Singing into a pitch pipe gives us the ability to ‘produce’ more than one note at a time, while clearly hearing the relationship between those two notes. Bonus: listen for overtones and undertones produced by the difference between the two notes! Example: if your ears hear two notes at 100Hz and 105Hz, your brain will interpret a third note from the mathematical difference: 5Hz.
