I don't even dodge Wifi symbols, I feel it has very little to do with actual internet quality where I live. Supposed wired players have connection problems equally often (likely since a wired 4G/5G router will be shown as wired in-game). It does mean I have low trigger finger to stop at one and done, if there is any hiccup AND I see Wifi.
The run stop adds like 30 damage to the crMK +... +target combo + tatsu/dp/lash. It's way easier to just go into crMK +cr MP + target combo etc. than to risk flubbing the runstop.

He's a Gamer. Also it's his job and Master rank is only the top 2% of players. SFV highest rank is the top 0.5%, as comparison. Master rank isn't easy to get, but Sajam has been at this for like a decade now and all that experience accumulates. I'm not trying to say it's no big deal Sajam is gonna get master rank with every character, but it's because he is a very very very very good gamer, not because he's a god gamer. Also I think street fighter has the least amount of differences between characters of most fighting games? Like 75% of the cast is shoto and everyone is going for light light special, level 3 all deals the same damage, combos are all dr cancels, etc. He didn't take all the gg strive characters to celestial although he definitely could.

Also easy punish for flubbed DPs: crHP cancel into heavy kick Jinrai, OD dragonlash, HP DP. Does 3800. If you don't want the side switch you can just do L1 super instead of HP DP.
If the DI connects while they're in blockstun they won't get stunned. If you look on the right side of the screen it says "lock" which means ken was in blockstun. Basically you can't do a true blockstring into di you have to leave a gap
Does anyone know why Jamie's don't just chug as much as possible when they're full screen? Is there a cooldown on his chug? I always see them take a drink and then stop and come back in
It has some recovery on it and there's always a risk someone will drive rush in and blow you up for it, or throw a projectile you can't block or parry in time.
It's safer to take multiple drinks than one big chug. If you take two quick drinks, between the drinks you can parry, block and do other actions as needed. I'm pretty sure you also gain drinks slower by chugging
A lot of the times you just let your opponent back in, on your ass. Drive rush is an option too, but there's more niche cases like where cammy can level 3 him after certain mid-screen combos if he tries to drink. Manon can also kick him in the face faster than you'd think. I'm sure ken can run dp and there might be more. Pretty much only time he can take multiple swigs safely is off punish counter heavy kick(?) and palm. He may not be hit for some of his drinks, but it's such a big risk with minimal payout.
He is THE definition of a balanced all rounder, nothing especially toxic (maybe dr heavy punch), just solid strong tools that are better then other characters, so he isn’t a character that would carry you like Honda and JP, but is really good and someone solid would do especially well with him
@@imtx_xmtiHe definitely is a character that can carry you. The learning process is steep because the reality of it is, is that he’s a character that doesn’t really have a flow chart anymore. He can literally confirm off everything and I mean everything and get TONS of pressure of anything. A regular standing jab can easily turn into a corner carry that gives you OKI on top of knocking 30% off your health. He’s versatile, fluid, powerful, and most importantly safe. A lot of his usual pokes or strings come from a place where he’s either safe due to his string leaving him just out of punish range or he’s safe because he’s choosing to poke you from downtown Detroit with his cMk which he’s going to immediately confirm into his dash or drive rush.

In the first two weeks of the game i tried placements with ken and got plat 2, every other character i tried got put in gold or lower, i was a super silver player in sfv, he carried me up n over a mountain 😂

Kens strengths arent even all that evident at low levels. Im in plat and Kens are essentially interchangeable with Ryus at this level. Plenty of characters that can carry people through silver/gold/plat better than Ken
Chipotle smell constantly wafting into gamers' noses just as the match ends so instead of rematching they float away along the secent trail like a cartoon character.
I don't mind losing, but I'll sometimes one and done when I get put against someone who is so clearly vastly above my skill level that I'm not really gonna learn anything from the beat down. I'm a lower ranked player and improving slowly but surely, so fighting someone who's better than me helps to learn my weaknesses, but when someone picks you apart so thoroughly because of a clear massive gulf in skill level then it's hard for me to even begin to understand where anything went wrong, so it's a waste of both of our times to do another set they're just gonna win 2-0 effortlessly again But obviously this is me acknowledging it's because I'm a very low ranked player new to SF6, I feel like anyone up at diamond has far less of an excuse
You’d be surprised there are times where I just have someone’s number two games in a row. And times where I get double perfected and that’s me sitting in Diamond 5 on my main. Such is life
It almost feels weird seeing Sajam not cook people like the usual 3 star michelin chief he usually is; makes me feel better about maining Ken and still finding some execution stuff difficult

Right there with Sajam being too quick to hit confirm the matchmaking popup. I only manage to dodge wifi players like 20% of the time.

Ken is honestly hard AF to play well. I main him and have tried almost every other character and he’s definitely tough to master
