Ive done 3 solo trips to disney and loved each time I went. Setting your own pace and not having to discuss anything you do is unbelievably amazing. Highly recommend
We missed the virtual queues for Tron when we were there Thanksgiving week (i.e., tons of crowds). My husband wanted to ride it so late in the evening, 1-2 hours before park close, he just walked up to the ride and asked the cast members if they accept standby queue and he was able to ride it with a less than 10 minute wait. I love evening time in the parks - will take that over rope drop any time. And this was just a regular park day - no extended evening hours or party.
Aside from the character interaction, my kids used to love the water spitting camel and the jewels embedded in the ground in line for the Magic Carpets of Aladdin!
Former dermatology nurse - THANK YOU for the sunscreen shout out. So much better to use zinc-based lotion. BUT - for your teenagers, the best sunscreen is the one they're willing to use. And I'll be using the powder for my hair so I can use the ears. Hat would be better, but I really want to do the ears this time!
I was happy to see you recommend "solo trips" I've been to WDW 14 times -most with family but two of those on my own. I loved it so much I'm going again on my own in May 2024!!
@@StarViewer68 I like chicken bowl with sweet potato hash as base and creamy herb dressing as sauce. Also cheeseburger pods are good , not great but nice change . We usually split the two meals as there are 2 pods on a meal.
Our wedding song was A Whole New World! That rope drop trip on magic carpets is such a fun fact! Thanks so much! Worst case if they aren’t there, we can head to jungle cruise.
Mainly, you want fruit. This Disney wise woman used always to send herself an Edible Bouquet to her hotel room. That was before the pandemic, the inception of grocery delivery. You can't bring your own bananas, you probably don't want to pack apples, and Disney mainly supplies carbs with protein being a poor second.
re: ears I've bought some through Facebook groups from other Disney parks, or on eBay. I've got a few from Shanghai Disney! Way cheaper than those in the US.
Omg I love that Starbucks tip!! Why did I not think of this before?!? I always pay with my magic band but I obviously have my phone with the app on me anyway...
How will Disney genie+ work with no more selecting your park prior to the vacation? Will i be able to pick a lightning lane at magic kingdom and then Epcot after that?
I don’t leave in the evening so we don’t forget because by the time you’re done at the parks it’s already pretty late so it is to much of a hassle to do it at night. Plus there is getting home and then getting our luggage. We wouldn’t get home until way after midnight which is way to late for us to go to bed even if it is to get home earlier from our trip. We’d be sleeping most of the next day then anyways so it doesn’t make much of a difference.
Just a fyi!!!! We tried to get discounted tickets for the Magic Kingdom for 12/11/2023. To my surprise there were no discounted tickets!!!!! $169.00 per adult same price as the Disney website!!!!!
There usually isn't a lot of discounts on a one day one park ticket...and there never usually is a discount this close to Christmas.....usually discounts are hotel vacation package combos
Flame Tree completely ripped off a 30+ year Memphis BBQ tradition with those fries…except we use chips instead of fries. Come down to Memphis and you can have BBQ nachos every day of the week. I promise they’ll be a thousand times better than anything you can have in a Disney park.
Is Kroger the best grocery delivery option? I am contemplating doing this on our next trip but have never done grocery delivery and am trying to decide which one to use.
I did Instacart when we were there in June to get cough medicine (the one thing they don't seem to have onsite); it worked out pretty well. You have a small variety of places to choose from IIRC, I think I ended up going with Publix. edited: they dropped eveything off at the Beach Club Bell Services and I easily went down and picked it up.
We have used Garden Grocer twice - once in 2022 and once this year - pricey and a $15 delivery fee, but very pleased. They drop off your order at bell services and all you have to do is call bell services and they bring your order up. Never a problem with our orders either and great customer service.
Any speculation on what will happen with VQ once park reservations are not required for many people? More concerned about Guardians and not being able to grab one of everyone can get them if they have the possibility of going to the park. Personally being a late night person I would like to dump the 7:00 booking time but will be more frustrated if I get up and can’t get one.
My guess is they'll move to a geofenced VQ similar to the VQs for Disney Springs when they have them. Or maybe the VQs will only be available to join once you tap into the park - no more waking up early. Just guesses.
Love your videos! DFB made my 2022 trip so much easier! I'm here to ask: could you guys make a updated version of the 50 usd budget/day for food? I'll be coming back in may 2024 and that video saved me so much money, considering I'm flying from Brazil
Hey my friend. I am that old lady. Do you think we don't watch these videos? I am not a cranky old lady but a Wise Woman. We will appreciate your respect concerning things you can never truly know. The past has lessons you should learn from. Or take the short cut and learn from a wise woman.
Yep I'm a Wise Woman also and have been going to WDW since before the original MK park opened as my cousin was 1 of its first employees. They needed "test guests" and my boyfriend and I went every weekend for 3-4 weeks. It was wonderful! No crowds at all and every cast member was smiling all the time versus now when many of the cast members are old and tired. Sad but very great memories of a lifetime of living an hour from WDW. Thank you!

I've done it twice. It's great. Except, the waitresses always say things like, wow I think it's awesome you're solo, like it's rare. Lol 😅
same
I got to try this sometime.Sounds like fun!!

He was blessed. We were there yesterday and Tron was down most of the day.

Number one lesson I learned during the pandemic, with kids doing online classes and all, is that technology is great WHEN it works, IF it works.
Love solo trips to the park---so fun to do exactly what you want when you want.
I look forward to these videos every day. Thank you guys for bringing the most magical place to my home ❤
I love your videos. You are super funny and provide so much great info!! Thank you!
Love that I’m going to Disney in February and found your channel
sunscreen powder?! I've never even heard of that! Take a leaf from us in Oz - factor 50 lotion all the way!
I go solo all the time and, let me tell you, they are the most fulfilling trips at the end of the day.
It also might be a good video to show older tips and tricks that still work. Or for whatever reason have been rendered useless. Great for nostalgia.
Thanks for the info for AARP. I had no ideal.
The journey of water is great. My daughter and I did it last month on our trip.
Just back from a 10 day trip. Best eats? Satuli canteen and sleepy hollow.
What was good at Satuli Canteen? I’ve never been there, but I would like to eat there on my next trip.
Agree, I crave satuli canteen , love it .

Not sure why Aladdin carpet ride gets a bad wrap. I like it more than Dumbo. Flying over Adventure land the palm trees, I think it’s lovely
Studies show that people are more excited when anticipating their trip vs being on it!

Every time we come to Disney, I make sure to bring at least 2 cases of Dr Pepper with me! ❤️❤️❤️
the Starbuck hack. thank you.

how do they do the whole pulling a rabbit out of a hat thing I don't get it!
Extended evening hours for AK seems a bit of a waste if the safari and animal trails won't even be open.
Came here to say this ^^^^
speaking of sunscreen let it dry b4 y get wet or it will just wash off
I didn't know that there was even a powder or spray version of sunscreen lol
Can you go barefoot through parts of the Moana water experience to avoid soaking your shoes?
uhhh I wanna take a solo so bad 😂
Your audio decided not to cooperate with your magic carpets section. Right after talking about wonky technology 😂

What's going on with the audio?
She probably recorded that after with a different mic
Wow
have AJ get a pedicure and model her favorite foot friendly sandals for walking Disney!
Yet another video without mention of the removal of the harbor house lighthouse sandwich. For shame!

Moana's will be interesting. Water is my favorite liquid!
