Just made these. They came out perfect! The thigh parts fit nicely as opposed to other patterns that left the thigh areas baggy! Thank you so much
It's a two row repeat... not every row begins with chain 5... the alternate row begins with a chain 3... I had to restart a couple of times to figure this out.
Yeh exactly
Wonderful tutorial! But I hope you could make a remake. And use light color yarn instead. The stitches are kinda hard to see esp if the color of yarn Is too dark. Thankyou! ❤
Hey hun can you make the top that match the shorts. The strip one in the pic. Thanks. Love, Peace,& Crochet. 💞
So....how do I join my sides when my rows ended on a ch2 space instead of the 3dc? I'm having a lot of issues trying to join my panels because of this and you made no mention of how to do this for those of us that have panels that end this way....
I'm currently having the same issue, did you ever find a way to do this?
Same issue
I've been looking for a pattern for this short style for ever!! So glad I found your tutorial. Thank you for making it so clear- can't wait to give it a go 😀
Following this turtorial, I realized you made a couple of mistakes. You stated to begin each row with ch5 but it should have actually alternate from beg ch5 then the next round you make beg with ch3 love. You should of stated that it is a two row repeat.
I began each row with a chain five and didn’t have any issues 🧐
@@ceciliamcclain5040 If it worked for you then that's great. I didn't like how my work was looking begining each row with ch5.
I naturally looked at the previous row and followed suit. No one is perfect but her shorts definitely came out amazing. And you now have shorts. Stop critiquing negatively.
Thanks for pointing that out!
Thanks for pointing this out I was so confused!
Thank you for making this great instructional video. Everything is so clear, you are an excellent teacher!
Might these are so cute.. I followed everything perfectly up until the join on the sides 🥺 I can’t seem to get it..
Same here
Right!! I’m like dang I wish I could find another tutorial for it lol
I cant get it either…somehow the same piece has wildly different sides? One side has 22 squares the other side 20 squares…i wish there was a written pattern too because its REALLY hard to see with black yarn
I didn't really watch the whole video before I started making my panels lol so what I did is I made the panels as big as I needed and then just used single crochet to join the panels at the sides. You can also take a thread and needle and join them that way. Really whatever works for you.
Please can you drop the link to the top... I can't find it.. Thank you 🙏❤...by the way, your works are so amazing.. Keep it up darling ❤

Thank you for making this video. I’ve been searching for the best pattern for these shorts and this one is it! My shorts came out perfectly.
I loved this video. Your way of explaning made it easy to follow. The only wish I have is that you would have made it in chapter sections. I'm watching via my phone and had a rough time rewind and watch back some things I might have missed. But my shorts are done now, took merely a day to make. Thank you so much for making this video.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I made my first pair and they come out bigger than expected. Also the from panel was bulky and the back fit perfectly did I do something wrong. I did get my measurements and did half my hips size but they still came out big in the front. Is there a way to make a smaller front panel than the back and still come out with shorts rhat fit?
Thank you soooo much… I have just finished my first shorts and they came out so well. Your instructions were on point. Was a bit confused with the joining but after watching a few more times I eventually got it. Can’t wait to try out something else. 🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️
i've tried multiple times to make these and every time i do my pannel always forms up into a Vshape instead of staying striaght across and i cannot figure out why. 😫 can you help me in what i may be doing wrong?
mine keep doing this too! i cant figure out how to make mine stay flat on the edge :,(
Hello! You're not doing anything wrong. You're increasing at the beginning and end of every row in your panel, so it will look like a V. That's okay. They should still fit well. If it bothers you a lot, you could block it and sort of force it to look a little more straight. Of course, I realize you commented this almost a year ago, but still 😂
@@gracelebron3536 this helped me so much because i thought i was doing something wrong lol
@@orbitallust happy to help
these are adorable and I love that you used a lightweight yarn, very excited to make this and can't wait for that top as well!! ♡♡♡

Thank you so much. I'll look into that
How do you make the string that goes through the waist? Love your work!
Thank you so much for taking time to explain it bit by bit ur blessed
im having touble with the joining part........
What size needle did you use. I made the exact same stitches as you and when I joined together it came out really big
I have the same issue too
2.5 mm hook with fingering weight yarn.
@@helendavid4906 2.5 mm hook using finger weight yarn.
I was keeping up until you said attach the other side. You went to the crotch after yarning off. That confused me but wonderful pattern I'm. Trying to make for my granddaughter. ❤
Love this pattern. Thank you very much for taking the time to share it with us. it has really inspired me. God bless
Very cute Jamaican colors
❤
How to measure the round fly again? Do you bring the tape measure up the back side ?
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial! Your accent is so pretty too, I like listening to your voice. 😊
Hey girl....does the yarn size/weight matter for example if I am using a big hook like of 5mm
Yes. The bigger the hook and yarn the larger you piece will be. If you use worsted weight with a 5.00 mm hook it will be very large. Unless you want plus sizes.
❤I love it. It is beautiful
Can I make a crochet trouser with this pattern?
Please I need answer urgently
How am I knowing this channel today? Keep it passion
Thank you so much Sheldon
thanks for the tutorial :) because of the yarn color it's little bit hard to follow with eyes but your explanation is so clear and make me understand in one time. 🤗
I like the way you describe the steps, thank you for sharing the design
Hi.. Need your help at the bottom part.. I got lost in there..🥺 I already connected both at the hip part..
So I’m in U.S. can I use sport weight yarn or worsted weight?
Would have love u to use different colors so can actually c what u doing more clearly. Or hold your work closer to d camera.thank u
Please can someone help out, I followed the instructions but my short still came out really big, what do I do
This is late but you might be using too big of a hook for your yarn
Did you use a 2.50 mm hook and fingering weight yarn?
I've been trying to figure out how to make this pattern
Beautiful but it was so frustrating and difficult to join the two parts together.. You should have used a lighter colour so we could see clearly😖😭😭😭
So very frustratinggggg... i abandoned it😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hello sorry about that. Will be working with brighter colors
You explanation is so detailed... I watched the video over and over again and i finally got it.. Thank you ma
I wanted to ask, how do we avoid having loose fittings at the thigh side... My hips and waist is okay but the thigh is so loosed.. i have reduced the circumference so well but it doesn't fit
Hi, thank you so much for the tutorial. I have shared it on my FB group. I hope you don't mind.
I would like to know what states are you in i live in ny york states

Hi. I was wondering if you had a video on how to do the shirt in the thumbnail
Can I make these a small size for an infant?
How many chains for the drawstring?
can you add more rows to make longer shorts?
So beautiful 🤩 hopefully you will have tutorial for the top too 🙏🙏
Did anyone else hear the rooster 💀
Please i wish to know how you did the top of the video cover picture.

Cariño activa la traducción de español por favor 🙏 gracias 😊 me encanta 😍 tú short y demás videos gracias 🙏 besitos y bendiciones gracias
The size u made is it for small n medium cause some of us don't ve tape measures
Small to medium.. Try to measure on your body while crocheting. Tape measure is important though, try get one
Thank u very much for getting back to me, u r a blessing may God reward u in abundance cheers
Joining the sides doesn't make any sense and you can't just watch because of the black yarn. My row ended on a ch2 sp so it's very confusing.
Joining the side is not so difficult
She only work in the gaps by doing 3dc in the gap of one side of the short and attach it with a slip stitch in the gap of the over side of the short
Its a zigzag process
Please how many yarn did you use
Love them I made me some too cute
Do you have a pattern for the top in the thumbnail as well?
Omg I've been measuring wrong 😫
I need help I'm not getting the joining at the sides
Ur the best amongst the tuitorials have watched
These shorts are gorgeous!!!
En Español x favor me encantan tus trabajos pero no puedo enterderte gracias
Its a long time i am looking for the pattern. You tought fine . Thanks a lot .
I’m not sure if it’s just me but I definitely got confused for beginning the rows. You’ve stated to chain 5 for each beginning of the row but you didn’t do it on one side. And mine seem uneven
Its true but its easy to understand
When you know that that you will have to start by doing the gap you do 5 chain because ( 3chain for the double crochet and 2 chain for the gap )
However the new row will not start with a gap !! It will start directly with 3 double crochet so you donot start with 5 chain but only 3 because you will have to do 2 double crochet next to it and not a gap which would have require 5 chain !!
I hope you understand 😅 im a mauritian so i speak mostly french and creol
@@lavalmelissa9167 You explained it well.
the top that is shown in yur thumbnail did you make that also and if so do you have a video for that ,only thee top in the thumbnail ? please its not the top you mention in this video it looks like the top in the thumbnail has sleeves.

Does the hook size matter?
Please reply☺❤
Oh yes it matters, your yarn will determine hook size you use.
I didn’t hear with size hook to use
2.50 mm
These are sooo cute!!! Can’t wait to make a pair!! Thank you!
