I heard this piece because of IG... a Ukranian boy playing it in the hotel lobby as Russia attacked. I wanted to hear the whole composition as it broke my heart listening to it.
same, i was going to comment this too..the saddest thing for me is that my family is all there. They can’t leave Ukraine or else they die. its so sad bro omg:(((
What a wonderful soundtrack for this day and age. I saw the series and this piece stayed with me. The Ukranian boy playing in the lobby while death rains around him brought this haunting, beautiful masterpiece back to me. How on Earth are we humans able to create such beauty and create so much pain?
Just finished watching the series and as a syfy fan it is one of most intriguing shows I've seen since Fringe. The sadness and loneliness of the characters really pulled at me. The music fit perfectly with what they seemed to be feeling. I cried at the end of this first season and can't wait for season 2.
@@PaulLeonardMorgan I'm glad I've found this soundtrack, but hate the circumstances for which I have. That young man chose a wonderful tune to play, and I hope it wont be his last. I appreciate your reply! #peaceforUkraine 💔
Just delicious, the whole thing. It completely immerses me. I get lost in it, which doesn't often happen to me. It's like wandering around in an amazing convoluted dream that leaves you desperately disappointed when you wake up, and you think about it for the whole day, willing yourself back to. Thank you.
I always remember The Leftovers with this song... then I just expect some heavy moment hits the episode until I realize: this is another kind of show!!!
I was about to say, “did Glass get inspired by The Leftovers song?” Then I read somewhere that The Leftovers song was inspired by music in The Truman Show which Glass composed. So I guess Glass just inspired himself.
Tales from the loop has one of the most raw, powerful and heart touching stories. The music is like glass (no pun intended) Delicate, beautiful and let’s you see new perspectives. Thank you to all the people who put work into this,
This music is phenomenal. The creator should be very proud; it is touching and inspires curiosity. It is only because they played this music in the trailer that I became interested. It is gorgeous. I look forward to watching the show now.
I thought this had been cancelled so I just googled it to find out why and to my surprise is it hasn't been cancelled. season 2 is a bit up in the air broadcast wise but i'm so happy. Hands down one of my favourite series of all time. everything about it including the music is perfect.
The only thing that helps me to focus. I need music like this, otherwise I feel my mind being torn in a million directions at once. Also, this is just so haunting
i learnt this piano piece in honour of the Ukrainian Boy who played since i never found out if he made it out alive and surviving for the Russians so me learning this piece was in honour for him and each time i play it i think of his amazement.
We both worked together. Philip would send me chords and I would write tunes over the top, PG would tale those tunes and alter them. Other times, I would just compose parts, others he would. It was a very organic process. And also just fascinating us finding our groove working together!
I was moved when I saw the video of the boy in the hotel in Ukraine playing this as Russians advanced on the city. I’m never emotional, but this got to me.
Sounds a lot like Beethoven's moonlight sonata in the first movement of the song than progresses, into its own with a repeat of the moonlight sonata coming in. It's weird to listen to moonlight in a different scale. You should give credit to where credit is due and not do his song wrong and just be creative on your own.

I'm so sorry for this, Anna. Hang in there. 💔
I have no words. 💔
Me too 💔
same :/
That boy from Ukraine gave this song an even more melancholic tone.
He made his version to sound like the end, like a little bit of light before the darkness. It made me tear up
Yes. Heartbreaking.
"Everyone is connected to the Loop in one way or another."
I came here after finding a reel of a Ukrainian youth playing this in a hotel lobby as the war began outside.
same here!
I wish it was under better circumstances. That video is everything. 💔
Same, great music

It is the yin and yang of life. Everything must have balance.
Who’s here from the chilling video of the Ukrainian boy playing this in a hotel?
me!
I was unbelievably moved by it. Speechless.💔

Love that you love it - special series!
I originally heard this from a young man in Ukraine, now whenever I hear it that's all ill remember
#peace 💔

This piece is so beautiful. I feel completely grounded yet completely nebulous at the same time.
❤️❤️🥰
The composition, the elements, the whole piece, perfectly reflect the emotional film content. Just brilliant.
Thankyou. The whole series is truly special to me.
@@PaulLeonardMorgan you soften Glass's rough edges, you two should collab again!

Thanks for your beautiful words. I felt like that while watching / scoring the whole series. It’s really something so special! 🙏❤️
Perfect description! I got the same feeling while watching it!
I always remember The Leftovers with this song... then I just expect some heavy moment hits the episode until I realize: this is another kind of show!!!
This show and the Leftovers have very similar themes. Loss, grief, acceptance and mystery. I loved it.

Leftovers vibes...just softer
Great series , great music 👍🎶

This series and accompanying music is incredible, like nothing I've ever seen. Highly recommend ❤
Thanks! Agreed, love this series!
What a beautiful, emotional piece of music. Thank you 🙇♀️❤

Beautiful....makes my heart ache
I've got to watch this series again. I was obsessed with it when it came up. I love you and Philip's work on the soundtrack too. Really inspirational.
🙏🙏🙏
Magical for me this is, love it
thanks!
Such beautiful music Phillip and Paul. It added such beauty to the series. It perfectly reflected the mood of the actors and the storyline. Thank you.
Thanks for the lovely words. Collaborating with philip is a dream, as was this whole project. Glad you like it 🥰
Thanks for this soundtrack, thanks for the feelings🙏
Me encanta. Onirica, triste y evocadora.
Truman still sleeps.
Beautiful

@@PaulLeonardMorgan 😊You as well!
Quattro accordi e crei l'incanto.
It has a Beethoven moonlight sonata feel/sound,,,its wonderful.
Triplets!
theres something so heart-crushingly poetic about finding such a beautiful composition through such destruction and horror... glory to ukraine
It's heart-wrenching.
This damn war... but this music is beautiful...

Thankyou serina. Yes, it was truly moving.
I wonder in which way the collaboration worked: you and Philip composed independently the various pieces, or all pieces were worked together?
We both worked together. Philip would send me chords and I would write tunes over the top, PG would tale those tunes and alter them. Other times, I would just compose parts, others he would. It was a very organic process. And also just fascinating us finding our groove working together!
Truman sleeps
I feel darker and darker hearing this
Always light at the end of the tunnel. 👍
It is like the moonlight sonata ate the fringe theme.
This is the iPhone alarm “unfold”. Or kinda close at least lol.
oh no, did we nick it from apple?!

Pretty much the same sentiment with me...
that show wrecked me
amazing music though
The show wrecked me too. Imagine trying to write for it… ❤️💔

...isnt this just a stripped down Truman Sleeps?
Truman Show!
Truman Sleep!
On est pas loin du plagiat !
Avec un arrière goût de Yann Tiersen aussi !
Normal c est le même compositeur
@@jus1700 le savait il ? Pas sûr
Shame the series was boring. This piece is hauntingly beautiful though.
I adored the series! Different things for different people I guess 😍
@@PaulLeonardMorgan A bit too slow for me. I might give it another go as I've enjoyed some things a bit more after another run through.
@@PaulLeonardMorgan this has to be one of the best things I have seen on tv... It is a nostalgic magic spell from an alternative grim world...
this music is spot on pity it was a load of boring crap an painfull to watch
