Russia do not want all of Ukraine, just the important parts. East of the Dnipro for the gas reserves, Crimea and Odessa. They may want Moldova next, but they have been arming up from the west. This war gets interesting in December when the gas deal ends. Russia have an inflation issue, an emigration issue and very low unemployment 2.8% which means the economy cannot grow. Russia cannot afford to take on the West. Securing the land corridor in Ukraine will be seen as a win. In fact I think there’s a deal on the table, note that Ukraine have not used their long range missiles to knock out the bridge. There also something going on with the Russian elites, when you arrest the deputy defence minister it’s a big deal.

I understand when a journalist acts stupid, but strange when the Secretary of State for Defence does that.
1. Why would he need Poland, Lithuania or Romania when all the Poles and Romanians are in the UK, even they don't need Eastern Europe.
2. Russia went to war with Georgia in 2008 and won, why does Georgia still exist? Wheres USSR 2.0? It would be easier for them to go East, not West.
3. Russia spends trillions to support birth rate instead of bringing millions of refugees from war-torn 3 world countries.
I honestly don’t understand WHY you russians want to see a USSR 2.0… have you all forgotten how miserable you were back then? And you can never have USSR 2.0 anyway, not with all the thieving taking place by putin and the oligarchs. If Communism were implemented how could your country possibly have so many wealthy people at the top? They would have to stop their thieving - and they control the country now, they’re not going to give up their lucrative thieving.
You will never see USSR 2.0. But you do have a very advanced and repressive dictatorship in your country now, so that should make you quite happy.

Two errors in your post. I have time, so I’ll point them out.
(1) The weapons sent have NOT yet been “fronted”. Ukraine has excellent logistics chains, but in order to keep the russians guessing - they cannot be predictable. So it takes longer than a week or two to get everything to the front - in all part of the front engaged in active combat, at the very least.
(2) President Zelensky’s term would have been up this month, but because russia has invaded and not left Ukraine territory yet, the entire country is under martial law. And, according to the Ukraine constitution - there can be no national elections if the country is under martial law. So, it is the fault of the russians that Ukraine cannot hold another presidential election on time.
So, there you have it. I hope these answers were clear, the russians comment about the elections all the time, spreading lies that “Zelensky cancelled the elections” - he did not, the elections could not even be scheduled because of the constitution and the current state of martial law.
