I love these videos well thought out I have a question do you prefer analog CCTV cameras or IP cameras for me is analog easy to work with don’t need a laptop to configure them and you can put two cameras on one ethernet cable
I want a camera that can monitor outside but I am scared someone will steal it. Someone already stole my nice porch light. What do you think about a hidden or secret camera?
If you position the right camera in the right location, it can be very difficult to steal, and if done right you'll have video if who stole the camera. In 33 years of experience I have seen the camera stolen maybe 5 times, its not very common. But it should be a concern to address when designing a system and choosing the right camera. For example, the security camera SimplySafe offers is actually a magnet connection from the camera to the mount. Sooo easy to steal; just hit the camera with a broom handle and it will pop right off the mount into your hand. Equipment matters!
I have found some great cameras but they are not always compatible with some monitors. Sometimes I have to run it through a dvr first then connect to monitor. Today it is a crapshoot.
