This music is so achingly beautiful, bittersweet and tragic all at once.Touches that part of your soul that makes you feel sad but you don’t mind because it also makes you feel alive.
Here after seeing the Ukrainian boy play this song in the lobby of hotel in Kharkiv, I felt touched, in sorrow, saddened, heartbroken by the events in Ukraine. Innocent people should never recieve this kind of attack on their home country. I pray for everyone in Ukraine😢💔🇺🇦 #IStandwithUkraine
His playing literally moved me to tears. It felt like both a plea for help and a final goodbye. It’s horrifying, and I’m disgusted with Putin for attacking over 41 million people who are just like you and I, just trying to live. And now some of them won’t even see tomorrow. It’s late where I am so I might be delirious, but I just really felt like I needed to say this tbh
If you enjoy this kind of melody I can only recommend you to take a look at those ones: • Truman Sleeps by Phillip Glass • The Leftovers (Main Theme) by Max Richter • Rain, in Your Black Eyes by Ezio Bosso
Also here from the boy playing in the lobby in Ukraine…. I want to forever remember this if I hear it again in the future so I’m reminded of what this world should never deal with again once it’s over…
as a grain of hope for this I wanted to say that as of a few reports from the defenders of Kharkiv today the Russian assult had been pushed back and all Russian troops inside of the city were either routed, captured or destroyed.
My heart goes out to everyone in Ukraine especially the boy who was playing this song in that hotel lobby. I wish with my entire heart that war never happens and that young artist can go to school and he can become an amazing pianist. I wish that everyone stays safe. To everyone who continues to joke about this situation I hope you know that actions have consequences and that this is not a laughing matter, a lot of innocent people could get hurt because of this war so please be mindful that just because your home isn’t getting destroyed it doesn’t make it ok to joke about this
Such an amazing piece! My son has been teaching himself this piece and he just found your tutorial. He said seeing you play helped tremendously. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world! 💕🙏🏻
Hope no one ever tells your son that that's not a proper way to learn music some of us are visual learners and some of us are auditory learners, but however we're able to harness sound and harmonize, it doesn't really matter in the end how we learn it.
Sheets: www.musicnotes.com/l/723mw Anyone else watch this series? I just finished it a few days ago, and quite enjoyed it. It was actually filmed near where I live (go Manitoba ^-^). Instantly fell in love with the music, and wasn't surprised to learn Philip Glass helped compose the score. Hoping to do more from the soundtrack :)
Love your covers. Just did my 2nd practice on the keyboard and got "most" of the 2 part intro of this song. I'll get that left hand transition soon enough. Feels really good but frustrating when I keep fat fingering other keys lol.
I came here wondering about all the Ukraine things, and I saw it, not only is this music phenomenal but after seeing that video, heartbreaking. Well done, Philip.
This serie are nice, with special atmosphere (I like). But story is a little bit slow ! This theme goes with this atmosphere and your interpretation is like usually powerfull !
Hello Katherine. How much does it cost to use your compilation in an art production for RelayForUkraine? I don't need a print as you offer prints. Thank you
My prayers are for Ukraine and for all who die innocent. I hope this pointless war will end asap and that the wonderfull country of Ukraine will recuperate fast.
It's been a few months since the Ukraine boy with the piano incident but i still can't get over it. Here i am... brought back to the same piece... with the same feeling
Either it's the piano or its the very modern and kind of blunt attack o. The keyboard but I would suggest doing more work on Chopin and then move that sort of soft fluency to Glass. And I mean this is in a best possible constructive way. It's beautiful music in it's simplicity and as the ingenious writing is simple, it needs a very thoughtful dolce approach in my humble opinion. I played a lot of Bsch and Part when I was younger and there are so much fragrances that Glass brings to the tablo And I know there is a lot in the instrument as well. Electronic grand piano is inspired by Yamahas forte . I prefer the old style schimmel soft sounding and rolling key delivery. But all of this is just my humble opinion.
This is the title track (called “Tales From The Loop”) from the soundtrack. The soundtrack contains variations of the same melody in played in different keys. You are thinking of the track from the trailer or the main theme from the intro to the series, which is actually called “Walk to School”.
This music is so achingly beautiful, bittersweet and tragic all at once.Touches that part of your soul that makes you feel sad but you don’t mind because it also makes you feel alive.
So well said
Much like the series.... about as human a show as there ever was...
I have never seen a better description.

When I heard this I thought "This sounds like the Leftovers"
The world must stop suffering. God be with Ukraine.
Anyone know what happened to the boy from Kharkiv, I’d love to know.
🙏
Also here from the boy playing in the lobby in Ukraine…. I want to forever remember this if I hear it again in the future so I’m reminded of what this world should never deal with again once it’s over…
I stand with Ukraine and the boy who was playing this song in Kharkiv as his city fell. 🇺🇦
Prayers for Ukraine 🇺🇦
@@KatherineCordova 🙏🥺
That video is what led me to this video too
day 4 and city hasn’t fallen

the video of the young Ukranian boy playing this made me want to seek out the song itself.
Thus in the dying world, there is a glimmer of hope slowly fading. That’s what this song represents now

This song makes epic the memories of when I was a clhild. It thrills me inexplicably. Great video!
Beautifully written and played.
Excellent, etalonic Performance. This Woman FEELING Philip Glass's music.

Absolutely gprgeous performance.
Ok this music is epic and singular... Good job 👏👏👏🙏
By far my favourite version of this song . It's even better than the original
Love this piece and enjoyed watching you perform it.
Como eu amo essa música de introdução, como amo a série.
It's the most beautiful and emotive series I've watched
Tus manos son mágicas, tienen vida propia. Hermosas.
Love your covers. Just did my 2nd practice on the keyboard and got "most" of the 2 part intro of this song. I'll get that left hand transition soon enough. Feels really good but frustrating when I keep fat fingering other keys lol.
Always happens when I’m learning new songs too, just keep practising!
Amazing, love this song🥰
Lovely work on this Katherine !
Lovely piece from a great new TV series.
the best cover ever
Absolutely flawless and incredibly beautiful.
I love this --and the series is one of my favorites on Prime Video!
Hauntingly beautiful!
I came here wondering about all the Ukraine things, and I saw it, not only is this music phenomenal but after seeing that video, heartbreaking.

this show was beautiful
Incrível. Amo demais
Such a beautiful piece of music, I learnt this over lockdown, could never get past 1:07 😂😂
Well played Katherine ☺️
😊
E brava la Katerina!
That was played very well.
Beautiful! just discover the serie yesterday
The second part is different to the original version? Beautiful
wow amazing
it's sounds like the music from "Leftovers" too. cool
and a little bit from Gravity Falls lol :
It is almost the same....but Philip is the creator of this style..with obvious Bach and Mozart influence .
Прекрасно!
Very nice cover!
Interesting choices ! Using triolets instead of 8th notes, taking quite a bit of liberty compared to the original material... nicely done :)
I wish I could be plugged in to the matrix and suddenly 'know' how to play piano.
I’ve said the same thing to myself when I want to learn a new song quickly.
can you do the grandpa's gone from the tales from the loop??
Stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦
Anyone noticed how there's a resemblance to Philip's "Truman Sleeps"?
Il y a encore plus de ressemblance avec « the departure » de Max Richter (surtout le début et la fin)
Very good this song
Nice playin!
Well played
♥️♥️♥️♥️ lindíssimo

É uma pena que essa série não deu sequência 😢. Era tão boa
Ce manea faina
Terriblemente hermosa...
Does anybody have an opinion about how difficult this would be to learn?
My prayers are for Ukraine and for all who die innocent. I hope this pointless war will end asap and that the wonderfull country of Ukraine will recuperate fast.

this reminds me of Gymnopedie no1
🇺🇦
Pray for Ukraine!
I am looking to give away my late husband's Yamaha baby grand Piano to a passionate instrument lover.
What does with pedal mean in the sheet music?
Gilotopia To the play the song with the pedal for sustain.
This reminds me of Muse's exogenesis piece
Italiani che hanno cercato questo capolavoro dopo la notizia?
Very interesting you played in D major every other tutorial I see is in C. I like yours better

Crying is suitable
Am I the only one who knows this from the show?
🇺🇦💛💙
Reminiscências de O Show de Truman.
Philip Glass too.
The key is E- not B- I believe.
The first high B octaves should be arpeggiated. :-)
This sounds close to The Leftovers theme
