I will definitely be binge watching your videos. they are giving me courage to start putting my paintings out there. I'm normally so shy about showing any of my paintings that aren't or landscape or flowers. I have always wanted to do pet portraits and just painting different animals in general. I love animals but they are very intimidating to me. I also have always dreamed of making art as my full time job/ career. Now i feel like i have the courage to try it! Thank you for all that you share!
I've just started with acrylics and I am finding it hard to blend. Besides that, my brush's hair keeps shedding. Do you recommend a good mop for blending? Thanks! ♥️🤩
Camilla Martins hello Camilla, so I actually don’t really use mop brushes. I have some tips though for blending though. Use a spray bottle for you paint pallet to keep your paint wet. That helps you to mix colors, even directly on your canvas. And paint wet into wet. I tend to work fast which helps paint to stay wet while I blend it. Keep your brush clean also to prevent thick acrylic paint drying on your brush. Sometimes that can make blending very difficult. Lastly, use layers! I don’t blend as often as I add layers. And to add layers I work from dark to light. Starting with my dark colors first then I move to medium tones, then onto highlights. I hope this helps!
