And being careless. If you live in an area where icing up like that is fairly regularly happening in the Winter, you should know you need to walk slower and more carefully, to keep from slipping and sliding, and you should know enough to deice your stairs/sidewalks/driveways before descending or ascending or even walking on them.

Years ago I worked on a house build in Vail, Co. It was a luxury holiday home for a West Coast lawyer - no expense spared. Because his driveway had quite a slope to it, he had under-slab heating installed - warm water piping back and forth, running off a frost stat.. No slippy driveway for him.
So sick & tired of seeing people falling off icy steps. It's only funny if you see it the first time. Then it quickly becomes repetitive & boring. Especially if you put like 20 such clips in the same video.
That snow and ice just reminded me of why I'm so thankful of the military stationing me in Southern AZ. I would rather it be 110°+.
I was at Loring from 1986 until it closed in 1993. I remember how darn COLD the flightline was in winter. Wind cutting through anything you wore and the windchill so cold it could freeze the moisture in your eyes... 🤣
Why don't people secure pool chairs, parasols, trampolines, etc. inside, when there is a typhoon forecast? I guess it's the same people that leave their cars to be destroyed in a flood zone.
Who knows? We had a high wind advisory the other day and the night before, I folded all the outdoor chairs and laid them flat and put sandbags on what couldn't lay flat. It only took 5 min and I didn't have to deal with any lost or damaged items.
