Beautiful. Is this going to be a display or be for a racing competition? My Dad used to be an Unlimited hydroplane driver for Miss Budweiser. He won the World Cup 3 years in a row…Bill Sterett, Owensboro KY. Your job is beautiful.
Yes, it has raced 3 weekends. It is a great boat. We just hosted the Columbia cup in Tri-Cities. We our honored to know some of the current unlimited drivers. So to know what your dad has accomplished is amazing. Does your family still race?
@@Douglas.A.Young.Realtor Thank you for asking but my Dad died in the boat accident and my brother who raced the Norte Dame was killed in the boat. Tragically both are gone.
Slick surface on the bottom of the boat will slow you down. You want a rough surface as it traps air bubbles and you get more lift which equals to less boat in the water which equals more speed. Slicking the boat and or waxing the bottom smooth is a bad idea.
Proud moment to see this thing hit the water!! Julian is a lucky man 🙌
I love the banana shot.
So cool
Right!? This project was a fun one🔥 For another crazy project we did, check this out 👉 ua-cam.com/video/MDrSE_A_pSo/v-deo.html

Seriously? Even on the bottom of a boat you do a matte finish? It’s just wrong. Do you not have a high gloss urethane?

Matte beads up more then gloss.
We did a high gloss urethane on the top of the boat. Which holds up amazing!
