As you probably have noticed there's quite a bit more audible wind noise compared to my usual recordings. I apologise for that. The Street Triple's sound is difficult to capture with my old backpack method because its exhaust is down low and thus very far away from my sound recorder. Plus, the seating position which is slightly bend forwards also exposes the backpack to more wind. This not so ideal result here actually motivated me to work on improving the sound recordings for my future RAWs. I've tried a new method for supersports (Fireblade, CBR600RR, XSR900GP, Daytona 660) and could improve the results significantly already. Your ears can look forward to these! And still, I'm experimenting even further with different bags and further wind noise protection. Stay tuned and please accept my apologies for this not so great sound recording of a truly great machine!
Imo the wind sound in this video is also adding the speed feeling a bit. nothing to worry about if you ask me... but i understand on other situations it might corrupt the audio. Great Video!
your luck between street triple 765 is kinda too unlucky last time it was a loose quick shifter i think and unfortunately your mic was unable to capture the amazing howl the ram air intake produces its addicting 🥵
But it’s very much what I may listen to on a good day astride this work of engineering artistry. Most great motorbikes have this. Nice, relatively safe driving as well.
The last point is the only reason I'll ever consider selling mine: if it has cost me my licence. The more you give it, the better it gets, its such an addicting machine ❤
I ride a MT-09 and i am completely in love with that bike, the engine, the feeling and the sound. I will drive my 09 till the engine breaks! But hell yeah i defo want an street triple rs in the future. That thing is mooooving holy crab! I know that my MT 3 cylinder engine is fast as fvck as well, but holyy that triumph is moving! It is fvcking insane how fast that bike is going out of corners, when ur giving full throttle..i have no words. I think i saw it somewhere in the comments before, but the pure sound of the engine under full throttle just wants to make you go faster and faster.. I love that 3 cylinder!!
I’ve just came back from a ride up the Grossglockner on the same model and colour as this Striple RS. I don’t consider myself a very fast rider but on this bike being so confidence inspiring, I managed to keep up with the locals on much bigger machines. What an experience! I’m definitely going up this mountain pass again.
I love the 3 cylinder engines. They are the perfect balance of torque, hp, smoothness and sound. Love your videos, makes me want to go out and ride every time.
I've got a '21 R. It's more than enough for me. It can keep up with pretty much anything on the road. Very agile, rock solid in corners and it really wants to turn. Engine sound is very nice, induction, exhaust and the whistle. If you keep the coolant lvl near the Max line and it's hot in a town, it's gonna take a piss when you trun it off. Panic time the 1st time it does it but checking the radiator level it's still full. The overflow tank needs to be right at the low level to avoid this. It's stable at all speeds. Quick shifter on my bike is a bit lumpy 5 & 6 gear on up shifts. Downshifter is very smooth if the revs are up a bit in all gears. Brakes are very good. All in all I really like it, love the look of her too. Comfort isn't terrible. Did 2000 miles over 9 days on her and it was OK. My old SV650 was noticeably more comfy over these kinds on distances but not so much fun in the Alps. Overtakes on the 765 are incredibly easy. Engine really gets going over 6K, then it pulls and pulls.
so basically this bike brings forth you inner speed demon ? Youre not too old buddy ! keep the videos coming ! and buy a Striple one day, mod it to be even crazier and sharper !
The street triple RS was the best bike for the road I've ever owned. Its abilities are everything one could ask for while riding somewhat spirited on the road. I now do own and ride its bigger sibling, a current speed triple RS, and though being a phenomal machine it does not quite match the playful, agile and easy nature of the streety. It is much more in every way, but sometimes a bit less even feels a little more.

I set up and use "rider" mode though - sport TC and ABS, rain engine mode. Plenty powerful there too, but a bit "delayed", smoother power delivery. I like it that way.

One of the best naked bikes ever made including the 675 engine versions. You will be delighted if U try the RS but with the 1050 engine (not the 1200), is less sharp but very good no matter what offer a stonkin power plant from low to mid rpm´s - grunt everywhere. Great video. Cheers.
Immernoch verliebt in meine 2009er streety.
This is the best idea… I started with a Strible. What do you want with 60-70 hp that gets boring after a year? This motorcycle grows with you and you don't have to keep buying something new.
I found your channel while browsing videos trying to figure out what was the perfect bike for me. Only today I stumbled upon the video about your 2017 incident. Turns out I had a similar experience with the same organ loss. You are an extremely talented youtuber but I can say that now I feel your ride experiences resonate even deeper. Let's try to keep having fun while driving as safe as possible! Bye!
You forgot about my mental health issues which are part of my life as well. I recommend not to judge someone's life quality by watching UA-cam videos. Thanks for the comment!
I absolutely adore this bike dude, but i have the same issue as your younger self. I don't have the money for it...yet. I'll stick to my MT-07 for now and we'll see about it in the near future i hope.
So the "Striple" is still not too sharp for Schaaf ... but it doesn't have to be so sharp and sporty all the time - I guess. And I get it: riding fast and having power is fun to have ... but riding long hours and cruising during holidays is a bit more stress relieving at the end.
One of my favourites. IMHO You say a mistake: you are old enough to sin with this Monster. If you have 25y first dont have enough money, second dont have enough brain haha.

You will be delighted if U try the RS but with the 1050 engine (not the 1200), is less sharp but very good no matter what offer a stonkin power plant from low to mid rpm´s - grunt everywhere.
Great video.
Cheers.
this one? ;)

@@Schaaf Yes.
I did not remember that video but I saw it again.
That 1050 engine is something special.
Cheers.
I had a 2012 1050 R, the one with the forged pvm wheels, and I still consider it one of the best bikes I have ridden.
@@valebliz Yes it is.
Nice , good riding .... but a 4 cylinder engine has the best scream for me .
thanks!
I´ve a 2017 rs and .....oh my god!!!!!
Nice!!!
just rode my streety R to work, now this amazing video, and after hours i'll ride this exact road home. perfect friday!
awesome!!
striple rs or the mt09sp?
whatever you prefer
love your videos, this bike is such a temptress
thanks!!
Immernoch verliebt in meine 2009er streety.
The timing, I've just been considering this bike for my first ever. Convinced me.
An 800cc 100+hp bike is not a good idea for a first ever one
This is the best idea…
I started with a Strible.
What do you want with 60-70 hp that gets boring after a year? This motorcycle grows with you and you don't have to keep buying something new.
You make the best music for me !!! Triples are the sweetest!
thanks!
Am Hart 👍
I found your channel while browsing videos trying to figure out what was the perfect bike for me. Only today I stumbled upon the video about your 2017 incident. Turns out I had a similar experience with the same organ loss. You are an extremely talented youtuber but I can say that now I feel your ride experiences resonate even deeper. Let's try to keep having fun while driving as safe as possible! Bye!
How would you compare it against the duke 890r? which one would you choose if you can keep only one? :)
Unpopular opinion: I feel like the street triple shines most when pushing hard it’s more of a track bike disguised as a street bike.
This bike really needs a steering damper
Man your life's a perfect dream for me either it's the motorcycle or the sceneries 👌🏻❤️
You forgot about my mental health issues which are part of my life as well. I recommend not to judge someone's life quality by watching UA-cam videos. Thanks for the comment!
@@Schaaf thanks for your generous and adequate reply man appreciate it❤️
Love from India 🇮🇳
Would you pick this over the new Ducati Monster?
I was just waiting for someone to tell me it’s okay 😊
I have this bike, and it gives you so much confidence. Like always Awesome video schaaf!
What do you recommend z900 or street triple r ?
Really exciting motorcycle. Excellent video quality, as always!
3:48 look at the curve. It's impressive
I absolutely adore this bike dude, but i have the same issue as your younger self. I don't have the money for it...yet. I'll stick to my MT-07 for now and we'll see about it in the near future i hope.
best of luck!!
I still love my 2022.
So the "Striple" is still not too sharp for Schaaf ... but it doesn't have to be so sharp and sporty all the time - I guess.
And I get it: riding fast and having power is fun to have ... but riding long hours and cruising during holidays is a bit more stress relieving at the end.
that's it!
One of my favourites. IMHO You say a mistake: you are old enough to sin with this Monster. If you have 25y first dont have enough money, second dont have enough brain haha.
I disagree
Compared to Moster SP, Duke 990 and MT 09 SP? Which one do you prefer? And why? Thanks and great vid as usual!
CB500 PC26
I'm sure the all mighty Flying Spaghetti Monster will forgive your sins :) Real shame but bikes be spensive :/
Thank the flying lord!!
Damn Triumph has got it down! Love that triple sound and feel. Have you ever tried the Tiger 1050?
yes, RAW coming this year!
