I can't believe your day started out so sunny...how quickly the weather had changed! I don't think I have ever seen a blue heron up close in real life...it looked like it was about to blow away in the wind. Mmmmm, the Mexican chocolate espresso looked yummy! I love Cuban food...the sampler is always a good choice. Glad you guys saved room for dessert...the flan looked amazing!
Yup, that's Florida weather for ya! The storms come in fast (and often), but thankfully they usually leave fast too! That Cuban sampler was seriously the best meal I've had in quite a while!
The coffees and avocado toast at Gulfperk look amazing! The downtown area looks so cute! There seems to be A LOT of art in all of the areas you visit, love it! Thats too bad is was super windy down by the water, but thats awesome you can just go find a place to wait out the storm. THanks for taking us along with you guys!

So we watched the Perfect Storm last night and now I'm watching this thinking that the coast out that way always has storms, lol. I even remember my short trip to Florida years ago during November was just one storm after another. We're going to have to watch more of your Florida vids to see different weather 😂
hahaha, we definitely have plenty of sunny days here. We live in St Pete currently and it is known as the Sunshine City because it averages around 361 days of sunshine a year! I will say though, this past winter seemed to bring more rain than usual. Thanks so much for watching!

Yeah that blue heron was fearless and beautiful. We've always been told that you have to go to Miami or Tampa for great authentic Cuban food in Florida, but we were so happy to find some so close to home in Gulfport!

LOL yeah pretty much every business in Gulfport is "just in an old house", and we loved it! It definitely has that old southern charm. The Cuban food was some of the best food we've had in a long time. It's up there on our list of favorites as well!

Yeah, COVID has definitely forced us into niching down a bit more than planned and really focus on Florida content. But thankfully we love making Florida content, so we really can't complain one bit! We still plan to travel the world, if we become known as those Florida people who love to drink beer in the meantime, we can live with it 😆

I'm currently thinking about moving from Pennsylvania to Seminole Florida and found your channel while doing my research. I've watched quite a few videos so far so I wanted to say thanks for the effort! Also, I'm blaming you if I make the wrong decision! ;)

We hope you have a great vacation. There are a lot of apartments to chose from. They've built at least three new, large apartment complexes near downtown St. Pete just within the last year, and they are building more. The rent here is higher than Tampa and the majority of Florida, but still much lower than places like New York, LA, etc...
Gulfport looks like a lovely place! I really liked that the cafe and brewery you visited looked like someone's house. How charming! This doesn't look like a very touristy area. It looks like it would be a good option to live here if I want to enjoy the Florida lifestyle but not be overwhelmed by crowds. Do you find Gulfport to be walkable?
Hey Tonya! Yeah, Gulfport definitely has that less touristy, old-Florida feel. Unless you visit during Gecko-fest... during that time the streets are filled with people and it feels extremely touristy. The downtown area and water-front of Gulfport is quite touristy. It's a very artsy city and has a bit of a hippy/gypsy vibe. It's similar to Safety Harbor in many ways, both cities which we love.
That is a tough question because I don't think we really got to experience this location in Gulfport. When we made it to the 2nd floor there weren't many people and the band started to pack up due to the storm rolling in...and then it poured for a while LOL. We did really enjoy the view because we could see the bay, the beach and a little of Beach Boulevard. We will have to go back when there isn't a line of storms coming our way 😄
According to Google the Caddy's Gulfport location is closed? Too bad, we have been to the Treasure Island location one three or four times and had been bookmarking their other locations to stop by on future trips.
