  • There is a LOT of coffee in Brazil! My Brazilian friend, Alex, showed me around a coffee farm in Descavaldo, a small community in the country side of São Paulo state.
This area is known for having different types of Arabica coffee. And the raw beans have a surprisingly sweet taste when eaten directly from the tree. As an American, I've never really had a chance like this to be surrounded by so much caffeine. There are over 200,000 coffee plantations in Brazil.
We also talked about coffee and international shipping in Brazil. Sometimes the contracts with different countries can make coffee very expensive for Brazilians themselves.
