top tier comment
top tier nonsense
Man this season was just so much better than everything that came before it. The show on Netflix gained another pace completely. I even joked about it with my wife, that the show was running so fast now that Zeke didn't even have time to talk with Mick about his relapse, when in the seasons before, we would have plenty of useless scenes of useless conversations with useless characters. In this season we had PLOT moving forward.
God, I hate Angelina and how real her character is in most of her insanity. But I LOVE how the story having her as a "villain" made everything so much better this time around. These are the 10 best episodes that Manifest has ever produced.
Eagan is another character that I thought gave the show some fresh air. Enough with good people doing good things, people are not heroes worried about doing heroic stuff, there are a lot of selfish people who only care about themselves regardless of what's at stake. And having him being the "best" at deciphering the callings because of his photografic memory was just a great move from the writers. I felt really angry when he stole the sapphire, and this is something I hadn't felt up to this point: anything. This show was pissing me off so badly with those random callings with random people, saying it was all connected while it clearly wasn't; now everything really IS connected, they brought old characters and made sense of them, like Adio's father being now a defender of the passengers; the copilot knowing what happened and, the best IMHO, Zeke.
Zeke was just something else in this season. I never liked his character and even less his relationship with Mick. This story of "meant to be together" was the ultimate BS for me. How the hell Mick "forgets" about her love of years just because some random guy the callings introduced to her? This felt cheap AF. However, this season Zeke showed himself to be one of the best characters of this show, that is not great in developping its characters overall, if we think about it most of them are super shallow and don't have clear motivations or meaningful relationship with each other or other people. But Zeke was just something else. His relationship with Mick finally felt real, his companionship with everybody and him being with Cal in his deathbed... I mentioned about feeling something before, but when I realized he was gonna sacrifice himself to save Cal, I just burst into tears. It was so well done! He came back to life and found Mick and the 828 gang because of Cal; and then again, he died and came back, saving Cal, but now with "superpowers". And his final act was sacrificing himself in order to save Cal who's the only one to save everybody. It's not cheap or "convenient", it's a well built script that made his whole appearance make sense in the plot. That's why I could feel sad about his death: because it MEANT something. Differently from 90% of the stuff that happened in the prior 3 seasons or even when he "died" after saving Cal the first time.
Finally, talking about the plot itself that finally happened in this season: I see a lot of people complaining about the religiousness of much of what they're doing, but I just couldn't care less... I mean, the plot from the 1st episode is some people disappeared for 5 years in an airplane just to come back as nothing happened to them. What the hell do you think would explain that? The only "scientific" explanation is some worm hole, but what would be the fun to justify it with that? What's the point of callings and the whole thing? Of course there's something abnormal and maybe God-related, so what? I just hope they can tie up things in a satisfying way, whatever explanation they want to give, that it at least makes sense in the end.
Just wanted to say thank you for the recap and awesome work! Hope we get an amazing part 2 that finishes in a high note this story that at some moments had me really pissed off but got me hooked in this last season.
f*** Angelina 😑 🖼
owl
f**** Painful for her 😦 ?
all these lava, volcano, ashes, burning callings happenings to all the passengers, and they all never got together to talk about them
🤣🤣 EXACTLY!!
Now they have the chance to talk about it.
Wow
My thoughts exactly.
Omg my heart BROKE for Zeke!! He’s such a caring person. Let’s hope Cal bring him back….. but not with the empathetic stuff.
I just want to see Angelina in a box!!!!!! Loved your recaps
The way Angelina eludes capture is comical and ridiculous. So many opportunities but logic goes out the window.
if it was me, she'd be gone after the fire incident in season 3, and I don't mean just kicked out the house lol
@@jamesdewayne It went completely off the rails for me after Ben pointlessly misdirected Vance away from Adrian's compound. .
@@billross7245 that was annoying af lol
Man, I can’t wait for part 2. Rip Zeke, I cried.
Thanks for all the Manifest content this year, your videos are so well-made and you're the reason I got into Manifest in the first place.
Probably the best thing that happened to me in 2022 was meeting new people and making new friends, I really got to develop my social skills after 2 long years.
My prediction for part 2 is that the episodes are going to be structured differently, instead of cutting to different scenes happening simultaneously we're going to get full episodes showing what's happening in different storylines.
One episode will be about the 828ers in prison, next one is solely focused on Angelina's destruction.
It's 10 episodes long so and I feel if the Omega sapphire is that powerful, it could destroy the world in like 2 days but this way you can 3 episodes all happening on the same day.
first, I not only agree with your predictions, I NEED that to be the way they do it. thats a good idea fr. second, love to hear it, 2020 really took a toll on my social skills but I think this year I got better too
many thanks for these videos! even though the show is already finished, it's nice to watch these videos while i am right now discovering the show and watching These recaps and Reviews back to back with the new episodes i just watched, with these videos i feel not alone watching the show and hear someone elses thoughts
thank you!
thank YOU
not me starting this thinking it was all finished and now I have to wait! just binged every single video of your manifest series, 10/10 think your commentary is amazing. never understood the term 'itching' for something you know, but now I do! cant wait, happy new year man!
thank u so much !! wish u nothing but the best 2023 possible

boo!
"Bruh this looked like the end of Stranger Things" haha top it off with the psycho (angelina) pulling a Vecna/Henry with the fake visions of Grace and Mick's friend
You did a fantastic job with this series my guy! You earned my sub, thank you
thank u !!
Zeke = 🐐
The ending was heartbreaking. 🥺 I think the writers always intended for Mick and Jared to be endgame. At the end of Season 3, it felt significant when Jared told Michaela "I was just starting to finally get over you. He was supposed to be gone... That's the only reason I stood there and watched him marry the love of my life." Zeke stood there and could sense with his empath powers that Mick felt something for Jared, and he said "We should talk." Then in S4 E2 we see that talk in a flashback and Mick admits she still has feelings for Jared, Zeke suggests that maybe Jared and Mick were supposed to be together, but Mick says that she will always choose him and she loves him. She says the feelings for Jared will fade. But in the present, there seem to still be feelings there when she meets Jared on their special bench to discuss a passenger. And later in this ep, Zeke tells Ben "you can love more than one person at the same time- I would know." (Mick loves both Zeke and Jared.) Mick and Zeke stand under the stars and he says there's room in her heart for everyone she loves. Then the song "Turn Turn Turn" starts playing, which to me feels like it's foreshadowing that her time with Zeke is just a passing season that will end and he will die.
All of this feels like it's building to a Jared-Mick reunion, probably at the very end after a time jump. I think Zeke was there for 2 main purposes: to save Cal so he can save everyone else, and to help Mick finally forgive herself for her friend's death- they helped each other heal from their guilt. He also felt guilt over the death of someone he loved. And think back to the start of the series: Mick didn't want to marry Jared - not because she didn't love him but because she didn't think she deserved to be happy. But thanks to Zeke having been in her life, she will overcome her guilt and ultimately let herself be happy with Jared in the end. Zeke also stepped in and took care of the family while Ben was too grief-stricken to be a father.
In a show with so many religious references, Zeke was like an angel sent to help Michaela, Cal, and the whole family for a limited time when they needed him. He even used his empath powers to sacrifice himself to help people as a therapist (causing himself pain by absorbing it from them), and ultimately to sacrifice his life for Cal. Making him a martyr, another religious reference. He was there for a reason and that's been completed now. 🥺💔
Wow that was awesome thanks
@@mikewherry8481 Thanks for saying that- my comment was so long that I didn't expect people to even read it, but I thought a lot about this and I had to share. 🙂
The whole endgame thing is cringe.
@@deusexmachina9776 We all know that writers often have "endgame" couples in mind when they write. I'm not saying that's what I want to happen. I'm theorizing they're planning it based on plot details I noticed. You don't have to be an ass.
Btw, using "cringe" as an adjective is ironically kind of "cringe" in itself for me, because the word is and always has been "cringeworthy."
@@JulieBarbara i mean the actual word endgame. It is just cringe teenage talk. Why would anyone quote Riverdale
Here we go! I’ve been waiting for this video
Thank you very much for your upload s l just finished part 1 of your narrating and let me say wow things are starting to make sense and I'm glad Jared and mick might end up together
Thank you for the amazing explanation❤
i love your video good recap
THANK U :)
Ha! I love your recap, so hilarious
thank u !!
I think they will go back to before flight 828 took off and the people won't get on it this time. They will now have the information that happened when the plane went missing and can make better decisions
I loved when Ben got his daughter.
She's very dangerous ?
I thought that the scars on Zeke hand were transferred from Cal when he held it for support... That's why seeing them he realizes that he can actually save Cal......🤔🤔
👀
This episode was so good and I did cry. Manifest carried me through 2022. My favorite moment this year is me going to homecoming. I met my best friends who got into manifest because of me. 2023 I will be opening up with manifest & will watch castle & more shows. This is us opened my 2022 & will ended my 2022. Manifest × stranger things
I don't think Angelina is the main villain in this. I believe her mom is. My prediction is that Angelina's mom will be revealed as the one behind ALL of the callings, each and every last one of em. To me Angelina's mom will pretty much be God calling for a Final Judgment of sorts because of how the passengers did NOT treat Angelina who I got major Lucifer vibes from. Cal is obviously Christ. But if you don't believe that God exists, you don't believe that Lucifer exists, either. But the purpose of Christ is to tell you that BOTH exist. Keep in mind I'm Jewish so if my knowledge of the New Testament here is off, my bad haha.
Also I haven't watched all of this, just some of season 3 and most of season 4. Couple of shows in season 1. So I might need to brush up on the rest of this before coming up with a REAL theory.
Remember the quote from John Ford, "You can't shoot the horses". If Egan and Angelina got what they deserved when the other characters first had the chance to off them, the show would be over. No villains, no drama.
Of course Mick and Jerrod have to blinded by being "good cops". Ask the most evil people on the planet to surrender rather than immediately blasting them to save the world. This drags out the story. They did not learn the lesson from Zeke's blasting the crazy lady with the rifle. They just have to stop thinking and acting like cops handling a routine crime. They need to act like the saviors of the world that they are and blast the bad people whenever or however they can. And of course, the show being set in New York, nobody would ever think of arming all those dangerous civilians. That is so uncivilized!
But all of this is the only thing you can expect from Hollywood. Push Liberal gun grabbing agendas and come up with phony and unrealistic action to extend the story.
I think (or at least hope) your observation of fighting fire with fire will actually be approached during the final season, for anyone who has a positive relationship with God and doesn't just fear God knows that mercy is the only thing that truly conquers evil. I want this notion to be explored as well, but we will see.
Your first line is right. Can't just take out the villains, although I don't believe Egan or Angelina are villains in this at all. The real "villain" will be Angelina's mom, who will pretty much reveal herself to be God AND Lucifer. Because anyone who understands western spirituality the right way will tell you that God and the devil are the same, its just an interpretation.
For example, God can be merciful and can perform miracles, but God's wrath is literal hell on earth. Being vengeful and selfish (which is how the ENTIRE CAST has been acting in this series) are the two most direct violations of any given biblical code and any theologian will tell you that when you act against God, you will suffer God's wrath.
As far as your last line...ehh, its just how our culture is changing. I mean it used to be about teaching the kids to be good God fearing Imperialist Americans. Don't think either "agenda" is healthy.
I did t like the fact that Zeak died. I don’t care what happens next.
It looked so much like the end of Stranger Things
What was up with that random ass passenger that got his kid taken away?
just another side plot I feel like to fill up time
@James Dewayne I can definitely see that. I read somewhere that Part 2 will deal with passenger stories a lot more. I think it will be either very interesting or very annoying to see how these side missions play out in the finale episodes. Can't wait man!
@@randomfandom4696 yeah I need ONLY answers for part 2 lol
Quite disappointing compairing to the previous seasons.
I have decided (as I think many people have) that I'm just going to accept Season 4 part 1 as the end of the series and not watch anymore. Too much screen time with insane religious nuts. Stupid little girl and her idiot parents. They lost me around episode 6 and I just stopped caring. It was the same with Stranger Things at a certain point it just starts to get lost. When the bad guy is all special effects without even the use of the actor's actual voice you start to question why you cared about the characters in the first place. Just me probably. I just hope that having to wait so long doesn't affect the ratings.
But in Stranger Things the voice is of the actor... He actually can speak like that... He did that in an interview and also there are some bts of the recording studio in which Jamie is speaking in that heavy tone......
So Angelina’s parents were correct
She is evil
No. Angelina's mom is the Devil Incarnate. OR God after being challenged by Azrael (who Angelina might be...either Azrael or Lucifer, both openly challenged God at some point). My prediction is that it is going to be revealed that the callings were under her complete control and the ONLY one who was able to interpret them properly was Cal.
just started to watch S4... the same old nonsense with events happening one after another without any logical link between them... superficial dialogues that don't make any sense... what a torture...
In the bible it talks about the one world religion. As a Christian I believe it is going to be a mix of all religions. I have been sitting back and watching where it is going. That is the only thing I see, but they did get it right when Angelina was in the church and mic told her she was twisting the meaning. That's what one world religion will do. Twist truth with lies and manipulation.
You don't have to watch it if you don't like it
@@love4christ505 The "one world religion" isn't any given faith tho. Both the Old and New Testaments say this. They both say that Man possesses the ability to interpret God's teachings. That is its gift and its curse.
Angelina in this is clearly designed to be Lucifer, since that's what Lucifer began doing as the angel of death, twisting meanings and stuff. Don't remember, it was either Lucifer or Azrael. But yeah that is the gift and curse that God gave us, the one world religion. Because our interpretation is that one world religion.
