Just ordered one while there’s 30 pounds off. Thanks for doing this video. Wouldn’t have ordered one without your recommendation, keep up the good work 👍
Great, clear instructions, delivered at a pace that was easy to keep up with. Cheers.
Thanks for the review I've been looking at getting one of these spot carpet cleaners.
Thank you so much we’ve just got one of these spot cleaners can’t wait to use it xx
Love this video this is the only video I found which shows in detail how to use it❤❤👍🏻
As a professional carpet cleaner, dont put any cleaning solution in the tank. Only use it as a pre spray from a puffer spray. Otherwise you will leave soap in your carpet which will attract dirt. Also, coffee is a bugger to remove, especially on wool carpets. If it doesn't come out the first time it ain't coming out! You need specialised coffee and tea removers to stand any chance!
Good luck and don't overwet!!
I’ve got coffee and red wine out of a carpet using a biological detergent meant for clothes.
@@ibaisaic Vanish gold has been a lifesaver getting out coffee from my beige carpet. Scoop some on, add some water, scrub the ever loving daylights out of it and carpet clean away!
not so pro judging by the responses LOL LOL LOL LOL
Just bought one ,will comment after use ,but thank you for demonstration ,makes me want to get cleaning 😊
Love my vax spotwash carpet cleaner!! It is really good, I was meaning to buy one and then I spilled dark navy paint all over my cream carpet!!!!!!! Took a few goes but the stain is gone. It was a stubborn stain so in the final stages I did use a spray on carpet cleaning solution first before using this cleaner. It wouldn't have worked without this spotwash though, it is brilliant! The filling port for cold water could be better positioned (but now I think about it, if it was at the top it could have been too high up to fill up in the sink), but overall it is a great design
Thanks very informative just ordered one
Just bought one, gonna try it tomorrow. Thanks for the review.👍
Any feedback about it 7months later?
Really useful review, thank you.
Just ordered. Been delivered tomorrow. Thanks
Thank you very much for the great explanations. May God bless you 🙏
Thank you so much for your video, I'll get one for sure.
Bought this for £90 and it’s one of the best things I’ve bought. Did exactly what I wanted and extremely satisfying to use in that you can see the dirt being sucked up out of whatever you’re cleaning. I mainly used it on Upholstry ( 2 armchairs, one in a room with a multifuelstove and the other my Golden cocker spaniels favourite especially after torrential rain 🫣) brought them up like new!!👏🏼… an excellent to-the-point video btw!
New here! Just bought one! Brilliant video! 🙏🏻
Great demo, thank you.
Great clear easy to follow video. Thank you. I agree about the filling hole, definitely in the wrong place!
Thank you so. Much for showing me how to use my cleaner
Great unboxing and demo.
Congratulations on the 100k catching you up soon 👍👍
😂😂😂😂
For the filling part use a funnel it's easier
Thank you very much!!! You explained very good even I understood 😅

Thanks for this video, it’s been very helpful prior to using my new machine.
Great video Rog and congratulations on 100k subs.
Hi Roger, thank you for the clear & informative demo. Just bought one of these. Would you recommend using the vax solution only or have you tried alternatives? Thank you!
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers! 🎉
Just ordered mine
Got mine delivered today so thanks again for sharing your video and big up from Scotland. Any tips on the cleaner solutions prices
Love the hose clean feature.
good review 👌
This has affected the Bissel which can now be had for £90 from Argos.
I have just bought this VAX from Sonic Direct for £100 delivered.
Thankyou Roger, I have been after something handy and efficient like this for a while now to clean up after my two cats.
Update; I paid for one of these for delivery on the 15th from Sonic Direct. I had a phone call the following day saying they were on back order with delivery in four weeks. I cancelled my purchase as I know from experience how some companies can keep customers waiting indefinitely, whilst holding their money (I had paid with Paypal which I have found gives protection). I had another phone call later telling me they could get me one that they had found in stock and would I like one. I told them I had cancelled my purchase and that my refund should have been actioned, which they said it had (they were correct as I had a paypal refund that day). I notice now this company does not list this item for sale.
I would never buy from Sonic Direct due to a bad experience of my own.
Great, thank you for your video -))
100k subscribers - congratulations
Congratulations for your 100k
Hi great video! I used mine for the first time a couple of days ago on carpet. However where I used the water hose there are now new watermarks on the carpet! Please can you let me know how to avoid this? Thanks
Can you tell me what performs better drier vax versus rug doctor spot wash thanks
Congratulations on 100 k subs
I found the hose part where you grip, was quite hard to grip with arthritis. It would have been better with something non slippery around where you hold. I found I pressed the button, on and off to squirt water, by accident. Also the hose is a little short. Over pull and you knock it over. Much to my despair. I had to then soak up a lot of dirty water.
Knowing this beforehand you can be wise to it. It's light which is good, however it makes tipping over easy done if not careful. Otherwise yes little jobs it's good. Problem is most jobs tend to be not so little and if they are that little then you can easily scrub it anyway. Just my thoughts. I actually borrowed it off my daughter for quite a big job, being all we had. So grateful. My dog had a hemorrhage. Lots of blood to clear up and it coped very well. Not perfectly but it is only little. So I'd give it a thumbs up. Got to put a grip part on the hose so it's easier to hold. If it was mine I'd add something. Use a jug to fill. Once you have the measurement, you can't over fill.
💛
I like it
I want to buy one of these to clean a rug in our living room, and I could also clean our stairs with this, but then also thinking of just buying an upright so I can clean larger areas, what would you recommend?
Congratulations on 100k
❤️❤️
What's the rubber cleaning tool for? Also would you recommend this one or the Bissel spot cleaner?
To do the self clean is your hose clicking in or your just holding it there? Mine won't go in properly
Hi my vax has started constantly spraying water so just drains all water very quickly and is soaking my rug? Any tips? Xx😢
Where do you store the "Hard Floor Scrub Attachment" when not in use?
Suggestion, when filling with clean water, fill up to required line... a bit awkward.. Then lie flat ( filling position).. Then add a new line where the water level is, with a marker pen.
Then, next time put it under the tap and fill to correct level... No need to keep tipping upright to check the right level.. . I hope you can understand.
Actually, simplest way is I measured out how much for each line. Small Area: Water = 400ml, carpet shampoo = 100ml. Large area: Water - 1 litre, Shampoo = 200ml (yes I doubled checked the amount of water and shampoo for a large area).
I have written these amounts in the manual in case I forget.
Then when wanting to use the machine I use a 500ml measuring cup (with markings every 100ml) and a funnel.
But still, it is very stupid place to situate the filler cap (also makes emptying much harder).
I agree with you Roger. We’ve got a spot washer (Bissell) and we’ve never used it on old dried stains - it’s for emergency clean-ups as and when life happens.
Congratulations on your 100k
With the fill hole issue fill it to the mark with water. Lay flat and make your own mark. So you don't have to keep lifting it vertical to check. Same for the solution mark. 😊
They put the fill hole at the back so that ppl dnt have it plugged in and try to fill it 😊
Hi There how does this compare to the Vax spot duo you have recently reviewed a few weeks ago?
Congrats for 100k subs! :D
can you use it with other solutions?for example, rug doctor?
Will this clean a very old but comfortable sofa that is marked by dark trousers?
I spilled a bottle of becks blue lager over my beige fabric sofa which I vaguely wiped at the time.
I spent some time on it today with my Spotwash which I sprayed with the solution and left awhile, but it wasn't very 'soapy ' although it looked and felt wet, and no solution was emptied in to the dirty bin side.
What did I do wrong?
Omg concragulations for reaching 100k subs
Hi would you recomended this one or would you recomended any other ?
Great review thanks!!! Can any one advise me please. I have got large spot of blue ink on my light blue settie cushion! How can I get rid of it please?????
I would buy a stain remover specifically for ink or try something like methylated spirit. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
Hi.
This is a better or the Vax home duo?
Thank you
Hi did I just make a mistake buying the Bissell spot clean pro I just wanted to know which is better and more powerful please help
is it as powerful as bissel spot clean i owned one for about 2 weeks i sold myn then i got a numatic george
They have a hoover version of that
Hey. Thank you. Mine is leaking water out of the bottom of it, under the clean water tank part. Any ideas? Is it faulty? Thanks.
Hi, we have the same issue - were you able to sort it? Or is it faulty?
Thank you for the thorough review. What about vomit or urine stains?
I have used similar machines on pet urine and they have removed the stain, but additional products may have to be used to eliminate the smell. Most machines of this type should be able to remove vomit, but always pick up any solids in some kitchen roll before using a spot cleaner.
Well done Roger - 100k subs wuhoo!!!
Can these machines be stored wet in a cupboard after use or do they have to be cleaned and dried before storage?
@@huskyvacs Thanks Husky, makes sense.
I always empty both tanks and remove them from the machine so air can circulate. I wouldn’t want to put them away wet as I fear damp getting into the motor and causing damage.
Would you recommend, this vax spot cleaner or the bissell spot wash cleaner? Just going off of how it works, if the suction is stronger, the brush is better? Please x
I would go for the Bissell Spotclean Pro or Spotclean Pet Pro as they have a larger capacity and slightly more suction.
Would that machine be alot easier to use in the car?
Hi would you recommend this over a bissell spot cleaner? I have fabric sofas and rugs, a very messy child and a cocker spaniel! I dont know whether to buy a full size cleaner or a spot cleaner , any advice on which brand/ model to go for? Thanks in advance :)
They are very similar. Both hoses on the Bissell Spot cleaners I used split near the handle and the Vax has a similar hose, so hopefully it won’t split like the Bissell models. If you don’t have a lot of wall to wall carpet, then I don’t think you need to buy a full sized machine. I like the Bissell Pet Pro model as it has a larger capacity and it’s the machine I used most until the hose split.
@@ibaisaic thanks for the reply, yes I was actually looking at the bissell Pet Pro spot cleaner but wasnt sure to go for the full size or the spot cleaner, for now I have all hard floors but will be moving soon and I plan on carpeting the bedrooms in the new house. Do the full size models clean upholstery (sofa, car) as good as the spot cleaners? I was looking at the bissell Pro heat 2x revolution 18583 and the Bissell 20666 Revolution Pet cleaner. Would you recommend any of those or a Vax instead? Thanks a million for your advice, it's much appreciated
Would have been good to see a more thorough demo of the cleaning of the tank at the end of each wash. But a great demo.
Does anyone know if this would work on shaggy rugs?
Can you make your own solution with vinegar? 😮
So which is better, the home version or the spot version?
Can you use this on a mattress?
Yes, but will it remove red wine stains?
i have a question does it have to be the spot cleaner for it or can you put in other detergents aswell?
You could use other detergents as long as they are meant for carpet washers a are low foaming. However, using a different brand of cleaning solution may invalidate the warranty.
Yay 100k!!!!
In the Vax's defense. I've worked with an industrial strength carpet cleaning machine. (Large van mounted set up) Even that doesn't clean up coffee.
In the 80’s when my brother’s and I would often spill coffee as we took it upstairs. I removed it using 1001 foam carpet shampoo and a stiff brush.
Congratulations 100K subscribers!
I remember on your other channel, you had a ball you was going to get rid of it but then you asked will I ever reach a 100K subscribers the ball come up with yes.
What do you mean when you say suction only? I ask as the clean water section has a LOT of liquid. And didn't pressing the little trigger just sprinkle out a little bit? How does so much water end up in the dirty tank?
The stains were pre treated with solution and more solution was applied during cleaning. The dirty tank contains the solution that was extracted from the carpet during the video.
How do you empty the dirty water side?
What in the world were the designers at VAX thinking when they put that fill port on the side?!?!? Someone needs to be fired over that ridiculous decision.
Most VAX cleaner washers have an awkward to get at fluid filler usually at the back of the tank. It's to stop small children getting access to the liquid. Filling with a small funnel or a jug with a lipped spout makes the job a doddle. Think about it.......if it was at the front and easy for kids to get at people would be complaining about that instead and presumably suing for compensation........yes it really happens too. In some territories it's illegal to have a filler cap on the front for the same reason.
Martin is very much correct, but I see your point of finding it really hard to fill up. They could at least supply a curved funnel to aid with filling up!
It actually works out better for me. I have a small shallow sink upstairs & it’s perfect. If it was on top I’d have to go downstairs…
Such a very sill decision where it's at sill downfall on such a unique little hoover.
mine does not release any steam or water. Any idea why? thanks
I need to clean the side of my sofa so I won’t be using flat but at a 90 degree angle. Will this be ok please?
Yes, you can use the head at any angle as long as you keep the head flat on the surface of the item you are cleaning when sucking up the solution.
I own a carpet/tile/grout cleaning business... i also work in the flooring trades.
If you don't mind I'd like to share some knowledge.
The stain removal relies more on the solution than the machine. Over the counter products aren't really meant for deep set in stains. They're formulated for touch-ups.
Those machines can be used with professional solutions. My advice would be to purchase professional products and follow the dilution and application directions to the letter. You'll achieve much better results. Also... no matter what, always pre-spray, agitate, and give at least a 20minute dwell time prior to extraction.
This is very helpful! What brand of cleaner do you recommend?
@@mou0167 I'm in the US. I swear by Release-It products.
Would this be suitable for cleaning the full interior of a car using decent cleaning solution?
