I'm in Rochester NY. We've had two Sunny Days in a row! We know we're not likely to get a third. So I'm just praying any clouds clear up during the eclipse. But when. I get up tmw morning and it's cloudy I'll still be very very tense. 😜🙄😥
I can’t thank you enough. My plans were for Watertown New York but thanks to you. I have changed them to sunny state of Maine. Many thanks to you. Wishing everybody along the entire path of totality a clear and sunny day. 🙏☀️
I would never have bet on Maine having the best opportunity for an incredible view, especially in early April but i took my chances and I'm up here preparing for tomorrow's event. I'm gonna go to sleep now and hope nothing has changed when i wake up. ☀️

@@swashington942I’m already there from Philadelphia. Going to be INSANE driving back from Jackman. For now it does not seem too busy but I know that will quickly change.
In Québec City, tomorrow's forecast is sunshine all day, no clouds. We are not in the totatlity path's though. We are at 98.75% totality. In Montreal, they are at 100%. I will drive to St-Fred in Beauce tomorrow at noon, it's just 30 minutes away, I will be alone on the shore of a lake... Should be awesome. Feeling lucky me too.

We ended up in Central Arkansas. We were dead-center in the path of totality. 45 minutes before the eclipse the clouds cleared up. Couldn’t have asked for a better eclipse experience. AMAZING !!!
I just drove to Leamington, Ontario from Toronto because i woke up and saw it seemed to be the best place. Its not dead centre of the path but its still in so hopefully i get a good view
Checking in from Dallas Tx. The clouds was there. But Constantly moved out the way and it was a beautiful experience.Awesome something I will never forget.
Thanks - great, detailed info. I traveled from West Virginia to Louisville KY today. Will head toward either Carbondale IL (Plan A) or Vincennes IN (Plan B) early in the morning. Praying for clear skies!
Thank you so much. You gave great clarity of all that was happening. The eclipse was over 5:37 here in Franklin, Indiana as well as Indianapolis. Just wonderful.
I live in Southwest Pa. we are getting a 97 percent solar eclipse, but thats not good enough, drove 3 1/2 hours to a very small town Bloomville Ohio, dead center for totality, they are calling for partly cloudy skies, keeping my fingers crossed, the 2017 solar eclipse was burned into my mind, can't wait for this one.
I live in a small rural town in north western Pennsylvania. It's sunny today and calling for cloud cover tomorrow. What worries me most is we are expecting to have over 10,000 vistors in a town of 5,000 people. Not sure where parking is going to be but it's going to be crowded in my little town.
My brother set himself up over 3 months ago to be in Jackman, ME for this. I may have to consult him for gambling advice! I was planning to drive about 2 hours north from my home into the Adirondacks. A huge letdown and a lot of stress for nothing (I hate traffic and crowds) if I can't see it. The cloud cover forecast for upstate NY got worse and worse with every update in the last 48 hours. 😠
I ended up changing my plans for Syracuse this morning after looking at the cloud forecast. I know I could have kept going east, but I think the roads are going to be a mess. Now I am sitting in Ft Wayne IN, and have a spot tomorrow a bit north west of Indianapolis, which I hope works out. I was really torn this morning, since I was half way to Syracuse, but it really felt like the clouds were just continuing to creep eastward.
Thanks so very much for your cloud modeling. My wife and I drove to the west end of the Lake Erie shoreline (Canadian side), bailing on our home in the Niagara area where we were going to get totality right over our house. Sure enough, as we headed west (and the morning wore on) the clouds we had woken up with gradually thinned and we had sparkling clear skies even sooner than Leamington, Ontario. We fetched up on the shoreline near Erieau and had a spectacular view out to the lake. There were some further light cirro-stratus clouds moving up from the west just enough to give that large ring around the sun but not thick enough to block the corona and it was absolutely perfect. Well done!
Cool. I was going to travel to plano, texas but it's not looking good there, so I decided to stay in Albuquerque. Hopefully I can see the 70% partial eclipse around 12:30.
Drove down to Southern Illinois last night from Chicagoland and arrived at midnight. People were traveling from Nebraska, Wyoming, MN, Iowa, MO, TX, NY, Indiana, KY and the farthest I saw was WA. The roads were busy like daytime last night. If waiting to travel tomorrow am or even late today…buckle up and be ready for lots of traffic! This is my 2nd eclipse, Makanda IL. I have faith in perfect visibility. BTW, my ride home in ‘17 from Makanda took 12 hours back to Chicagoland! The way back is the worst traffic. That’s why I opted to stick around until Tuesday to head back home this time. Hotel was booked 5 months ago. You won’t find anything now. Good luck and be safe America! 🌝🌚🌎
Thanks for posting this! I was gonna head to that area too, driving from Nashville. But coupled with the uncertainty of visibility and traffic, I've decided not to go. Hope you get to see a clear Totality.
Thank you for your updates on the eclipse. Originally I was going to the Waco, Texas area to view the eclipse but I started following your information about 2 weeks prior and eventually changed my viewing location SE Missouri. I am in East Central Mississippi and was able to make the trip to the Benton, Missouri area and viewed the eclipse. What a show it was too. Again thank you.
Fortunately in Ontario, the 401 more or less follows the eclipse path, so you can drive along the north shore of Lake Ontario and go into Quebec if necessary.
Consider relocating to New Mexico; it boasts about 90% sunshine. Precipitation is rare, and even when clouds gather, it seldom results in anything more than a light drizzle.

Luckily the clouds parted where I was and we have perfect visibility during the total eclipse
Yeah which really sucks cause me and my family were planning (mostly me) to drive towards Buffalo and of course it's gonna be cloudy on the day of the eclipse and sunny the day before :/
The last eclipse in 2017 that crossed over Tennessee, I watched total coverage in Lebanon Tenn, outside Nashville. The sky was partly cloudy with patches of sunshine coming thru. As totality increased the clouds disappeared due to the absence of daytime heating. My question is...can this be a factor again, how much or less clouds does this become a factor.
The weather on eclipse day was an outright miracle. With the exception of deep South Texas and West New York, it cleared up for practically the entire path. Just look at the satellite Timelapse. Had it swung just a few hours in either direction, it would have been a completely different story. So glad most of the country got to see it.

Suck couldn't see the planets all in line. I can't drive due to disabilities. However, what I witnessed was fine with me.
@just_weather I was outside from 2:22pm. I captured some pictures in breaks from the clouds. That captured some sort of blue. My younger sister, who lives in Potsdam, had a clear view for the entire time. During totality, I did capture the red around the sun and the diamond shape as well. My cell phone camera takes very good quality photos while zooming in. I'll definitely be watching your videos next year on March 13-14th for lunar eclipse.
