Maybe its me but this is my least favourite arc after the Kuma backstpry chapters. This was the fist time I stopped readimg one piece. Everything sounded too cliche and thats why I always loved Oda's work. It was not cliche. Idk, thats how it feels for me right now. Definitely my last arc to read.
some missed an important part on first panel, one of the giants said "so it was as the news said". meaning dorry and brogy knew that straw hats are having confrontation with the marines/wg so they immediately go to rescue straw hats. and in addition, the extra news that was released was having luffy's bounty poster being the image of nika, and the giants have knowledge about nika, they worships the sun god as depicted wayback from the flashback of bigmom during her tenure in elbaf.
Ohara missed all that completely. I also thought that the giants probably knew because of the wanted poster. The gorosei made it very clear that they didn't want that to be published.

The giants met Sun God nika, joy boy was a gaint. Joyboy was able to unlock Sun God nika. That's why the giants was waiting for him back. Besides the giants have a long long time to grow. They are probably babies when joyboy was around.
The speed with which Luffy went from drained and ancient to bloated to recovered to Nika is mind blowing. Let's consider this......he falls, drained, food appears a couple seconds later, within a minute he's eaten in, digested it, transformed, and decked Kizaru again. Unless I'm way off on timing. But I can't see more than a couple minutes passing since Luffy ran out of steam. Doesn't have to be Evil Shanks. Just had to be Shanks deciding he finally had a worthy adversary and coming to claim what he needs. Roger vs Whitebeard as an example. Remember, Whitebeard was a full generation older than Shanks. Every single step has had a Roger pirate to overcome. Buggy, Crocus, Reighly. Ideals, Intention, Determination. Would only make sense Shanks becoming a hurdle. He'd obviously be the synthesis of these. A final Roger before Laugh Tale. That or his presence would mirror Reighly.

Everyone also has to consider the fact that literally every ally of Nika gets a huge boost from him just being there, while the enemies get demoralized. And seeing the marine fold up like a carpet is going to also positively affect morale. Not to mention the Pacifistas. Regeneration or not, that old man is up against a huge shitstorm. Him and Kizaru might not be enough.

Plenty can happen on Elbaf. The Adam tree is there so we can see/learn more about the Adam and Eve trees, obviously Saul and Robin reunion, Usopp becoming a brave warrior, Loki reveal/info, giants history/lore, could become a solid stronghold for the strawhats after the defeat of Saturn to protect them from the gods knights and other gorosei, Shanks info, find out what happened with mother Caramel and Big Mom, potentially God Valley info since most of the giants on Elbaf are plenty old enough to know about it, possible Buccaneer info since the races seem to be related in some way, etc.. Elbaf would be FULL of information about both the world as it is now, and as it was in the not so distant past, as well as many mysterious characters we've known nothing about until now. Not to mention THE ENTIRE LIBRARY OF OHARA IS THERE.
The movie Red, made me believe that Shanks is a good guy especially in relation to Luffy. He knew about the story of Nika, joyboy, and etc., and will be there to protect Luffy because he knew that he can change the future
I think that the reason Vegapunk didn't tell her sooner is 1) she hated him until not too long ago, and 2) would make her a much bigger target to the marines, something he didn't want. It's a possibility that now that her powers might be restored, Bonney might be the one to take on Saturn, given she's probably not as strong as Luffy, she might be strong enough to fight Saturn with the Pacifistas backing her up.

The appearance of the giants really took me by surprise and I had to go back to the end of Wano to see if we missed something about Shanks maybe telling them to fetch Luffy. The first thing that I noticed that i think a lot of people forget is that Perona help Cobby to escape and request him to free Moria and it's easily fogetable because it's just one case. The second is before destroying Kid, Shanks was really motivate to make his move against Blackbeard. I wonder if the red haired crew will stumble on Bepo and Law and at the same time learn about the giant beiing with the strawhat. I could really see a reunion happening on Elbaf with Law having the D. too now. Another point is about what we know about what will happend on Egghead, the narrator state that the following day what happend here will shock the world. I wouldn't be surprise as when the conflict come to its end Morgan is up in the air having the time of his life with such a story. Because if he's not there I doubt that the marine/the world governement will talk about it at best a mention of Luffy surviving for the second time a buster call and be blame for the destruction of another government facility. It will be more shocking for the world if they learn that Marine ships were destroyed by giants from Elbaf, helping the emperor crew fleeing, an picture of an admiral defeated or the front page being an huge robot facing of a member of the gorosei looking like a real demon.. Lastly there is everything surrounding the man marked by flames. I strongly believed it was Jaguar but upon re-read it's evident that Robin best friend is hidding on Elbaf. Oda is not doing something by mistake I believe he mislead us for a long time now especially about the God valley incident. Because so far in the story we saw every death, and most of people who we thought weren't kinda like Momo grand father. Like Luffy doesn't kill (at least making sure his opponent is dead but more so defeated), I think he learned this trait from Garp and as we think he might also be some kinda of Roger reincarnation I believe he share this trait too. It's still highly possible for Xebec to be alive as a lurking shadow, behind the scene, always on the move to avoid attention. When we look at jolly roger all of them defined a special looking trait of the captain and Rocks flag look like a face on fire. The main caviate is the story revolved a lot around inherited will and we assume teach inherited the will of Xebec..
Video suggestion: what if sanji never joined the crew? You did this once with Zoro so it could be cool to see it again but with other members of the crew
I'm starting to think that Shanks and Luffy will share the same relation as Whitebeard and Roger did. So i find it entirely possible that they will end up fighting eachothers while still being friends. Like Whitebeard and Roger.
Vegapunk kept Bonney's position in authority command structure a secret most likely because he was hoping he would be able to resolve the conflict somehow before that. Also, he haven't had time to tell that to Bonney in secret before exactly, and now it being a secret didn't really mattered anymore
I think the reason that vegapunk didn’t tell bonney about the command order of the pacifista. Is because there was so much else he forgot to till the moment everything was happening. Or he didn’t want tell her in her using in front of kizaru or the marines and put an even bigger target in her. Like all marines being ordered by saturn to kill bonney instead of capturing. Could be a number of reasons it wasn’t revealed till now.

The appearance of the giants really took me by surprise and I had to go back to the end of Wano to see if we missed something about Shanks maybe telling them to fetch Luffy. The first thing that I noticed that i think a lot of people forget is that Perona help Cobby to escape and request him to free Moria and it's easily fogetable because it's just one case. The second is before destroying Kid, Shanks was really motivate to make his move against Blackbeard. I wonder if the red haired crew will stumble on Bepo and Law and at the same time learn about the giant beiing with the strawhat.
I could really see a reunion happening on Elbaf with Law having the D. too now.
Another point is about what we know about what will happend on Egghead, the narrator state that the following day what happend here will shock the world. I wouldn't be surprise as when the conflict come to its end Morgan is up in the air having the time of his life with such a story. Because if he's not there I doubt that the marine/the world governement will talk about it at best a mention of Luffy surviving for the second time a buster call and be blame for the destruction of another government facility. It will be more shocking for the world if they learn that Marine ships were destroyed by giants from Elbaf, helping the emperor crew fleeing, an picture of an admiral defeated or the front page being an huge robot facing of a member of the gorosei looking like a real demon..

I think the reason that vegapunk didn’t tell bonney about the command order of the pacifista. Is because there was so much else he forgot to till the moment everything was happening. Or he didn’t want tell her in her using in front of kizaru or the marines and put an even bigger target in her. Like all marines being ordered by saturn to kill bonney instead of capturing. Could be a number of reasons it wasn’t revealed till now.
