Hi, a few days ago I took my sienna to the shop to get brake pads replaced, this person replaced only front brake pads and charged me $500, now that I’m watching this video , your brake pads look new compared to mine, I’m just thinking 🤔 my mechanic charged me and didn’t replace them!!! What can I do?

If you are not flushing the brake lines, do you still have to bleed the brakes?
Also, when tightening the emergency brake and leaving it with some friction, isn’t that going to wear down the emergency brake or increase drag on the vehicle?

Here's a 'bro tip' . Use a 4 inch c clamp or some kinda clamp that can push the caliper piston in and then hold the pads while you put those springs . The deeper the better more like a U clamp . Harbor freight sells them for less than 5 bucks . Or you can get the cameraman to hold it for you .

Great video! Thank you! Quick question: I noticed the pins on the front were different (sizes as well as one had a rubber ring). First, why is that? Second, since it wasn't mentioned, I'm assuming the fact that a missing rubber ring isn't a factor? Thanks!!
Great question, of course the size of the pin matters which one it goes on but the missing rubber piece isn’t a problem at all. I’m sure it has a purpose but I’m not 100% what that is, if it give me a lot of trouble going in then I take it off but if it goes on fairly easily then I’ll leave it on. Doesn't the ceramic grease just collect dirt. And, why would the "old" brake fluid be dirty? There doesn't really seem to be a need to open the bleeder screws. Just push the fluid back up into the system. That fluid should be clean.
The ceramic grease, on top of lubricating moving parts like the caliper pins, is to lubricate the place where things make contact such as the shims and back of the inboard pads. The reason I change the brake fluid is because over time brake fluid absorbs moisture when there’s too much moisture, it’ll rot your brake system from the inside out. If it’s your own personal vehicle and you choose not to change it every time, that’s up to you but as a professional that doing a job on a clients car, I prefer to do a proper quality job. @@RoysGarage808 Okay, thanks for the info. Yeah, I guess if you're working on someone else's car that makes sense. I've owned Toyotas and Hondas all my life and have never changed the brake fluid...luckily. Because, I hate bleeding the brakes. Thanks!
