I work for a sc dealer. They just release bikes when they feel like it... similar to how they answer their phones. I would expect them to release a new one around 2022, but they will update the 5010 far before that.
Hi. I tested a Santa Cruz Blur in L and it fits fine to me, a little bit small, but it fits. My dealer ordered it in XL for me. I am 183cm and not 185cm as recommended by Santa Cruz. Can I make a big mistake if I take it in XL?
@@carlingas666 Thank you for your answer. Yesterday my dealer said to me the xl i can ride without spacers and it will fit better to me. I testet a specialized epic evo in L and XL. The XL fits much better for me. Not the same bike, but at the specialized homepage is my size normally L.
Just a little point. There are 3 (of 196) countries in the world that still cling retrogressively onto Imperial measurements. You are on a global platform; please provide Metric measurements as well. I'm sick of having to stop the video and Google EVERYTIME!
EatRideGrow American made sport. America bike company. Standard measurement sorry bro get google on speed dial or learn to convert in your head like all bike shop employees do all day.
But there are already so many other important things in the world to learn rather than this useless shit! cdn.zmescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/imperial_vs__metric_by_nekit1234007-d5p0ou5.png Also did America invent measuring things....? eh, neh
Wikipedia reckons there are 275 million French speakers worldwide, so no, probably not just you ;) As far as I know, it's just North Americans that say "nitch"
A) I can pedal slower than that. B) We have hills in my area that dictate that speed. C) I don't want to have to shift through 8-12 gears to get to my 'granny', with a triple I can 1-click to the granny. When you ride mountains, extreme grade changes happen all the time.
Running a triple or even a double front ring presents all sorts of problems in designing a suspension platform, so most manufacturers, SC included, have completely dropped it from their line, especially with the advent of SRAM Eagle. You should try out Eagle before you knock it- I live in Utah and often climb 3000ft + and it performs brilliantly. Dropping gears is no problem, as you can downshift three at a time before a sudden incline.
Good suspension designs have been around for 20 years, all with triples. 1x is just and excuse to be lazy by the designers. Oh, know how I know 1x is a joke? When it came out is was 1x10, then 1x11, now 1x12. And the back ring keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Soon you'll see 1x18 with a 60 in the back. Because there are not enough gears for the average rider. It's stupid.
I routinely pass people pushing their 1x bikes on hills, they are that steep where I live. I also pass them on the downhills (open single track, fire roads) as I have a 46 up front. I beat them on both ends. And I keep my drivetrain in good order, can't remember the last time I dropped a chain.
best looking XC rig on the market!
29 for life
Any idea if Santa Cruz will bring a new Blur model any time soon? How frequent does Santa Cruz update their models? 3-4 years?

Jacob Richardson this comment has aged well!
Does the Blur compete with any other xc thoroughbred? It will be really cool to see Santa Cruz racing in the world cups.
It seems to have the same spects as a specialized epic. It would be sweet if they started an XC team
TheIcelizard82 that's what I'm hoping for

It's pronounced "Nietzsche"
Its most definitely neesh
