Hey Kayla! I love watching your day in the life and homeschool videos. Even my kids watch with me sometimes. I have 3, soon to be 4, kids all around your kid's ages, and I'm also a Catholic homeschool mama. ❤
I love that tshirt!! I know, I say it every time you wear it. 😅 also, I wanted to share the amazing news… my husband finally agreed to homeschool!!! Our Lord has been working on him. Thank you Kayla for being an inspiration.
Keep up the good work Kayla!!!! Keep uploading videos on Homeschooling which is so real and there’s so much new stuff to learn and know about👍👍👍 The beauty of your videos are you never forget to mention the place where you got them from even if it is the smallest thing you have bought in!!!’
Thank you for showing some of the struggles because my preschooler has been having a hard time lately too. A trick I found for letter sounds is the song “A says ah A says ah, Apple, Alligator A says ah” (it’s from Ms Rachel’s phonics episode if you need the beat) but it seriously has made a huge difference
Thanks for sharing!! We just started homeschooling, so this was super helpful to see. Especially the real & true life of homeschooling a preschooler lol! 😅
Wow you are so patient I love this! This reminds me to. It gets irritated with my toddler while teaching first grade to my daughter. The 2 year old’s attention span last like 15 seconds 🤦♀️
Love all your videos!! Does it ever freak you out on your sliding doors not having blinds . I always see people hanging some tall curtains and buying those rods on Amazon that don’t need to be drilled!
Hi Kayla! I have a five year old and she just started kindergarten. Getting her to do extra practice at home is so difficult :( I can't seem to get her to focus or keep her attention for to long before she gets "bored" lol by extra practice I mean either a work book or her home work. how do you keep the kids to pay attention enough to learn the concept of the lesson?
Teacher here....I wouldn't correct him if he said car or raincoat. He will learn the true names of them later but right now if he said car and said no. You should praise him to boost his confidence
I think correcting is fine. What I do is I try to validate my child’s response by saying “that’s a great answer and I see why you think that, but I think the directions want it to be this…” and then give the “correct” answer. It builds confidence and also helps them to follow directions.
I feel the struggle (still a blessing) of hs in this video. I have 3 under 5, also nursing, in the thick of teething 😅 it is sooooo hard sometimes. Right now we are on the rhyming of tfatb preschool. For riley, did you add anything additional for it? My little man isnt catching it
What did you use for kindergarten math?? I am using kindergarten math with confidence but my little one isn’t as interested. I think she needs something more challenging. When something is to easy she gets frustrated and acts like she doesn’t know anything. I was wondering if you used kindergarten good and the beautiful math, if so what’s the difficulty level?
So awhile ago you talked about how you had anxiety, mine has been acting up but now you seem like you have overcome it, how did you do that? How does Riley do with afternoon lessons? I’ve noticed they’re a lot harder to get done and motivation is less, so usually we will pick one subject on busy days. Do you think Good and Beautiful lacks in spelling? I’ve heard that. Riley is an excellent reader it’s not always that easy for a lot, 6 year old first greater is not reading that well, she read the word sacraments? Whaaat.

So informative ! Thank you for posting this video. I’m trying to homeschool my daughter and I love seeing what you do.
love day in the life- any day!!!!!
Would love to see another/updated toy rotation series ☺️
Nothing beats kids actually attending school.. they learn routine and become independent.

You’re doing great! Fun but dedicated work.

Hi friends, so happy to spend time with you this morning!❤
Hi! Good morning! I hope you have the best day.
@@allieglozier2389 Thank you!
I recommend reading logic of english by Denise eide. Really helped me understand phonics and help explain it to my kids. Pretty quick read
Are you able to record when you guys go to co op?

You can add a room. Build a room in the garden so you can teach them there. ❤
My kindergartner goes to public school. We’re Mexican and really wish the school district offered Spanish. I’m going to look into the Spanish study!
OK JP2 on your shirt!!! LOVE! Where is it from?

How did you teach your daughter how to read? 😊
Hi Kayla
Where is your cabinet from?
She’s mentioned it’s from Wayfair
Hey hun! How old are Jackson and Riley now?
@@Shaunie09 hi! Riley’s 6 and Jackson’s 4, but their birthdays are in December so they’ll be 7 and 5 soon

Virginia i liked nice good states
Too much chaos for me. Go to a real school! Sorry just me.
Agree with you, they need interaction with other children at that age too.
@@juliewatson3966 thank you.
@@juliewatson3966 we literally just spent the last 4 hours today with other kids but thanks for the suggestion 👍🏼
Then you can send your own kids to a “real” school. Not up to you what works for other parents.
It's definitely not an easy task and not for the faint of heart. It's much easier to send your kids to "real" school. Kudos to you Kayla.
