your vitamins, super greens etc. I know I need to get on it with this but it’s a bit overwhelming
The only essentials if you’re vegan is B12! Other than that it’s best to speak to your doctor about if you need extra supplementation and go off you own personal health needs. You don’t NEED a greens powder especially if you eat a variety of fruit and veg in your diet x
Your text corrections of yourself during your book discussion were so funny.
I'm 5 foot 2 and prob eat the same portion sizes as you 😂. Lemon zest is the magic ingredient in soo many things, it changes everything for the better!!!xx
I'm so jealous of your height. It seems, we always want what we don't have. Enjoyed your video. I also love the Galantino Olive Oil Bottle. I have several of their bottles which are now empty. They are lovely additions to any kitchen.
Usually they say you should have about half your body weight in grams of protein ( as a good guide, but varies with activity levels and goals).
All things salad !
Vegan cream cheese is just too pricey for me so thank you for the suggestion on substitutes!
I love to watch your videos. They are always so delicious and you seem like a person who loves food. You also eat sweets and that makes you so normal❤,
That is fine,i only wish,i could enjoy food that much😔. I am also a tall person and struggle with my weight and figure. I am allergic to alot of things,eg.nuts,etc. This makes it hard for me to eat fully vegan, but i do enjoy what i eat.
Beetroot gives me an idea😎. I had beetroot chips sometime ago. Why don't you try to make some?. Maybe just clean them, peel them, put them on the oventray. Springle with salt and pepper and drizzle with a bit of olive oil, then bake them?
Rachel by Daphne du Maurier is a wonderful book! "Last night I dreamt I was at Manderly again..." One of the best opening lines!
You’re making me want to read it again…
@@MadeleineOlivia I think I have read it 4 times. The first time as a teen and I have loved that book since. About time for me to revisit Manderly!
Hi Madeleine, could you show us a healthy protein bar recipe please?( you may have already done one and I’ve missed it!! ). There is that much sugar in a bought one some of them are so deceiving and are not actually healthy. Great recipes thank you. ❤
I’ll add it to the list to create!
Thank you honey, that would be lovely.
I can't wait to try the Wellington! Also, your makeup brushes may be shedding when you apply your makeup and those are the "hairs" on your face. 🤷♀️
