I’ve been seeing sponsored post after sponsored post popping up all over social media and I am honestly shocked! The products are fine, they smell good, but the company is shady af!
@@JosyBunHi, Josy. I also do fragrance reviews here on UA-cam. But I'm only a small channel with 65 subscribers. I have ordered from a brand called HK Perfumes Version of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Called Dark Vanilla and it looks like the Oakcha bottle. Check them out because I will be the first one doing a short fragrance review on my channel. P.S. Any Advice You Can Give Me On How I Can Improve My Channel. Thanks, Steve...
I have 10 fragrances from them and 2 more coming I barely use social and these are dope I don’t know how people are saying they get scammed you order online you get Shop updates on your tracking. The fragrances are incredible and don’t give me a headache
@@BlendedBarbieDoll well I just ordered from them today and it's my 1st time trying them, apparently it's a Canadian based company and my bank gave me a fraud alert before I was able to complete purchase, they give no PayPal option to purchase so that definitely screams shady AF, I'll report back once I actually receive tracking info or delivery
@@BlendedBarbieDoll I agree. You do have to let most of them sit for a couple weeks before the longevity is there but all the Tom Ford ones are pretty spot on and tbh the Bitter Peach dupe is BETTER than the Tom Ford one.
I haven’t had to deal with their customer service but I will say the perfumes I’ve bought were spot on dupes and I’m satisfied with them. They shouldn’t do that with the bad reviews though because we rely on reviews to decide to purchase. I have three that I repeatedly purchase from them and love them
I really like Oakcha and have 8 in my collection that I have acquired over the last couple of years. They are cleaner, high perfume oil concentration, and get 90-99% close to the original from the ones I have smelled. When you get them on sales, it is a great value for your money. Oakcha changes their scents every several months and love that
Glad you enjoyed them! I liked what I purchased as well, though they’re not my absolute favorites in my small perfume collection- they’re nice for the price, and that’s what matters to most people I think. I wish I could have given them a better review because the products themselves are really not bad in my opinion! 😊
Thank you for your HONEST review! They just dropped new bottles (June 15th 2023) different colors like light pink, hot pink, white, etc. I purchased 4 fragrances from them and I do like them, a lot actually. I am a fragrance collector and I do spend quiet a bit of money on my perfumes, having these available at the price it is is nice because I can spray these instead of my expensive bottles and not feel bad and still smell really good, lol. As for customer service, I didn’t have to reach out so I really wouldn’t know. I definitely don’t like the sketchiness about the reviews being filtered, I am one who always reads reviews before purchasing anything. Not even high end designer, luxury/niche fragrances have only 5 star great reviews….so, I too call BS, which is a bummer being that they actually do have very good dupes.
Had similar experience! First 2 times I bought it was quick and easy, third and last time it took a real long time as well! It's an unfortunate because their products are great, just the delivery logistics is awful
It's so nice to see a honest review that is genuine and straight to the point rather than beating around the bush like a lot of reviewers these days. Well done Josy
Thank you for the honesty! I recently purchased some full size perfumes from them and I'm a little nervous to try them now. I've heard from several people that the projection when they first tried them was disappointing, and then I read somewhere that it's a good idea to keep the bottles in a dark place for about a week to let the perfumes develop/mature first before trying them out, because apparently they make the perfumes very quickly and that the perfume oils might not be fully matured and incorporated into the mixture when you receive them. So that is what I will do, and then I will try them. I feel like nobody should have to do that honestly, but I really rather not have to return them because I heard it's a pain in the ass.
I was too scared to order from them, I am obsessed with perfume. I have been learning how to make my own for about 2 years now. In fairness to that company, most huge designer perfumes do not put the actual ingredients on the list. Most of the time the notes are synthetic because naturals are volatile and expensive. The listed notes are just describing what it smells like. A perfume ingredients list would look like a science project. Some synthetic chemicals are actually much safer than it's natural version, but the chemical name would scare people out of buying it. Also, why would they tell you what's in it and lose money because everyone would just make their own.
I just bought love don't be shy, lost cherry, tobacco vanille and angels share. I found them to be super strong and last a really long time, I'll still smell it the next day on my clothes. They have a higher concentration of oil than most fragrance. I don't really like how they are oily when I put them on, I like how most frangances are alcohol and dissolve off. I feel like the ingredients aren't super high quality compared to other brands and the originals. I'm returning lost cherry, it smells like cherry cough syrup and some sandalwood. Angels share doesn't smell that great compared to the original. It lacks a lot of the notes and rich quality of the original. I'm returning that one too. Love don't be shy and tobacco vanille are pretty good so I'll keep those. They are ok if your in a tight budget and want something decent. For me I think I'd rather pay more to get better quality ingredients and frangances. I don't think I'll buy from them again.
Thank you so much for sharing your honest opinions on your purchase! I hate seeing people unsatisfied with the things they spent money on, but I am super happy people are leaving these detailed reviews in the comments here! Please let us know if returning goes well!
@@JosyBun Sure, no problem. They emailed me right away saying to mail it back to them and then I'll get a refund. Have to pay for shipping myself. I'll see when I actually get the money back.
Here Is my thought you are buying a cheaper version of a product that for the original you would pay 3 times the amount for . If it smells good to you and hits all the bells and whistles just like the original for me that's a win . So for me if those reviews are fake it doesn't matter as long as I was happy in the end .
Absolutely! I personally enjoy the scents I have- However because I’m publicly reviewing them and that might influence someone else, I have to be more speculative and a little harsher with the company. Lots of commenters are giving honest feedback in my comment section and it seems like tons of people actually hated the fragrances- either found them medicinal or sickly. While I enjoyed my fragrances, the reportedly bad customer service, faulty return policy, and overall really mixed feelings people have about the scents just mean I can’t recommend others buy their line on my recommendation is all! :) But personally, I like what I got- even if I might not repurchase from them again!
I wanted to leave a comment since I just viewed their website and placed an order- I can now sort reviews, and I looked at their sweven and there is one star reviews, so I'm glad they've changed it. Now you can also view their ingredients in the FAQ section of the fragrance. Thank you for making this video and highlighting their problems! I'm so glad they've fixed some of them.
A massive improvement!!! I’m so happy they’ve decided to be more forthcoming with their reviews and their ingredients! ☺️ Makes me feel better about the brand as a whole!
I recently purchased Seven from Oakcha. Such a disappointment! Not only did it not smell like Baccarat Rouge 540, it didn't smell like any perfume at all. If I had to describe it I would say medicinal, like surgical tape or a freshly opened band aid. So now that I'm looking at the company more closely you can see there are no product reviews in the last year so clearly they are being selective about reviews they allow to be posted. Shipping is also very sketchy. They send a shipping notice right away but my package wandered around for weeks up and down the east coast before it actually got to a USPS facility; once it actually got to USPS it only took a day to get to me.
@@A358M Not me. I just bought it but it was on sale (probably because it’s medicine 😩) plus Mother’s Day 20% off. Here’s hoping I will like because I love strange and unusual scents lol
That IS strange. In the past they were good about replacing a bottle, make sure to reach out! And that's sad I have Sweven and it definitely is strong, but it smells like baccarat without that open/widespread feeling, if that makes any sense. But chile, I have baccarat too, and I ain't spray it yet. The way i smell it without even opening it. I'm scared. Yana from TheScented said the same- good dupe, but probably like 85% because it's missing that feel. She has a few oakcha vids, recommending some even better dupes too.. I wouldn't discount Oakcha altogether. The good thing about them is with these prices, you can play around a lil. Their other company, Oil Perfumery is really good. (Cheaper to get a glimpse of the actual fragrance). I just wish I was consistent with rolling an oil on. I know you can pop the ball out or whatever, but ugh. Other options are mercari (I'd really only trust used bottles rather than "new, wrapped" etc. which are probably fake.) and also BR540 has their smaller bottles for $175 which look to be a decent size too. Good luck on your fragrance journey.
Mannn this is a huge relief!! I just ordered the same dupe and I was so worried because of all the other sketchy reviews and negative reviews. I can breathe now 😫
@@Connordgray yes but i also ordered the sample pack with heavens speak and that’s my absolute favorite! I think midnight nymph smells pretty similar to black opium, maybe a little stronger. I think black opium has a bit of a softer scent than this but it’s still very similar.
Dua makes poor-quality dupes that barely resemble most of their dupes. I was very disappointed. I could accept that isn't a 1-to-1 clone but what I couldn't accept is the total shit cheap quality of what's in the bottle. They smell cheap and chemical. It's almost a a scam. Lots of preblended cheap oils from the middle-east in lots of their fragrances. I do like the bottle and presentation however but that doesn't matter when you can't wear even one of the 10 fragrances I got from them. Alexandra I heard similar horror stories. Generic perfumes I had mixed bad. You could tell they used a lot cheaper ingredients than some of the expensive niche frags they copied but a few of them was decent, like a 70% match. Some just sucked big time though and were un-wearable.
OH!!! And Thank you for your honesty. It truly sucks just how dishonest people will be if they are offended kickbacks from a company. If your product is weak, then put something into it and make it stronger. I don't understand why they just don't put the time into it and make a better product instead of trying to hide negative information. I just don't understand it at all. I guess it's, get your money and run kinda thing.
I have bought from Oakcha many times and I’m not one to be impressed but they’ve never let me down. It’s all parfumerie and lasts forever. ALT is another brand I’ve tried but they don’t last and they seem more alcohol based than oil
I'm SOOO GLAD that someone finally spoke out about Oakcha perfumes...I just ordered 6 of the highest reviewed perfumes and tbh I didn't like any of them! They were definitely NOT accurate dupes for the original perfumes. I just returned all of them ( which I HAD TO PAY FOR the return shipping) I just shipped them back 2 days ago and now I'm waiting for the refund... lets see how long it takes to receive the refund.
I just bought some oakcha scents to try that dossier doesn’t carry ( black phantom, angels share etc) but I also use a fragrance primer with the “dupe” scents… seems to help tremendously with these kinds of products, if anyone is having a longevity problem
@@JosyBun i mean, you could even probably use like Vaseline or coconut oil. I buy mine from small businesses on Etsy and it really does help hold the longevity! ♥️♥️♥️ I do that and moisturize really well and I’ve noticed all my scents last a good time now ♥️
I just bought some used. I just went on and I was able to sort. There were much less negatives than positives. However, my designer fragrances do not show the list of fragrances tho.
That’s really good to know that at least some negative reviews are shown now, I still can’t sort them on their desktop site but maybe the mobile version is different! Either way I’m glad it looks like they’re representing themselves a little more honestly. My designer ones don’t list the ingredients on the packaging- however if you google them they should come up! Usually these results are pulled off of websites like Sephora or Ulta, but sometimes the fragrances own website will list it!
So I got two fragrances from them , they took a while to ship which I wasn’t too upset just because I typically wait a while for my packages. I got them and all the ones I got smelled Incredible. All I wanted is a good perfume that last and yes the ones I had delivered! The only issue I have is when it drys on you skin it get weird and tacky , it’s not much of an issue for me but if someone had seonsory issues they would probably have issues with it
I noticed the “tackiness” too. It’s a heavy oil concentration and it really does take a long time to absorb if you spray too much in one area. Also the atomizers on mine spray so much out that I can only spray once on any given pulse point. The way I’ve found around the tackiness is try to spray farther away then you normally would and try not press super hard all the way down on the atomizer. Misting an area rather than more so coating it seems to work better for these.
I had the same experience with them. Bought several, was very disappointed by projection and longevity of the smell, especially in comparison with original they clone, wrote several not 5 stars reviews and neither one got posted. I contacted them about that and never heard back. Enough for me to consider it a scam and never bother with them again. You don't pay less for a quality product as they claim it, you rather waste your money for something you could save for a real thing.
This product is incredibly disappointing on a galactic scale. I wasted 40.00 dollars what I thought was a legitimate claim and offer....never ever again....save for original fragrance....you save in the end!!! My name is Rad and I erroneously purchased Sweven. It sucks!
What do you expect though? It's a dupe, of course it's not going to have the same exact projection and longevity, you're paying 35 dollars over 100+. It's an impression offered at a lower price. You guys want the exact same quality and scent for a fraction of the cost, that's copyright infringement. You're not going to get Baccarat Rouge in a different bottle.
This is all true, but I didn’t even get 15 mins out of their Baccarat Extrait dupe. I’ve bought $15 Bath and Body Works sprays that last longer than that. For $50 I would expect to get a least a couple hours of wear.
I recently took advantage of their “Buy Four, get a fifth free” deal, including their black Friday special. Overall, I was happy with all of their scents except one: “Dream Fuel.” It had a fragrance that reminded me of a crisp citrus version of Bounce dryer sheets. It’s not that it’s bad, but it feels more suited for a summer spray or something you’d use at the gym.
Thank you for review. Unfortunately alot of reviews are fake, or they only publish good ones. Have you heard of Korres perfumes? They are all almost 90% naturally derived so I dont get migraines from when I wear their White Tea. But they have some deeper ones like Midnight Dalia, Black Sugar, and Vanilla & Freesia which are stunning.
You’re welcome!! I’m seriously so disappointed! I actually really liked the fragrances from them, but like the REAL reviews on third party sites make it impossible to recommend them. They need to do better. If they actually posted honest reviews and ingredients lists and improved their customer service, I’d have no issue singing the praises of their products but…unfortunately their consumer ethics just aren’t there! I see so many tiktoks about their stuff too and it makes me wonder if those are secretly sponsored 👀 The Korres perfumes sound delightful!! I’ll have to check those out, those fragrances you listed sound amazing!!!
@@JosyBun Though Korres perfumes are not dupes; The Midnight Dahlia smells like Valentino Born in Roma. Black Sugar smells like Prada Canda x Pink Sugar. The Vanilla Freesia smells like Flowerbomb xtreme. I have found that fragrances that are mostly synthetic notes give me migraines. But fragarances that are at least half natural (50%) do not give me a migraine. Currently I wear LOCCITAINE Cherry Blossom and let me tell you it is beyond gorgeous and the ingredients are superb. But given you too have migraines, Korres may be a house for you to consider. Sad though that the perfume you bought has such fishy practices. This is why i am sick of department store cosmetics and fragrances. They are not transparent.
I love Oakcha. I have five perfumes from them and they last on me!

They must've since listened to your review! They have several one and two star reviews for several fragrances as of now. I am still waiting for my shipment I placed a few days ago from both Oakcha and Oil Perfumery. I am hopeful that the fragrances are good, but if not it'll be a cheaper lesson than the original's price. Unlike Amazon where fragrances are non-returnable. As for as the websites being the same for Oakcha and OP, there are a lot of sister companies that have the same platform for the different website, i.e. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity websites look the same. 🙂
I'm super disappointed that you didn't review the perfume itself that you wore as far as give us an in-depth breakdown after having worn it of what you thought. I mean thanks for telling us about the website but there was plenty of good reviews so we might still want to order it. how did it perform?!?!?!?
It was decent enough! I mention in the video I liked the products I purchased, and I still do! In my opinion, it’s similar to the original, much milder and doesn’t last quite as long. You’d definitely need to reapply these to maintain the fragrance throughout a whole work day. But for the price that’s expected in my opinion! A lot of others have noted they think the perfumes smell medicinal, which I did not experience but many have stated that, and many also say they don’t think it compares to the original, so it seems the perfumes are extremely hit or miss.
I got a decant of Sorcery from Oakcha. It’s one of their originals. Anyways, I LOVE it and I just bought a full bottle. 🙈🙊 They have a Mother’s Day sale on and I’m getting a free bottle of a “mystery scent.” sorcery last forever on me and I don’t like perfumes that last that long! I like to switch it up during the day! Also, I have some from Alexandria and I hated them at first but I let them sit for a months and they improved immensely!!
I love that you did all the background research! Thank you for the review! Would you compare other Oakcha products to their Inspirations? That would be awesome!
If I ever return to youtube! I have a full time career now and have moved from where all my old videos are recorded so I actually haven’t had the time to make any content ❤️ Thank you for your comment though! I appreciate everyone who leaves me kind words :)
Thank for showing your experience. I Really enjoy Oakcha! (Not sponsored, but damn- can y'all? 😆). I have about 12 bottles. I liiike. My experience with customer service was fine. I showed them pictures of a dented & chipped bottle, as well as letting them know my fragrance smelled like nothingness/bad batch, and they sent a second bottle right away. Overall, they've been good. I wish there were more video reviews out there. I feel like even though they're always marketing, not that many know about them. I didn't find out about them until i looked for a dupe of baccarat and saw that Oakcha was highly regarded by scent youtubers. Some of them can seem a little similar, but i think letting them settle helps a lot. Aside from wishing they came in 2 business days 😅, they're solid.
I’ve honestly really liked dealing with oakcha so far but I’m only 2 orders in (5 fragrances) so that could still change. I ordered their dupe of green Irish tweed because I tried the OG from scentdecant and really loved the profile but the performance was so bad (like two hours on my skin tops) I just couldn’t justify spending hundreds on it. Im so happy I decided to order from them. The oakcha is slightly mintier and stronger than the OG green tweed but very similar, maybe 90%, but performance of the oakcha is INSANE. I’ve kind of been in disbelief by how long it lasts especially if it lands on clothes. My best performing fragrance for sure the next probably being sauvage elixir. I also love the dupe of Bleu le parfum. Smells exactly like the original I have and lasts a bit longer. The others were good for the price, nothing too crazy or special but I do think the quality and performance of all the fragrances are very nice. Maybe it’s just because I’ve ordered more masculine fragrances? I’m not sure. I’m waiting on their peach rings from their candy collection which is unisex so I’ll get to see how the performance is on a less gender specific scent. Picked it over their dupe of bitter peach by TF because the profile seemed it might suit me better although I have a feeling I’ll wind up giving it to a female family member anyway lol. Also on the negative reviews end. I don’t know if it’s a recent change but I actually have seen a lot of their fragrances get average to bad overall reviews with no words minced. Even their “popular” ones have some but I do think it’s funny that EVERY single dupe of they have of super popular fragrances have the same overall rating. My best advice I can give is always look elsewhere for reviews of a fragrance, or really anything for that matter, that you’re interested in buying online regardless of what’s shown on the manufacturers website. Overall I think oakcha is a place where you can find some nice scents for a decent price, I don’t think I’ll wind up being one of the super fans with the whole line up but I’m glad I was able to get a couple of solid fragrances from there. Oh and for any guys, or women I suppose, wondering the name of oackhas dupe of creed with the crazy longevity it’s called “recharged”
I definitely liked the fragrances I got, but everything else is irking me out of giving them a passing review! I hope you love everything you bought! :)
A while back I ran across duplicate good reviews on certain items. When I posted a question to ask them about it I never got a response, and when I went to look again I couldn't find them. It's a shame too cause I liked some of their fragrances.
I ordered from their site this past Monday after saying they will wait up to THREE DAYS to process orders and ship them, hoping to receive the bottle for giving as a gift on xmas. Well, i waited for four days and then emailed the company to ask if the item would ship soon and what day they might expect to do that. That was 2 days ago now and i haven't heard a thing back from them. No confirmation of shipping, nothing. My order has not been processes or shipped, but they took my money already. With most companies, you don't pay anything until the product ships, so now I'm wondering if I'm going to even get my order at all now. Very pissed with their sucky customer service - or LACK of.
I wish I had seen this before I purchased 3 sucky perfumes from Oakcha, which I will never be able to return because they don’t ever reply to my emails. Customer service sucks and their perfumes are cheap. The Paul react perfumes are one example of them being overhyped but make you smell like a sweaty armpit.
I bought 3 bottles that i really don't like at all. It says they have easy returns, but they are not answering my emails either. I'd be interested to know if you ever got to return yours.
If they don’t honour their return policy, do a bank chargeback. The bank will claw back the money you paid the company and give it back to you, and will additionally charge the company a fee of maybe $50. Should be done as a last resort though. All the best.
Oh no! I hope you love your products- to be 100% honest I really liked the fragrances I got. I think it compared well to the original, and as someone sensitive to fragrances, it doesn’t trigger my migraines! The practices the company uses make it inexcusable for me to recommend purchasing from them, however I actually liked what I got and hope you do to!
@@JosyBun thanks for sharing your research and being honest! Even if I like the fragrance, i will not buy from them again cause i dont want to encourage their dishonest practice and lack of transparency. So thank you for the video 😊
I don’t know if love in Rome has to sit for a bit, but it smelled 88-90% similar. But fake/cheap smelling. It smelled too young for me regardless, so I gave it away.
Hi. I really enjoyed your review. It made me reconsider my purchase and probably saved me money and a headache. Btw, i didn't see the link for the Instagram denim video. Which one is it? I'd like to watch that one as well.
They do list the ingredients on the description page under FAQ tab and you can now sort the ratings… not sure if this helps🤷🏻♀️. I’m really interested in ordering Parallel and Body scent, both of which are supposed to be molecular type fragrances (JHAG not a perfume and Molecule 01). Anyone have any input? I’m on the fence with ordering😬
I LOVE Oakcha’s fragrances. They are phenomenal & last for weeks on clothing. I always spray a shirt hanging in my closet with a fragrance to get a sense of the longevity. I will say that Oakcha does not have the best customer service what so ever lol but honestly I will continue putcsning from them because it’s phenomenal quality at an affordable price. Now if they can create a fragrance that’s inspired by Thierry Mugler’s Alien…omg I would be in HEAVEN. I’m left handed too, love!!! ♥️
That’s amazing! :) I like the ones I have just fine, personally I’m on a spending ban, so can’t really say I’d purchase again. But I’m glad to see some people are happy with their purchases! Hopefully every order goes well and you never have to deal with their customer service agents haha 💕 And hello fellow Lefty!! :)
@@JosyBun hi lovely!!! I have to ask you this as a fellow lefty!!! Lol but although I’m left handed, I do EVERYTHING with my right hand. I do absolutely everything with my right hand other than eating & writing. I even chop vegetables with my right hand, like I physically cannot do it with my left hand, it’s the strangest thing to me. Have you experienced this? Lol
I have! I used to do most things right handed in school because the supplies were all right-hand only, so I got good at using scissors and instinctively I tend to open doors with my right hand. But these days I can comfortably use either hand for most tasks besides writing! Strictly left for writing! 😂
Here's my honest review: I just received Orphic (BR540 extrait dupe) I've worn the og a few times, I don't know it well enough to say from memory if it smells exactly the same, and. I've only been wearing it for an hour, so can't speak yet to longevity, but the deliver and packaging was great and it smells friggin beautiful!!!! I agree, the reviews are suspicious. I don't like that - but I'm super psyched right now I didn't spend $450 for the original. :)
thanks for saving me some money. anytime a company has nothing but 5(or 4) stars and nothing else im immediately like NO. cause that’s a huge red flag and even if the product is great, a company willing to hide any comments less then stellar to me screams I can’t trust the company
Company ethics wise, they seem decent enough with a solid return policy! I like that they come with a sample size so you can return the full bottle if you want to. The bottle design is minimal and clean, I like the magnetic caps. Fragrances I’ve tried from them have been “ehh”. I like them enough to use them, but they’ve got this sort of powdery smell that lingers behind all the main notes. It could just be my bodies chemistry, so I won’t fault the company as a whole for that! I likely wouldn’t repurchase from them until I hear they reformulate because of that powdery quality, but I will finish the three bottles I have!
I bought like 9 fragrances from them. Their shipment takes forever, their customer service sucks. But all the fragrances were spot on, long lasting and I love them.
There are a lot of paid/free samples reviewers here on youtube in the shill-game. I lost a lot of respect for a lot of previously respectable frag-youtubers for their shilling of Dua in particular. I learned a very valuable and expensive lesson.
I’m definitely not a fragrance expert and never would claim to be! I just was super suspicious, especially having witnessed the beauty community go through tons of un-disclosed sponsorships years ago, that it was happening again in the fragrance world. I totally understand wanting to spend less money on fragrances, especially on the onset of a recession. I also get doing sponsored content- but not disclosing that and also lying on your website just really gets me mad so I had to call it out! I’m sorry it seems like you had to learn with your wallet, I hope you’re in a better spot now!
Yea I bought praise the perfume and it was a little off. I Also got the virgin island water dupe and it was not at all similar, it smelled like lemon cleaner
@Josy Bun yea I have to in the next couple days, but I don't think I'm gonna try anything else from them, unfortunately... they just both had this citrus smell that I couldn't get past
I can say that their customer service is still terrible. I bought quite a few fragrances from them and most of them smelled super polarizing in a bad way and one was the wrong fragrance. I emailed them and they sent me a $35 gift card and if I wanted to return anything, it would cost a ton of money because there isn’t a return label. Total waste of money.
Yikes! Can’t stand when a brand sends a gift card when theres a complaint about the product. Good brands stand behind their product even in the face of returns! That sucks to hear, I’m sorry that happened to you!
I want to preface that, I do like the company, and some of the dupes are very good fragrances. However, I can attest to the review portion, they still haven’t posted my 1 star Forbidden Grass (it smelled putrid, like rubber & weed lol) review, from like 1-2 months ago. I think they don’t approve many of their negative reviews. That’s very unethical, and I don’t enjoy no ingredients clearly listed on the packaging. Do better Oakcha.
I guess it depends on the content of your messages! If its return/refund related, I’d skip them and go right to your bank or CC company to do a charge back. If it’s general inquiries, I’d start tagging them or posting comments on their public profiles instead of repeatedly emailing or DMing them, but I haven’t personally ever talked to anyone from Oakcha so honestly other than that, I don’t have any tips or tricks. I hope they respond to you soon!
I’m trying to find a dupe for Gypsy water and I’ve seen videos on oakchas dupe but I had reservations since it’s owned with Oil perfumery (another perfume dupe company). I got the $20 GW dupe after looking at the reviews on oil perfumery and I’m not a fan thus far. Very sweet and powdery. I don’t want to spend an extra $40 bucks to get the same result from Oakcha.
I should have should have done more research. I ordered from them and it looks like they already packed my perfume but hasn't updated in days...also just checked my bank amd they charged me foreign fees when this company is supposedly in NY?!?! I will reach out to my bank for clarity...
Omg, I saw this perfume in social media and they are all over. So I went ahead and bought samples of about 10 small samples and they smell horrible. I can't stand the smell and havent finished trying them all. They smell like medicines.
Haha, medicines! I’m glad none of mine smelled like that 😂 I hope you didn’t spend too much on the samples! I had to make a video because I was seeing them a little too frequently on social media too 👀
It is too high. Even Great perfumes get bad reviews because it doesnt appeal to everyones nose. For example Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio has a 4.1 on fragrantica.
they selling at 60(55+tax) a 30ml bottle, I mean its not a replica price point, acqua di parma at full price is about so, sure bitter peach is 200+ but thats not that much cheaper, Im tired of all this bs expensive replica
Every oakcha perfume I ordered (I got 8) have some horrible smell to every. Single. One. 6 of them have the same wierd undercurrent of a scent and the other two have a sharp strange smell. The only one that’s ok is only ok after washing it off or smelling from a far distance and quickly 😂. Nope. I’m the whole brand is a fail.
These male colognes Odin and Moira are way too feminine for me, they're very sweet and not masculine at all. I mainly got compliments from dudes at the gym and one older lady 🤣 I wasted my money.
Ah, shame to hear that! I tend to like more masculine fragrances myself, anything with wood, tobacco, bourbon or leather notes is usually a favorite of mine. I think more masculine notes have to be a bit better quality, cheaper ones sometimes smell a bit sour to me- I think sweeter fragrances must be easier to make cheaply. You could always gift it to someone else, if you can’t return it! :) At least then it goes to good use!
This is the first perfume review that i have seen that is reviewing the company's reviews and not about the product and YOUR experience with the company. If i came here for a website management review, i get it, but how can you fail the perfume when you say you personally had a nice experience and you liked the product. A lot of time, smaller companies actually hire outside companies to build and manage their website, so to be honest, i feel like this review is a bit lame. I am glad you liked the product though, because i just listened to a 22 minute website review to hear you spend about 2 minutes actually reviewing the product. If you are going to be a perfume reviewer, do better.
Don't be fooled by what you see. I have tried two fragrances from this company and personally I WOULD NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. There are much better clone fragrances out there at much cheaper prices that last soooooooo much longer as far as lasting power. Anyway, hope all is well with ALL of you and hope you have a beautiful day. Be well.
I honestly don’t like any of their scents. I gave one I think seven to my mom and my dad wore it thinking it was one of his colognes as I did not like it. We had to go to a funeral an hour away and I was so annoyed that my dad put it on. Annoying smell and all the other 3 others I got smells bad. So if they are comparing to highend. Highend needs to change their scents. Really bad. Sorry honesy review
You are NOT lying!!! I've left a few and asked questions no answer!!! The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I love all the fragrances I've purchased. Oil perfumery is amazing to me but I've never seen any reviews on their page! I agree with you though. Nice video!
I am so sorry that’s been your experience!! I was appalled doing the background research and couldn’t even finish the review properly 😬 I was shocked a company would do this and be on the come up, because I feel like reviews are such an important part of brand transparency and credibility is so easy to destroy! I’ve genuinely liked the fragrances, but the customer service and the review thing is reputation shattering!
@@JosyBun Absolutely!!! So true. I agree with you 100% I'm glad I was able to come across your video. You did a great job! I also think it's so weird how they still haven't added PayPal as a method of payment. That bothers me.
thank God dude i've been looking for an honest review of this place for like 20 minutes now, by someone not trying to get that affiliate link money
I have 10 fragrances from them and 2 more coming
I barely use social and these are dope
I don’t know how people are saying they get scammed you order online you get Shop updates on your tracking.
I have three that I repeatedly purchase from them and love them
I agree! I’m glad you found some products that work for you! :)
Literally I tried to leave a bad review because my order hadn’t shipped out in over a month and their website didn’t let me 💀
Otherwise I typically enjoy the brand
A MONTH? Yikes!! I am not surprised they didn’t post that one. mine was at my door in like a week.
Good to know they’re consistently inconsistent 😂
Post a review to Google. I've had to do that for another fragrance company.
Had similar experience! First 2 times I bought it was quick and easy, third and last time it took a real long time as well! It's an unfortunate because their products are great, just the delivery logistics is awful
Sheesh my orders always get sent out the same day or the next day
It's so nice to see a honest review that is genuine and straight to the point rather than beating around the bush like a lot of reviewers these days. Well done Josy
Thanks! I tend to ramble, so I don’t know if I’m really straight to the point, but I like to be thorough 😂
I pride myself on my honesty, though!
🎯
Torrid day & sweet duchess lasted 7 hours with above average projection. Lot of compliments
That is so strange omg. I hope you were able to get a refund, that sounds so bothersome!
I thought it was only me that thought it smelled medicinal
Thank you,you just saved me money from purchasing. ❤
I can breathe now 😫
Are you happy with it?
@@Connordgray yes but i also ordered the sample pack with heavens speak and that’s my absolute favorite! I think midnight nymph smells pretty similar to black opium, maybe a little stronger. I think black opium has a bit of a softer scent than this but it’s still very similar.
I’m disappointed with my purchase, the perfumes smelled great however it didn’t last more than 45 mins to an hour
They have since posted their ingredients on their website. Thanks for the review, I ordered and I hope I don’t have a problem
Thanks for the video. I am sticking with Alexandria Fragrances and Dua - both companies made solid fragrances. They are more expensive, however.
I’ve never heard of that!! I’ll have to look into that primer :)
@@JosyBun i mean, you could even probably use like Vaseline or coconut oil. I buy mine from small businesses on Etsy and it really does help hold the longevity! ♥️♥️♥️ I do that and moisturize really well and I’ve noticed all my scents last a good time now ♥️
@@jenzerr8856 I use coconut oil and vaseline as well it definitely helps make it last longer
Thank you for this! I bought the Baccarat Extrait dupe and I could not get even 15 mins out of it. I’m going to have to give primer a try!
I see so many tiktoks about their stuff too and it makes me wonder if those are secretly sponsored 👀
The Korres perfumes sound delightful!!
@@JosyBun thank you for replying
Of course! :)
I got a decant of Sorcery from Oakcha. It’s one of their originals. Anyways, I LOVE it and I just bought a full bottle. 🙈🙊 They have a Mother’s Day sale on and I’m getting a free bottle of a “mystery scent.”
sorcery last forever on me and I don’t like perfumes that last that long!
I have a full time career now and have moved from where all my old videos are recorded so I actually haven’t had the time to make any content ❤️
Thank you for your comment though!
I appreciate your review! I just made some purchases from Oakcha just because I wanted to go with a quality dupe.
I definitely liked the fragrances I got, but everything else is irking me out of giving them a passing review! I hope you love everything you bought! :)
I love the section where you dissect what their shady business practices are, it’s rare to see things like that :))
more money on the otherside
Oh no, wish i saw your video before my purchase! The perfume is now on its way 🏠 🥴 im scared about the ingredients now. Hope they’re not too bad 🥴
What did you end up thinking if the perfumes you purchased? And which ones did you get?
Ugh this might have sold me. I really want love in rome and Nebulla but I am nervous.
I have an oakcha sampler on the way. Thanks for the review info.
They do list the ingredients on the description page under FAQ tab and you can now sort the ratings… not sure if
this helps🤷🏻♀️. I’m really interested in ordering Parallel and Body scent, both of which are supposed to be molecular type fragrances (JHAG not a perfume and Molecule 01). Anyone have any input? I’m on the fence with ordering😬
Glad they’ve made some changes to their website!
Hopefully every order goes well and you never have to deal with their customer service agents haha 💕
And hello fellow Lefty!!

I am about to purchase their Seven skies which is supposed to be an Alien dupe.. I can report back if you haven’t tried that one!
I am so glad I'm a review Queen. LOL. Thank you!! ❤️
Your welcome!! I’m glad it helped! 🥰
thanks for saving me some money. anytime a company has nothing but 5(or 4) stars and nothing else im immediately like NO. cause that’s a huge red flag and even if the product is great, a company willing to hide any comments less then stellar to me screams I can’t trust the company
Agree!! :) Glad I could help you out!
This was very interesting and making me think lol I wonder how you feel about Dossier??
Any company that aggressively pushes ads the way they do has got to come with a catch. I don't trust them and this furthers that belief
I bought like 9 fragrances from them. Their shipment takes forever, their customer service sucks. But all the fragrances were spot on, long lasting and I love them.
I have several Oakcha products and I have no compliants. I made purchases based on UA-cam
You get what you pay for . If something is to good to be true it normally is .
I agree! Some things are overpriced and overhyped but generally paying a little extra means a better product or service :)
Lemon cleaner? Yikes! That’s awful 😅 I’m so sorry you experienced that! Were you able to return them?
Yep, I gave a semi critical review and they didn't post it. I was going back to update to discuss how I liked it as a layer.. taken down.
I love them, sweet addict is awesome. Hated lost cherry dupe but theyve been consistent 🤷🏼♀️
I've been trying to get them to answer my messages, but so far no go. Any advice?❤
In fairness to the reviews, they could be based upon when sale/discount code times, why they’re dropped down around the same time 🤷🏻♀️🤔
Thanks for this video! I was deciding between this and dossier.
Powdery is a good word for some of their fragrances! It’s very odd and somewhat off-putting and usually develops as you wear it, I find!
I should have should have done more research. I ordered from them and it looks like they already packed my perfume but hasn't updated in days...also just checked my bank amd they charged me foreign fees when this company is supposedly in NY?!?! I will reach out to my bank for clarity...
Yeah dossier don’t last on me at all I’m a big Oakcha fan everything I purchase hit right on the nose and Oakcha brand last longer on me
I will say they did have pretty decent staying power! They last about half a day on me, which I don’t mind!
I had to make a video because I was seeing them a little too frequently on social media too 👀
Beautiful packaging but the fragrance doesn’t last very long
It is too high. Even Great perfumes get bad reviews because it doesnt appeal to everyones nose. For example Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio has a 4.1 on fragrantica.
I bought one perfume from them and liked it. I've never smelled the original though.
Great review! But, honest question… why do UA-camrs talk like news anchors?
Yeaaaaa im not a fan of this perfume... the packaging is beautiful but the smell is not worth it
I’m so glad people can and are leaving their honest reviews in my comments. Super important for others to see!
Shipping is too long
I just bought PRAISE THE PERFUME AND SWEET ADDICT. They smells awful.
Thanks for the honesty!
♥
You’re so welcome! ❤️
Save your money and buy real ones. Costco have good prices on some brands. I am glad I watched your video. Thank you.
I just buy one from them!! Let’s hope i get a good experience.. 😭😭 why i didn’t see this video before 😖😫
@@angelygrullon8817 I’ve heard from some comments they’ve improved! I hope you love it when it arrives!
Never had an issue with them or their fragrances.
She starts spraying at 6:53 don't waste your time
they selling at 60(55+tax) a 30ml bottle, I mean its not a replica price point, acqua di parma at full price is about so, sure bitter peach is 200+ but thats not that much cheaper, Im tired of all this bs expensive replica
I love this brand I've never had a problem
Glad to hear it!
Same here, only one fragrance I didn't like. But that was my personal taste.
Most excellent review! Keep em coming!
Be well.
Can you name some of them please? TIA
Like?
Stick with samplers, but the mail service is slllooowwwww.
Truly beauty does the same thing
I’ve never heard of that company, but it seems like this practice is becoming more common place- unfortunately!
Ty
I honestly don’t like any of their scents. I gave one I think seven to my mom and my dad wore it thinking it was one of his colognes as I did not like it. We had to go to a funeral an hour away and I was so annoyed that my dad put it on. Annoying smell and all the other 3 others I got smells bad. So if they are comparing to highend. Highend needs to change their scents. Really bad. Sorry honesy review
Lots of people have had that same experience! Glad you could share yours with us here in the comments! :)
90$ lost. pure garbage. smells terrible.
Oil Perfumery is Oakcha.
@@samiyahparen8407 customer service experience is day and night in my opinion.
