Using Howard's interview style against him.

What I love is the tone Stern has with Wesley’s success before interviewing him, only to get schooled on the fact he’s a true artist and a hard worker

The woman on the show talks about Wesley as if he's not even a person. She sounds horrendously disrepectful

I got to meet him! He was great. If he liked you, he'd grab your shoulders and give you a slow, playful head-butt. He gave me one. Sweet guy. We miss you Wesley!
      Also, Howard Stern sucks.

Wes keeps saying "Thank God I'm doing well" and these idiots just laugh at him as he opens up about very intimate personal subjects. This is sickening.

Was the concept of "outsider art" just less widely known in the mid-90s?

Blame Wesleys publicist its not like this show was unknown. The Howard Stern Show was the #1 show in the nation and Stern is still the the highest paid radio star . His team knew exactly what they were doing

It has happened several times. Not super common but it has happened. Stern had a hard time controlling interviews with guests like Elegant Elliot Offen and Crazy Alice as well.

Stern's alright here, but a bit disrespectful and dismissive, and completely wrong about the homelessness, ha.
