- It's been a decade since we first got to see the Cullens on the big screen, and in celebration, the film will be rereleased on home entertainment with a brand-new "10 Years Later" featurette starring Jackson Rathbone and Catherine Hardwicke and in theaters with a special two-day event. To get even more into the Twilight spirit, we caught up with Jasper Hale himself, actor Jackson Rathbone, to reminisce with a few fun facts from the Twilight saga!

Quite a few of the actors stole or rather fought for some of the things their character had on set, I think it was Elizabeth Reaser who took a necklace her character had. And Peter Facinelli, in his words " Stole " something his character had too. I remember them mentioning taking - stealing an item from their character, during a Q&A panel. 😅

Jackson & Catherine Hardwicke (director of Twilight) did a tour/behind the scenes feature prior to the showing for the 10th anniversary, which I went to see Sun night. They were great & I really enjoyed it ☺

Which makes sense honestly, as his daughter Lilly Mo Sheen was a huge fan at the time, and he also enjoyed himself quite a bit on set.
Wow, he had a very different experience from Robert Pattinson.

what was Robert's expirence?
i guess, because he played a smaller part (AMAZING acting btw) he didn't get as harassed as rob, wasn't really in the public eye every second of every day when twilight was a hit, and didn't get cheated on for (i suppose) PR purposes. also, robert has said he was almost fired from the first movie because the production didn't agree with his portrayal of edward, i think. he didn't even like stephenie meyer and thought the books should never have been written. anyways, i can even understand why robert despises the saga, even though it was a real move on his career.
@@saturnssubliminals as Pattenson was reading both the books and the script he said he hated Edward so he made the decision to play him as a "108 year old manic depressive virgin"
@@saturnssubliminals he also didn't smile much (becuase he was playing Edward as manic depressive) so the director highlighted all of the times Edward smiled in the book and Pattenson gave the book back with all of the times Edward frowned highlighted. They told his manager they would get rid of him so he faked being happy to be there after that.

I actually had a huge crush on Jasper when I was younger haha. Everybody else was talking about Edward and Jacob - even Emmett a lot. But I always loved Jasper (and Carlisle to be completely honest.)

Funnily enough I didn't know Peter from playing Carlisle. I was a high school senior in 1999 and he did this movie that I still love to this day (Can't Hardly Wait) that came out around that time. He played the jock asshole Mike, opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt, in that movie so when I saw him playing Carlisle, after I had read the books, I was hella skeptical of how I was going to reconcile asshole jock Mike to Dr. Cullen. When I saw the movie, however, I could see he was a great fit. It's been interesting seeing him grow as an actor tbh.
When the movies came out I definitely liked Jasper and Alice's relationship a lot. I felt more kinship to Alice since I was always that quirky outgoing fun friend. I couldn't really get in Bella's head tho I did understand how she felt in New Moon when Edward left.
At that time I think we all kinda picked a character from Twilight that we thought reflected our personality and Alice was definitely me.

Other actors should take note of Jackson Rathbone's style in the media and with previous projects. He is a joy to listen to because he exudes a warm personality that is based in a positive outlook. He has not forgotten his fan base.
Instead of focusing on negatives, remember what was good. You do not have to lie, your positive recall will enamor your audience to you. You do not have to gush about the script, character, location, or project in general, just talk about your experience if that is all you can be positive about.
Do not spend your media time dissing your previous work. There will be overlap between fans and projects, plus negativity gets old fast. If you can't say anything nice, then shut up.
All these actors/musicians that hate on their projects/songs, think it is all beneath them, and occasionally strike out at their fans are whiny idiots. If you don't like it, don't sign on for it. How much you suffer or hate your character or whatever is not going to make fans want to seek you out and listen to you.
A quick note on Pattinson. If Edward was so unseemly, if the story was so grating, if the fans were so over the top, and if this project was so beneath you, why did you stay? They were going to let you go due to your attitude after the first installment, so you had an easy out. You decided to stay, so it is high time you shut up about it. Your acting in Harry Potter was pretty good, in the Twilight Saga, just so-so, and in the Haunted Airman (why don't you complain about that one?) it was on par with the other two. By the Lighthouse you finally found your footing and that got you Batman. Without the earlier experiences you would not have developed as an actor, so stop whining about your opportunities please, you did willingly sign on.

I lived in Vancouver, WA, which is a 5 minute drive across the bridge from Portland,Oregon. My hubby, who never watched Twilight with me (he watches documentaries and NASCAR only), ran into Rob Pattinson at Costco in Portland. Poor Rob had a giant TV up on his shoulder in the check out line, but he was being mobbed by screaming, giggly girls. Hubby, clueless, was annoyed that he couldn't get checked out fast enough because of the crowd. He came home and told me about it, asked if I knew who this Robert Pattinson was. I almost dropped my coffee!
