AU context!: Mira didn't get her gift but Camilo still had his. However, the family treats him like Bruno because they think his gift is not useful. So we get two perspectives with the same problem. Someone with a gift but is looked down upon and someone with out a gift who is also looked down upon. Here, Mira wishes she had a gift like camilo because she thinks it will solve her problem of being outcasted. But Camilo thinks if he didn't get a gift there wouldn't be as much pressure to outperform his gift to please everyone. In this moment, they are opening up about the reality of having what the other person wants. I hope this helps :)
