I hear you. Was going to go up with the family this weekend but it’s pretty tough for the kids to get eaten alive.

Yes, I think my dad can name most ball players from the 60’s and 70’s. I try to learn but it’s well before my time.

Thanks, Ryan. I try but with kids and work it’s tough to get away. Hopefully something soon.

Thanks Bill! Haven’t made it down to Arkansas. Im guessing the fishing is pretty good though!

Enjoyed the vid. Do you guys ever keep any of those smaller pike? Plenty of them and they taste great once you remove the bones.

Yeah we do. We didn’t on this trip. My mom pickles them and they are delicious. I actually like them fried, I think the firm meat is very white and flakey when fried!

@@arrowheadangler I agree. I've never pickled them, just fried. Just as good or better than walleye

I think the big misconception is handling the fish post cleaning. If you leave the skin and slime on and freeze I think they take on the “fishy flavor”. If you catch them fresh and fillet and then eat or package for later, when properly handled they are one of the best eating fish in the lake.
