I owned a Laguna. Had swivel bucket seats. Loved it!
Most of these are still seen in and around Alabama (including the Laguna based El Camino). Demons, 360's (340's mostly) were fairly popular in Central Alabama. As I responded to a post further down, I saw the prototype Mustang Sport Wagon (the blue one) at the Mustang Coral at Barber Motor Sports Park a few years back. I thought it was a personal project, but the owner produced verified paperwork, it was one of two (the other was red) build as a concept car. Amazing little wagon. I think the video poster should have used the term ..."You have probably never seen." lol There were a few 426 Hemi 66 and 67 Belvedere's running the old Capitol City Dragway in East Montgomery back in the early 70's. I would have thought California would have had many of these. :)
There will never be another era like THE MUSCLE ERA 👍😎

Other than that Mustang wagon and the Mangusta, I grew up around all of those...
Brian J. Schmidt the mustang wagon wasn't a production car....smells like....burning pants

Ford actually didn't build a mustang station wagon. 3rd party companies did "conversions" to make a wagon look like a 'stang. I guess some people wanted a mustang but had too many kids to fit into one.... And with a 2 barrel 289, it was NOT a muscle car.
Wife:we need a family car
Me:sees mustang station wagon
Star_killer _0815 + Exactly ! :D
I had a Chevelle station wagon with 350 short block in it. It wasn’t pristine but it turned heads.
if this is a FAMILY car , i dont wanna be part of this family
To bad it never made it out on concept stage

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I remember seeing and envying every one of these cars (with the exception of the Mustang Sport Wagon) Oh the days of glasspacks and L50s mounted on Cragar five spokes. (sigh)
N50-15's mounted on Keystone Klassics and Cragar Rallyes. WIth Cherry Bomb Glass Packs and Hurst Shifters. The "Good Ole Days".
Yeah. These kids buzzing around in their rice burners with 3 pound coffee can mufflers with the Mattel Varoom sound would shit their pants if they ever drive one of these.
@Gappie Al Kebabi whatever little Hitler mustache.😃
How can you forget something you've never seen? 🤔
You must not be as old as you look in that picture, lol I was born in 75 and I know all these cars except for the Mustang wagon o.O
@@kcmcgill5407 you misunderstood my comment. Think about it...
"forgetting something you've NEVER seen". ???
By the way, I am aware of all the cars shown AND I'm as old as I appear. 😊
@@tommyd.743 I did get it, I was only teasing lol
@@kcmcgill5407 👍
well, you know us old guys......
haha true
The DeTomaso Mangusta (Ghia)
Is freaking awesome looking!
This is my opinion, but the mustang looks kinda nice as a wagon. Especially in that shade of red.
Agree
@@joshuamorehead6124 I also agree 👍🏿
the more I looked at it,the more I liked it haha
I think it looks better than it does otherwise
Wagons where the sh!t. A lot of the station wagons back in the day could be easily converted to muscle wagons. There was an equivalent in each make. A Montego wagon could have the front end swapped with a cyclone. To look and have to power of the muscle of course with the added weight. 🤪
I’ve been a big mustang fan my whole life. When I was a teenager I was fully against the idea of a mustang wagon. Now that I’ve owned a few, and have gotten much older I think it would be terry cool. Drive a mustang, but still have room to haul smaller things. Sounds good to me. I’m also into hearses. Perhaps a Mustang hearse?? 🤔
Ben Brines A Murse. Isn’t that a man purse. Just joking. Check out the YT video of the Mustero - Mustang pick up truck!
Love it there was a few I remember but damn that'll make you a kid again great video
Tim Glover + Thank you, we appreciate it :)
How can you forget something you've never seen?
By being told about it. I was told about the mustang wagon, but forgot about it. This is the first time seeing it.
the wagon was never forgotten because it was never a production car
Still waiting for the 8 cars I haven't seen before.
Errrr.... I absolutely guarantee you've never seen a/the Ferrari "Breadvan". How about a Gilbern GT, Vauxhall Wyvern, Riley RM/E, Goggomobil, AC Greyhound OR an AMC Gremlin? Ooooh! Don't forget any Simmbughini.....
@@forandonbehalfof4753 If those had been in the video instead of the ones "featured" the title would have been much more realistic.
@@chrisbaker2903 - Yep. I know. I only included the Wyvern, GoggomobilGremin and RM/E as a challenge because no-one could ever accuse those of being proper "muscle cars".
I even owned a 2door Range Rover V8 which (technically) fits the "muscle car" specs....
And I have a rare stock vehicle likely not pictured anywhere online:
'77 Pontiac Astre FORMULA Safari Station Wagon...
The one and ONLY mustang wagon I've ever seen ! Good looking car !
Wow ! Different! Also gorgeous cars ! In video.😀
The Talladega Torino had 429 Super Cobra Jet engine. Rated by Ford 370 hp, actual Hp 400. Shelby 500 had 428 Super Cobra Jet engine. Ford listed 335 hp actual 400 hp
Piece of crap fords, that what low life overpaid police officers drive. Garbage cars.chevy is the heartbeat of america.police officers go get your entitlements.
Race for pinks.
That's how you settle matters of opinion. Then, which car gets to the finish line first? What's the course? And who is the driver?
Can you risk it? I've seen some races won I wouldn't have expected to turn out that way. The rest walk away rather than risk the loss.
Rick bet 69 Torino that Ford put out for the NASCAR that had the Boss 429 unit out of the 69 Boss 429 that was 600 horsepower they tune down those engines the manufacturers did to the 450 horse and under so that they didn't have to spend buku some money on warranty's from that 600 horse eating stuff up. Check it out and see Google Copo Copo cars want Factory built special experimental cars the Copo was a bill form that you could if you knew about you could turn in and they would build that 600 horsepower engine and be at the Chevelle the Boss 429 whatever and you could get the car that the manufacturers originally built otherwise the public got turned down engines. Manufacturers worried about those warnings which ain't you think about it they would have paid out a lot of money you know on warranties if they turn those 600 horsepower loose end is out on the street.
@@matthesson6588 how old are you?
It's one thing to be ignorant and another to expound anyway.
What did you think they drove and when?
I have never thought I'd see a Mustang station wagon.
I have never seen one! I like it !
Poor English. You should have paid attention during English class.
FUCK You
me too and to be honest its was waste or time (shape of the station wagon from. the sides and back)
Its a custom Ford never made one
Mustang wagon rocks. With some oomph of course (like a nice Boss 302!). Love it.
To me, those were never forgotten. I grew up driving or driving against most of those cars.
mustang wagon was never made as a production car it was a one off build
It was a kit and they made many of them. Nothing to see here.
+Robby Gee
agree it was made & i have proof in 2 old Hot Rod magazines from the late 60s
as a production car it was never released as a production car a total of two were made and it was never release for sale. there are tons that made kit car form but not by ford as a production car.
" The only wagon Mustang built for sure is the one made by Intermeccanica
back in 1965. They built it for advertiser Barney Clark. That wagon was
exposed in some books and “Car and Driver” magazine’s 1966 cover. "
direct copy from a research article into the mustang wagon myth from research hemmings did on the myth
the one that everyone always sees photos of the most was built in 1978 by Jeff Pearce and he still owns it as of last time i knew and saw him with it was in 2010
Dave Bar 100% correct. (I'm a 50yr veteran of the BodyShop biz)
Dave Bar very few know about that,I saw the blue one in a Facebook post a couple years ago and someone posted a link to the magazine article in the comments.
that mustang wagon remind me of the Callaway corvette wagons, super cool
Seen more vet wagons
At first I thought the pic of the mustang wagon is just a Photoshop. But when I watched the vid, I was TOTALLY BLOWNED AWAY. Just a regular station wagon- dad says
That Mus To Wagon is cool!
I'd understand this if you're from outside the USA, younger than 25 and you're JDM boy racer but these are Not "Never before seen". The Mustang wagon is RARE because only 5 were built by FORD and only 2 Original factory examples are known to be left. There was a company back in the 70' that specialized in converting many Vette's, Camaro's, Firebird's and Mustang notchbacks into those wagons but those are still around and aren't that rare. I think the same company or one of it's original investors has begun to do this to the newer generation of Vette's, Camaro's and some late model Firebird's again.
@DjJtown Congrats for leaving the most sensible (and correct) comment on here!
DjJtown how do u know all of this
Jase Wortley I saw the blue one a couple years ago in a Facebook post and someone posted a link to the magazine article in the comments
3:55 so that's the original Dodge Demon? Wow
Yes it was.....came out im 73/74 model year
You that that the new dodge demon was all made up in 2016??
it was renamed the dodge dart gts for 75 because of complaints from religious groups as the legend goes.
I've owned 2 Chevy Laguna's both when I was a teenager in the 80's. My first was a 1973 and my 2nd was a 1974. I'd love to have either one of them in my garage today parked next to my 2015 RT ScatPack Challenger. Honestly there are several muscle cars I owned in my teens and 20's I'd like to have back lol.
Very beautiful amazing looking cars perfect colours thanks friend
Thank you Keith ! :)
Laguna...OOPS! That guy drove his Ventura like my Grandma drove her Chevy II
"OH MY GOD" !!! 😥 Please sir may I have some more?
Impressive
Jarek Cimrman + Thanks! :)
The first one I´ll never forget, because I had it like Matchbox car named "Vantastic" :-)
Could have bought a buddy’s Cyclone GT for 10k 15 years ago, instead I bought his 442, kick myself in the teeth for not seeing how rare this car was at the time.
I'd give my wife for a Cyclone!
Even tho I'm a Chevy guy, I always liked the Demon & Challenger's!! So much I bought a 2016 Challenger R/T Shaker plus!😁😎
That DeTomaso is really a thing of beauty!
Mick D + agree, and DeTomaso Pantera too :)
You are Rock'n these COOL cars Daddy-O
I've seen them all before
that mustang wagon was sick and thats comimg from a chevy man
The Mustang Wagon was built by Ron Egbert of Cincinnati, Ohio. Ron built 2 of these, the one you see here and one he still drives. The other wagon has a 390 FE with a 871 blower and a inline four barrel. The other wagon is also tubbed with a four speed manual. His sons Matt and Mark have also made wagons, a 1977 mustang II and a 1987 mustang. The funnest times was using the wagon as a daily driver when our street cars were down.
I love the triple a sticker on the chrome bumper (1:35). Reminds me of granny's chevy. I would love to have that car today.
for real, I would love to have a 6mt 5.0 V8 mustang wagon.
I've seen a Chevrolet Laguna once before
Heck I saw one the other day!
It's a 2nd gen Monty
Michael Gentry I've seen a Renault Laguna before....
There was a Laguna S3, took the place of the SS
I actually owned a Laguna S-3. It's the same body as the 1974 Pontiac LeMans.
Ive already heard of all these. XD Still nice cars.
Great cars!
I'm actually old enough,I have seen almost all of these cars
Prince Magnum Boi I’m only 16 and I’ve seen all these cars personally
Mustang station wagons are all conversions, Ford never prototyped or produced any.
They actually DID build about a half-dozen, before deciding to offer sportier packages for the Falcon.
You see something similar in the '90s with Mustang losing the rear hatch, and the Ford compacts getting a bit more horsepower. The one shown is, I think, one of two '69 models left. There's a Mustang II wgon someplace, too.
That's what I thought!!!
That is what I was thinking.
That's right. The Mustangs were made only in hardtop and convertible bodyworks from 1964 until present. Thery were not conceiived to be sold as wagons.
@@henryrodgers7386 The car in the video is a '68
I had a 74 GTO. I loved that car. Husband made me trade it on for a truck.
oh god, I remember when my dad bought a gto wagon, that was in 2003 and it was and still is his daily.
The most beautiful wagon I've ever seen
Erik Soza beaituful but slow.
no, shhh shut up. pls no
You haven't seen that many wagons then.
Erik Soza and
Cts-v wagon. King of all grocery getters!
maybe "you've" never seen these cars...some of us have been around long enough to have seen them, or at least seen them in pics.
... or overtaken the one or other by times ... 😂😂😂
Man, that Talladega looks and sounds quite threatening to say the least. I built a model kit of one when I was a kid and painted it black. That was one of my favorites.
Yes! The 1969 Ford Sportsroofs are awesome
My favorite is the 69 Fairlane 500 Sportsroof
IF I BUILT A 350 AND IT ONLY PUT OUT 200 HP. I WOULD HANG UP MY TOOLS AND OPEN A LEMONAID STAND
LMAO
that was mid 70's engine, after unleaded, and environmental clean air craps on the cars
OK now where are the cars never seen? A click bait tittle.
Most people dont know abouy these cars
@@saab35draken39 Maybe young people whom have never owned or worked on a car of that era.
Hm nice. Only knew abou the Cyclone and Belvedere and im a BIG muscle fan.
Some great cars
The laguna isnt really forgotten its just isnt well liked. Same thing with the demon and belvedere.
Actually the Demon/Duster series were very well liked. Not everyone could afford the Chargers, Chevelles, Camaros or Shelby Mustangs so people bought the cheaper cars like the Demons. They were a lot less expensive, not bad looking and still went pretty good ... besides once you blew up the 340or 318 that came with them it was easy to drop in a 383 or 440.
belvedere is actually nice car, its uglier in pictures tha nin real life
your wrong the demon and belvedere are still one of the most common muscle cars out there and there still some what affordable
At first, I thought this was cool like the Vega Kamback wagon, but after thought, Ford was right to short the release of this as it would have killed the brand and the spirit of the Mustang. At the time if you wanted a small wagon you could have just bought the Comet or Falcon wagon.
Ford never produced a Mustang station wagon, ever. They are customized by owners.
Joe Foster 2 were built in Italy by a company working with a guy at ford named Barney something.but the idea died and they were never built.
Yep or a GM Opel from Germany they had a GT, sedan , coupe, wagon or you could get an English ford
The DeTomaso will never be forgotten!! I remember seeing many of these cars tearing up the roads back in the early 80's. Except for that Mustang wagon. That was a total abomination. A Prelude to the disgraced Pinto.
The Mercury Cyclone is my favorite, I like the front "looks like a mean face" and I like the color yellow when it comes to muscle cars
Friend of mine had a blue one. Used to go to the local airport and buy $10 worth of airplane fuel then head to the quarter mile strip! What a blast!!!!
A friend of mine has a red cyclone with white learher interior in his grandpa's basement. His grandpa used to tame us riding in it but it Had less than 20,000 miles on it.
I'm not a Ford guy but that mustang wagon is badass
its ok, ford never made it they are all custom
That DeTomaso *looks* like it was meant to rival the Ford GT.
exactly what i thought too
All DeTomasso cars are built using Ford power train
De Tomaso's, the early cars had 302's, later Clevelands in the Panteras. Yep.
That station wagon lid upon a mustang body looked nicer than I'd of thought. Much different touch
I've seen so many Lugans smashed in figure 8 racing. The front ends are really think rubber and steal the held up really well plus they handle well.
Mustang NEVER made a wagon it was an afterthought.
@Stephen Myres i stand corrected
What about the amc or amx javelin
Very cool cars and also very collectable!!!
Never seen a Mustang Station Wagon, but boooi I am speechless...
A 454 making 235 hp...
Ahh, the 70's.
You right bubba!
I followed your discussions about horsepower, torque and engine sizes:I live in Europe and I know more about American cars and classic Italian vehicles than most people here. I am one of the few who loves both: American classics and Italian sport cars. In our family we owned both: Classic Maseratis and Alfa Romeos as well as good old GM bigblocks. It is really weird: People who love Italian classics laugh at Detroit cars and vice versa.I really love both kind of cars.Talking about engine size. Italians were incredibly talented in making even small engines extremely powerfullAmerican cars on the other hand were heavy, comfortable and reliable. I did start my old Chevy after sitting for 7 years. It would fire right up and purr. Our 1967 Alfa Romeo on the other hand is a wonderfull and delicate machine. A pleasure to drive, but you must really take care of it until the engine is hot: To compare these cars is like comparing a heavy working horse to a delicate racing horse.American engines were meant to last forever. While European sports cars were meant to be driven hard on curvy roads. Race cars for private use so to speak. The Italian sport car would win any race on a curyy road. But as a reliable long distance runner I would surely prefer an American classic.A muscle car will accelarate right away, there is no need to turn the engine up high.I have a friend who is specialised in powerfull cars. American and Italian. He told me. The really "evil" american big block cars he owned would defeat his Lambos, Ferraris and Maseratis in an accelleration race.We are speaking of cars from the sixties and early seventies.Even with my small sports Fiats I owned as a teenager you could race like crazy: 1l engine and 70 hp may sound ridiculous. But on a curvy road I could easily defeat cars with double thee engine size and double the horsepower:People forget the importance of weight, brakes and suspension. An American muscle car is heavy and needs tons of torque and is not meant to be raced on narrow mountain roads.
what the hell are american muscle doing in Europe. can you even drive them because the city are so crowded? also they were meant for american roads send those puppies on back to there home land.
You have no idea how many classic US cars are there in Switzerland alone. Sometimes there are 700 classics in one meet alone. The chance of seeing an American classic car on a road trip is much higher here in Switzerland than in the USA.For decades GM and Chrysler had assembly lines in Switzerland. In front of our house for instance were a red and a green 1971 Dodge Satellite parked beside each other. My dad worked at the biggest GM garage in Switzerland. The body shop was crowded with Corvettes and lots of muscle cars.We used to ride in really tuned up Firebirds of the early seventies. But to be honest: In our family our family we are actually most of all lovers of fullsize Chevies and Pontiacs. I actually own 4 of them.American cars are most of all long distance cruisers. No need to drive them topspeed all the time. For twenty years we used to drive on vacation to Italy in our american cars. The Autostrada del Sole is nearly lazer straight for over a hundred miles. Just beside this highway there are the Maserati and Ferrari plants. I remember following a Ferrari with the testplate "MO Prova 1".I had a hard time following the car: As you can imagine, the testdriver did not care a bit about any speed limits. When I was young we did not have and speedlimit on the highways yet. And the roads were much less crowded than they are today. Many People with super strong sports cars are making a trip to Germany. There are still many highways there that do not have speedlimits at all. It is common there that you are passed by a car running well over 160 miles per hour. To reach Germany from my home it hardly takes one hour. I remember when I was a very little boy : My 22 year old mum rode over 200 km per hour on a main road in a 1958 Maserati: No speedlimits yet!Unfortunately this freedom has passed forever. The roads of today are really getting crowded here. And the cost for gas her is crazy: 6$ a gallon! The normal way of US cars crossing the Atlantic goes East and not West.Me and my friends alone imported at least 6 cars from America to Switzerland only within the last 4 years.
thank you that was awesome!!
Great sharing story! Thanks!
@@beatglauser9444 Yep, I still remember those days when German highways had no speed limit. Once my father came home, out of the blue because he was a American car lover, with a Fiat Dino Ferrari. I didn't know what I saw (for the main reason I knew very well he didn't like fast cars). At first sight, for me (I was 19 at the time) this car was not for him. So, I asked him, "why did you buy that, you will never drive it ?" Then I knew, he bought it for me. So this car was a 2,4 liter version and look very much like a Audi 100 Coupe. The Audi was brand new at the time, the Dino was not. When he arrived it was already 2 am in the morning and he insist he wanted me to drive the thing because he wanted to see if I could drive it responsibly. Well, then he had another thing coming haha.
We had to go to a wide road, at least 4 km long with no side roads and I knew just the place. He was driving. He shifted the gears like an old man and he was going 60 km/hour in gear four. I told him, he was going to kill the car. The 2,4 liter was a 6 cilinder but Italian so that means very high RPM (I believe he allowed 7000 rpm).
Mt dad didn't like the remark and he was kinda frustrated and said YOU drive then, show me.... I can tell you, he didn't need to tell me twice. At the end of the road, we switched places and then I said, "Let me show you WHAT your really bought. I estimated that the car needed at least 500 meter to stop if you go all the way so I knew exactly where to stop pushing it.
By the time I almost reached the end again I got the car all the way up to 240 km / hour... I felt it was the max because the car start to sway a bit. There were no spoilers, so nothing to help keep the car on the road by this high speed. I had to be careful because I reached the last 500 meter. I had a real hard time to make him stop because 240 was actually too fast for the car, at least, in his condition. My father came out and didn't speak a word for 3 days,... but, it was worth it, yeehaaa.
Later I got challenged by BMW and others because the car look so similar like the Audi 100 Coupe and that was their mistake, I run them all out. I had a lot of fun with the car.
Later I found out that I was fast but not the fast enough. I was driving on the highway and in my rear view mirror I saw the same car showing up. That is, he LOOKED the same. He came next to me and made the hand sign "let's GO for it" so we did. I was run out by hundreds of meters and he asked me to follow him to a parking lot. I was already very amazed to see the back side of the car, that didn't look at all like mine, so what WAS that ? On the parking lot he showed me the car and guess what, It was a De Tomaso Mangusta. So of course I lost.... but then when you take a look at both fronts of the cars, they look the same.
Of course we became friends, but,... we never "raced" again. Besides that, when I reached 220 km/hour, I had to let him go because the Dino didn't behave like it should be,... so from that moment on, I kept it under 200 km. Maybe it's why I'm still alive ?
Later we found a owner of a Audi 100 Coupe and as I told you already, he almost look the same as the Dino. The "mistakes" that others made were very understandable, they really look alike (from some distance). About the De Tomaso I can say only one thing, he was beatable starting from 0 to 100. After that, It was bye bye.... Could be the drivers fault, I will never know. He didn't allow me to drive it.
When i came to my dad,... a few moths later he bought the Chevrolet Impala Custom 1972, you know, the 2 doors version with the "wrong" bend in the rear window. Nice car, but not really for me. I kept the Dino haha.
It was 2 years later I changed my mind when he wanted to sell the Chevy (he switched it for a Mercedes diesel because gas prices TRIPLED at the time). I got it as a wedding gift and was really happy with it. Sold the Dino,... I was not able to keep it because no space to put it. I'm still sorry that I did that.
Anyway, since the gas prices got me too, we ALL became diesel engine lovers and we ALL still are.
Maybe it's just my age but I remember seeing several of these on the road
It's an amazing achievement to get such small amounts of power from such huge engines. The Aston Martin DB4 series had a 3.7L straight-6 which made 240hp & that was in the late 50's early 60's!
Did you not listen to the horsepower numbers of the pre-seventies American cars? The governments killed horsepower in the early seventies. Horsepower went from the high 300s and lower 400s to the 200s. Many engines were underrated because of insurance numbers and to get them in a different drag class. The 340 was rated at 275 but hotrod magazine estimated them at close to 350. Same with the Z28 chevy and many more. The 289 HP mustang was rated at 271 hp from a 289 cu. in. motor that is almost 1 hp per cu in from a naturally aspired motor, not bad for the mid sixties.
My 2014 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Manual Transmission, has 300 HP to the front wheels, and it’s normally aspirated at 3.5 liters
'71 was the last real model year of the muscle cars era
The Mustang is the most gorgeous of them all. How many of that kind were built? I think if redesigned to today's standards that car would be a major hit.
This did not age well buddy 😅
It was never built by ford
The closest thing look wise is gonna be the new mustang EV
Since I owned a Talledega new in 1969, I speak with some knowledge. It was an awesome car!. It had a LOT more than 335hp. They were grossly underated to keep insurance rates in check. The 428 CJ they all came with made about 400hp and up. Mine had a nasty cam and 2-4's and was badder still. They came from the factory with a 180mph speedo. Mine was clocked at 162mph and was still going. Kept up dead even with 69' Z-28 Camaros that were stock all through the quarter. High 13's.
Luv the old cars
Son guapisimos este tipo de coches me encantan
The Laguna looks like a Malibu
The Laguna was body was shared inpart with the Malibu. The major difference was that the Laguna was perf oriented instead of luxury oriented i.e. firmer ride, taller gearing lighter, larger displacement/higher horsepower engine options.
The Laguna is nothing more than a stock Malibu with a few added trim pieces, bucket seats and sporty paint package.
With tne exception of the Mustang Wagon-that-Never-was, and the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II, I remember every one of these cars... Your videos kinda' suck, people. Maybe if your titles weren't quite so Clickbait-ish, I'd be less down your stuff!
I totally agree. But the Mustang wagon was an really rare kit for the Mustang
It wasn't a kit - it was a conversion done by an Italian car company - they did less than 200 I think. It required unibody stbilization Also, I am wondering how many caught that the DeTamoso was not a Pantera - I think it was a Mongoosta.
I've owned 2 of these cars and worked on/ driven all the others except the Mustang Wagon and the De Tamoso. A Pantera I have actually worked on and driven, had a 351 Cleveland in it with a 4-Speed and was Pepto Bismal Pink. Ugliest car I've ever seen.
Christopher Terry you're close, only 2 made.there's a blue one too. There's an old hot rod magazine article about it.
It is a Mongoosta.
My sweet little mum had a 65 Plymouth Belvedere. She drove it daily. So fun thanks for reminding me that memory was still upstairs 😊

Non of those cars have been forgotten, and thank goodness there was never a Mustang station wagon ever built. Not by Ford anyway.
yes ford did actually build a limited number of mustang station wagons they built it to compete with the chevelle station wagon
mangusta is so nice :D
I've wanted that Mangusta since that early 90's movie about the drug runners. It was a yellow one and I _hated_ yellow cars until I saw that thing! That car also lead me to the Pantera GT5s (another dream car of mine).
Seen them all before damn where have you been?
Who made this vid cause there are only two cars on here that I've never seen.
AUGH-AUGH-AUGH! 😍
I had a Plymouth Belvedere, a '66. It was a sedan with a 318, 2 barrel carb, so not much like the one shown here, but was a nice daily driver that I'd run occasionally in ET bracket races at National Trail Raceway..
Compared to older cars all the new cars look like sloppy, cheap piles of plastic Shit. Oh.... wait that's because they ARE!
Have you owned a vehicle from that age? Even brand new body panels didn't fit properly, gaps were all over the place, parts were loose and rickety, they shook, rattled, and in many cases were a fucking nightmare to keep running as weather changed.
User Name but they last decades.
VampiressRukia no,they are just computers with wheals
Andrew Bartleman not really. The examples you see today have had exemplary care taken to make them stay fresh. Otherwise they rusted to nothing and rarely made it past 100k miles.
Car engines have always been computers. Now we just have the advantage of them being electronic computers over mechanical computers. It's 10000 times easier to diagnose, repair, and maintain a modern vehicle. The OBD2 port allows diagnosis methods to be preformed instantly and remotely without having to chase wiring or ticks.
There is no real argument that classic vehicles were mechanically superior. In fact in almost every single aspect they fall far behind modern options with exception to possibly looks, and that's subjective.
"(N)ightmare to keep running as the weather changed" ??? WRONG! I'll agree that the ancient points-ignition-systems could be a serious pain in the butt. However, it NEVER cost $1200 for a tune-up or $700 for an engine sensor either. You can keep your stupid computer controls. I'll keep my '73 Chevy K-10 !
Not one of those cars were stock
Raymond Eldridge first one is
Raymond Eldridge and the third one is
Raymond Eldridge and the fourth one is
And the fifth one is
And the seventh one is
I actually scooped up a 1974 Pontiac ventura with a 455 Oldsmobile engine in it. It had 15,000miles on the engine with all the paperwork for 5k. I've loved it ever since! And I've noticed where I live there's only one other one!
Now that's a good looking wagon
The specs on that Talledega were bullshit. My Talledega had a 180mph speedo and I personally took it up to 160 before getting chicken and letting up!
correct
The specs on all the cars were BS
The Talledega had a stretched nose with a downward slant... very distinctive... Worked with a guy that had one... would do 400 foot burn outs,... had big horsepower, all stock!
Great cars from the Pre-Open border days of the USA
Honestly typing...i don't recall ever seeing da Ford Mustang station wagon! Love it! But i had a red Firebird 1969...
Givng them their due, the cars of the muscle car era were beautiful. But by modern standards their performance is on par with a good family sedan today. My stock Accord would take most of them in a 1/4 mile and out top end them too. Nostalgia warps our perceptions.
