Gonna refer folks to your build series on this machine since a whole lot of folks from the 350 forums have questions about jetting with these vintage bikes. Hope you are well. Thank you.
Enjoying your build. It's nice to seen that even professional mechanics suffer from first start anxiety. As to carb set up my thing is to jet the carb for what the motor needs rather than what someone else is running. Looking forward to next video.
I just bought these carbs for my 86 Cmx rebel 450. I hope they end up working out well. Seeing you said there are a lot of adjustments. I guess I’ll have to start researching about them. They haven’t been delivered yet.
I’m so glad I saw this. I’ve done some builds with much more experienced friends. But I’m hoping to try building one of (or both) my CL350s. I hope you have the other videos of strip down and rebuild. Looking forward to seeing all the content you have.
Excited to see what the VM30's do for you, I find my 350 to be a bit sluggish off the line but it screams in the higher gears. (with the VM30's) Great to see the new content brother..
Let me take a guess at what went wrong because I think it might be exactly what I did a while back. CL350 and couldn't get the thing to run after restoration but would get flame shooting backwards through the carburetor... the ignition points are hooked up to the wrong cylinders. And as soon as you flipped them, it fired first kick.
@@TheMotorcycleMD ohhh man, I thought that would be it! I spent 2 weeks going over everything trying to figure it out. I remember the backfire burning the hair on my thigh since i was kickstarting in shorts! As soon as I stopped, breathed, and re-checked everything.. it was obvious. Alright. I'm curious to see what it was. Count me in for the next vid! Thanks for making these down to earth vids. They're fantastic.
Did the VM 30 s for my Honda CM 400T rebuild. It starts ........awesome .....but with the choke levers down and and maybe for 3 or 4 min. it runs and quits. Now i gotta turn screws or something ?
Yo Cody, congrats on all u do. Great n clear tutorial videos. Question: what jets would u recommend for a 83 Honda cb1100f please? Please let me at ur earliest convenience. Wish all the best…Roberto
@@TheMotorcycleMD thanks for replying. I meant to ask u if there is any better jets to improve performance or keeping stock is better? Please let me know. Thanks much n have a good new wk. Roberto
