Congratulations on the appointment to the final Demetri. The weather cost me a final as AR and I'm still gutted! I hope the club looked after you in the bar after the game!
Thank you James. I’m sorry to hear that mate, I felt the feeling at the time possibly losing the final, it felt crap. They really did with there food, drinks and great hospitality.
first match on Saturday got a adults team. What's the whole process you do when getting to the ground etc what do you say to the teams and linesman. Also when wanting extra time added at the HT/FT how do you indicate it?
Good luck, I hope it goes well. Every league is different. Speak to someone there, say your the referee for this match and they will direct you to the right person. Someone should come in from each team if they do team sheets and give you the team sheets. For your assistants, just explain what you want from them during the game. My pre match talk is in this video, so if you want to write stuff down to help, please do. I’m sure your assistants will be experienced, so ask them for help. Try and get your assistants attention and just give him the signal. So I hold up 3 fingers to my assistants to indicate added time
couple of things, why do you carry match cards if you using the refsix app. just asking, as i dont use the cards anymore and find the app brilliant. second thing, in wales, any match as a trio or more, whoever is center brings the drink and choccy ;)
@@RefsWorld Grassroots referee, Miami, FL. You can make $400 (a weekend), reffing 10 games though. Of course you have to consider the split and age groups reffing.
Class from beginning to end Demetri. Pleasure to be on the team with you. Keep in touch and see you on the pitch soon! Scott 🟡🔴 🤝🏻
Likewise Scott! Great working with you and made it even easier for me on the day. See you soon 🤝
Nice video 👍 particularly enjoyed the pre-match / AR briefing stuff

31:50 good foul recognition so far and you’ve matched your style to the tempo of the game well. With the advantage, do you always signal this way?
Thank you. Haha no, that was a very sloppy one. Normally it’s more polished than that, or using just one arm
Great ref
Hello brother I am come from Cambodia. i am your fan.Can you release a video showing the referee's exercise before the start of the match?❤❤🙏
Hello Vorn. Of course, I will add this into a video 😁
33:05 it happens don’t worry about it 🤣
😂😂😂
How young can you be to become a ref,and is the pay the same, thanks so much!
You can be any age and start but if you’re under 16 then you can only do kids games I believe. The pay varies
Hi mate just wondering were you go the coins from?
I got one from therefereestore.co.uk and another from www.backztitch.com/coins
That was an easy game to referee. Congrats on getting the final for you and your team.
It really was. Thank you

I only use the app for the heat map/distance and sprints, not the cards. Haha i’ll remember that
Where did you get the cards from???
I got them from therefstop.co.uk
@@RefsWorld Thank you so much!
Out of interest what level are you now? Most of our county finals are given to L4s these days.
I’m a level 5 now(second season just finishing). Ohh how comes? Experience?
Buy a boot buddy mate. Best thing ive ever bought for cleaning my boots
I’ll have a look at that now. Thank you
what whistle do you use
Sonik CMG blast
Doing my course this summer can you give any tips
That’s great! Just enjoy it. It’s s good few days and try to keep in contact with some other new refs
Hey at the end of the game how do u signal who won tie extra time and penalties or possibly or golden goal
I think both teams will know the score and who’s in front. I just need to blow the whistle for full time
Thank you@@RefsWorld
How many warning fouls before a yellow card?@@RefsWorld
@dominickesposito3474 It could be any number. If the tackle is worthy of a card then show one
Ok some people think 3 or 2 what would you do? @@RefsWorld Or can it be nonstop warnings
Congratulations on getting your Final…get a boot buddy. It has seriously changed my life with boot cleaning!!
Thank you. I have to look that up, I hate boot cleaning so much 😂
How much do you make a year reffing?
Not a lot, I couldn’t tell you the exact amount

That’s a decent amount. If I reffed on a Saturday and done two games on a Sunday, I’d be paid £150
@@RefsWorld Well, that's good to know and thank you for replying so quickly.
Nah my u14 team could beat the red team 💀
