I'm back baby! And I bring you the gift of a discount code for awesome stuff! I also have very shaky hands in this video but that'll be waking up at 2:30am on recording day that did that. Check out www.caterpillarcrossstitch.com for all kinds of wonderfully colourful stitchy goodness, and get 15% off your first individual club box order with the code 15BOX14
You make me smile……the Company should hire YOU for their live promotions…..You made it enjoyable and kept my interest…..plus I too have never had washi tape……and so giggled at your glee I am going to have to look into this new world of wt…..
Haha, thanks! I honestly was so thrilled with the washi tape, I watch so many illustrators designing the stuff and it just seems like something everyone but me has a small collection of...very glad to know I'm not the only one! Although now YOU might be the only one, hmm, that's no good 🤔
I have just come across this amazing shop. I have already placed 2 orders with them. I’m so excited and I have to say their customer service is amazing!
Yes! Every staff member I've had interaction with has been lovely and it just seems like a wholesome company all round. That sort of thing goes a long way, imo.
Ooh I hope it lands with you soon! I've been especially loving watching folks stitch up their British Isles SAL this year, got some good local North East representation on there 😄
Very fun! While I'm not big on subscription things and I do prefer the vintage stuff, I am very pro craft kits! So it's fantastic to see what modern ones are on offer! And what's wrong with manta rays? They're just little (giant) ocean flappy flaps! I've actually had a manta ray painting in mind to do for a few years now (though it's also because of my brother), but just never get the painting time in because I keep the paints very far away from the fibers, and the fibers kind of took over my life when I started buying vintage kits. I have about 600 washi tapes, and, except for that time I managed to keep a decorated journal type thing for about 8 months, I still don't know what to do with them! But they are pretty!
Six hundred? Six HUNDRED? WHAT?! Ok even by my standards that's some impressive hoarding, well done 😆 I admit manta rays have not necessarily done anything to deserve my fear but there was an incident at SeaWorld once and it scarred me and sometimes you can't help what freaks you out, ok? No offense intended to any personal ray friends of yours. And yes I love craft kits! They're such a rare thing for me because I'm so cheap but they're soooo convenient and it's great to just have everything and not have to hunt around for bits and pieces and ugh...if I was rich I'd live off kits lol.
@@TheGiddyStitcher Okay, okay, I might be exaggerating a bit. It's probably more like 40 or 50. But it sure feels like 600 whenever I'm trying to put them anywhere! 😂 Another appeal of vintage kits (or just second hand) is that you can find them for cheap, especially if you find them in person. Always worth a look in the thrift stores.
So excited for you, congrats on receiving awesome products for your UA-cam channel! 🎉 Really loved the branding and colour palettes they have, they are clearly super professional! The video was very detailed and interesting, I could definitely watch more of those! 🥰
Yes I was really excited because they're a company I already follow and love, no shilling here just genuine enthusiasm lol. Somehow doubt I'll be making a habit out of being sent expensive things for free but hey you never know 😉
14:23 washi tape is great for holding projects in place (like masking tape) or decorating letters. Cut a strip then shape it with scissors the same way people do with ribbon. Instant cute envelope decor :)
I love CCS! I had to cancel my subscription for a bit though cause I've not actually worked on any of the projects yet. For reasons. Hoping 2024 will be a better year for me!
"You never want to sit down on a wayward cross stitch needle." I'll do you one better. I found a wayward cross stitch needle with my foot :) (I'm smiling, but I'm not. It hurt.)
Oooooh nooooooo! I'm glad I read this comment this morning and not last night or I might not have been able to sleep. It's a constant fear of mine! Hope your foot healed up ok!
Love, love LOVE your videos! You make me giggle no matter what you are talking about. 😂So glad you are posting again - post wedding, right? Congratulations, by the way.
Yep, we are officially wed! It knocked me off my game for a bit and I'm still not claiming to be 100% back on, but have some excellent videos coming up soon if I do say so myself 😅
13:48 Have you heard of The Nutmeg Company? They are a small UK company who do 3D cross stitching kits with perforated paper. They have a kit of a whitby postcard :) Their products are really good and the staff are lovely

Your videos are funny, informative and so uplifting to watch. Thanks!
I'm not a cross stitcher but this is really cool!
the holes on the thread cards are to hang your extra bits of thread!
That makes perfect sense why didn't I think of that?! 🤦♀️

So fun! I love washi tape! I used to use it for everything when I lived in Japan. I think I need to get some and start using it again.
I need that project bag in my life… or 10 😂 great unboxing, thank youuuu!!❤❤❤
Caterpillar is a great website!

@@TheGiddyStitcher Sorry for validating your fear, haha! And my foot was fine after a few minutes, luckily the needle didn't hit anything important :)

Okay, is there a video I haven't seen in which the manta ray situation is explained? 🫣
Actually no, which is weird because it was so formative for me. But I can sum up: "childhood incident at SeaWorld" 😅
@@TheGiddyStitcher This is exactly the sort of answer I expected and completely valid. 🤗
