Yes, there are buses from mahab to Chennai entire night.
You just come to the Mahabalipuram ECR bus stop (opposite side of A2B restaurant), and from there full night you will get buses coming from Chidambaram, Pondicherry and few more places. So Not to worry.

If I’m planning Chennai to Pondicherry and want to visit this place during travelling where should I place my luggage cause I have to move Pondicherry by night and I want to visit this place in morning ?? 🤔

Currently as per my knowledge there is no cloakroom facility or any other option for keeping luggage in Mahabalipuram. What you can do is, just go to some small lodge or guest houses near Mahabalipuram bus stand area and pay them some 100 to 200 rupees and request them that you don't want any room. Just you want to keep your luggage. So these people will easily keep your luggage in reception area itself for few hours when they get 100 to 200 rupees just for this.
(Don't keep any valuable items in luggage. carry it with you.)
I am giving some link of small guest houses nearby. Just check in these places. Surely some lodge people will help you in this.

Exploring Mahabalipuram sightseeing places will hardly take 4 to 5 hours if explored on a slow pace.
And if you want to cover up thing fast, then you can complete things in even 3 hours also. So not to worry. You can start from Chennai by early morning around 7 or 8 and reach mahab by 9 or so.
Then explore things there in 4 hours and then proceed for your next destination.

And regarding Tirupathi also I visited the place almost 3 to 4 times, but it was all before the pandemic when I didn't start this channel. So not made any video on it.
But I can tell you in short. Fr Chennai if you want to visit Tirupathi, then from Madhavaram bus depo you get mini buses to Tirumala run by Andhra Govt. (APSRTC) which goes directly till the top of the hill and stops at the bus depot just near the Tirupati temple. You can take those buses. That will be comfortable, fast, easy and most budgeted option.
But wait. Earlier free dashan was also available along with paid darshan, so anytime you can go. But now darshan available only after booking it online on their official TTD website. So just check availability there, then book the slots and then proceed.

Welcome to Travel Yatra.
If you are coming by train, then the best budget hotels you will find near Chennai Central railway station itself.
You can go to the inner lanes of wall tax road (It's the parallel road to platform no. 1) there you will find plenty of hotels of every range. And not to worry about your safety in Chennai when you are travelling with family. There almost every Hotel is safe and you can proceed with whatever best option you get.
Still I can suggest you one very good budget hotel in this area which is - Samudra Residency chennai. (it will cost you approximately 800 to 900 rupees per day, 24 hour check out, phone: 044 2533 0322)

Very informative. For the one-day trip, In the evening how do you get back to Chennai from Mahabalipuram?
There is a separate video where I have clearly explained that how to travel from Chennai to Mahabalipuram in TNSTC government bus within Rs 100.
(Request you to check that video from the Mahabalipuram tour series playlist link given in the description of this video. Surely you will get a better idea regarding this travel)
So similarly if you want to return back from Mahabalipuram to Chennai, you have to take the same bus number 188 from ECR bus stop of Mahabalipuram which will drop you at Chennai Thiruvanmiyur or Guindy or CMBT within one and half hours after boarding the bus from Mahabalipuram.
And there are frequent buses from Mahabalipuram to Chennai in the evening as well as in the late night.

Sure I will help you on this. In 1.5k to 2k range it will be quite challenging to get beach resorts by searching directly. So you can check once for various sites which sometime offers 30 to 40% Discount with specific bank credit or debit cards, or for first time user on their app version booking. so you can try these trips and see after discount you are getting a reasonable price or not.
Or else I am mentioning some hotel options in mahabalipuram and ECR beach areas, which will be a good alternative in 2k range :-

Now coming to your second query. In July end or August you will not get peak hot temperature that's the good thing. Just inside the shore temple (exactly at the place where lord Vishnu's idol is there) only at that place photography is not allowed, but still there also you can take your phone in pocket without clicking any pictures.

So one way cab will cost you around 1200 to 1500 rupees.
So for a round trip tour by car you can expect the cost around 3k or a bit more than that.

Yes there is a trip to the sea by local boats as well as 5 star hotels arrange these trips personally. But it's not a proven theory that the missing pagodas are there. And also when you visit the place by boat, you will not be able to see anything except some change in water current (tied structure) on top of sea and the boatman will just explain you that it is BELIEVED that the missing pagodas are here. So visually there is no much fun to go all the way till deep sea and just see the tides and believe in what boatman says. So it's not mentioned by me in the video.

What you can do is, just go to some small lodge or guest Houses near the Mahabalipuram bus stand area and pay them some 100 to 200 rupees and just request them that you don't want any room. Just you want to keep your luggage and just for only keeping the luggage you are paying this amount. So these people will easily keep your luggage in reception area itself for few hours when they get 100 to 200 rupees just by keeping your luggage and doing nothing.
(Don't keep any valuable items in luggage. carry it with you.)

You have 12 hours in your hand, and you can Visit mahabalipuram easily in this time.
Travel time will be 1hour one way.
So maximum three hours of total towards and return travel. And to see all monuments, it will take hardly three to four hours.
So you can do it easily if you manage your time properly.
And regarding the cab, I will suggest not to go for it. It will be costly. Not less than 3000 for round trip I think.
Better you check my another video on "how to reach mahabalipuram" and follow the same to complete your journey comfortably by using public transport in just 200 rupees in total including all your travel cost.

Bus no. 188 goes from Chennai till Pondicherry (via mahabalipuram). So if you are planning for a Pondicherry trip from Chennai, then also you can catch the same 188 number bus.

If time and situation permits then only I ll plan for mahabalipuram. Sir last question is bus no 188 timing you have mentioned service starts from mng 4 and within 15-20 mins interval I can get a bus. Am I right? And I think there is no need of advance booking for this bus?
Yes, from morning 4am till late night you will get bus no. 188 at an interval of 30 min approx.
And there is no online booking option available for these short route TNSTC buses. You have to take a ticket by paying cash only after boarding the bus.

Yes, near the beach attached to mahabalipuram City area you will get some shacks but they are not so happening like Goa and all. You will not get any Live music or any beach candle light dinner or any great vibe there. But the foods will be tasty in some of these shacks here. You can try good Non-Veg dishes and mainly you can try variety of fishes here..

When is the first bus from Chennai Central station to Mahabalipuram. And what is the frequency of bus. What is the timings. Ac bus fair?
What is the timing for bus from Mahabalipuram to Puducherry in afternoon?
From morning 4am till night 10 pm you will get plenty of buses at a frequency of every 30 to 40 minutes from Chennai as well as from Mahabalipuram. (Also there are few night buses to in this route)
And the AC bus timings I am not sure but you will get the AC buses after every 2 to 3 non-AC bus.
And AC bus fare will be roughly 100 rupees per adult from Chennai to Mahabalipuram.

How to reach Bangalore from Pondicherry?
For the three Destinations I will analyse the overall scenario of your plan, and suggest accordingly.
But for reaching Pondicherry to Bangalore
You have one Spicejet flight daily from Pondicherry to Bangalore at around 1:30pm daily. But it will be around 4000 rupees per head, which I think not worth.
Regarding train journey, there is a weekly train (Train no. 11006) on 26th night around 9:30pm. If you want you can go for it. It will cost around 300 for sleeper, and around 800 for AC sleeper.
But book it now itself from IRCTC of you finalize this.
And one more better option is to take late night sleeper Volvo bus from Pondy to Bangalore. If you want to go by bus then don't book any travel bus from any bus booking websites. Go to ksrtc.in and book super luxury Karnataka government AC sleeper buses from this official website. These buses are really good, on time and very very comfortable. In some regular bus booking websites you will not find ksrtc buses in the list. so you have to book it from official website. And it will cost you around 600 to 700 per head for AC sleeper seats. So it will be worth travelling by these buses.
Hope you got a travel idea from Pondy to Bangalore.

Yes Sahil, why not.
Ofcourse you can visit the beautiful beaches of Mahabalipuram without staying in Resort.
Infact it's an advantage if you have a place to stay there. Also you can ask your uncle for more details. He will be able to explain the areas better that me as he is native from that place only.
In every 50 meter distance there is narrow road connecting the ECR road to the beach. So take any one of those path and straight way drop yourself into the beach. Then take a long mesmerizing walk from Mamala Resort beach area till one or two km towards north side. it will a beautiful experience.
Don't visit from 12 to 3pm. It will be little hot and humid. You may feel not so comfortable at this time. Try early morning or evening hours. Also the restaurants of all resorts are mostly beach facing. So anytime you can jump inside any one of those restaurant for snacks or a cold sip if you feel little exhausted during the walk☺️🤗

Within two days covering all three places (in budget using public transport) and coming back to Chennai by 6pm seems tuff.
If possible you can reschedule your 6pm train or take a late night train, then it's manageable
Or else to cut short on time you may hire a cab in some place by spending some extra bucks.
But as per your plan I will suggest some Itinerary which you can try .
1. From Chennai take a early morning bus and reach mahabalipuram by 8 or 9am and complete the mahabalipuram tour by afternoon 12 or 1pm.
(Hire a local auto, which may charge you 300 to 500 rupees for showing everything in Mahabalipuram.)
2. Then from there you can reach prakshi teertham (the place is called Thirukalukundram) and it's hardly 15 km from mahabalipuram. So you can get direct bus from Mahabalipuram or take a bus to chengelpet and from chengelpet you will get lot of buses till Thirukalukundram.
3. Then by afternoon or evening finish the visit of Thirukalukundram Temple and then take a bus and reach chengelpet bus depot again.
4. Then from chengelpet take a local train or direct bus to kanchipuram which will take around 2 hours to reach from chengelpet to kanchipuram. And then book a hotel overnight in kanchipuram and stay there (don't come to central for night stay).
5. Then next day morning visit kanchipuram temple and by afternoon 1 or 2 pm again take a local train till Chennai which will take three hours approximately.
Thus you will reach Chennai before 6pm on second day and catch your train at the same time you can cover all three places in budget.

Best and easy way is to catch any night train (train no. 12658) which will reach Chennai early morning. Then take bus from Chennai to Mahabalipuram (1hour journey) as mentioned in my video. Thus by 7 to 8 am you will reach Mahabalipuram. Then explore the place till evening, then return back to Chennai by bus, and again take a return night train from Chennai to Bangalore.
Thus within one day you will be able to explore Mahabalipuram even from Bangalore. 🙂👍🏼

Tambaram to mahabalipuram bus ha
From Tambaram don't go by bus, it will get delayed.
Just take a local train from Tambaram to Chengalpattu. And outside chengalpattu railway Station there is the bus depot. From there you can get many buses to Mahabalipuram.
That's the best and fastest way to reach Mahabalipuram from from Tambaram.
Or else if you want to come by ECR road then just take local train from Tambaram till Guindy, and from Guindy you will get TNSTC bus number 188 till Pondicherry which will go via Mahabalipuram through ECR road.
THIS ROUTE WILL BE MORE FASTER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE.

May I ask you that why you need a tour package for roaming around Mahabalipuram..!?? Because it's a very small place and whatever I shown in the video, those are the only things that a tour operator will also show you (but with heavy charges).
