Why did you drill the intake to hook your vacuum advance to "manifold vacuum"? Vacuum advance is suppose to be hooked up on "port vacuum" Why are you running vacuum advance anyways? I will have to watch the Horse Power build/dyno but im pretty sure the ran mechanical advance and locked it out. your 427 is gonna run like shit with vacuum advance.
I’m freaking flabbergasted right now a this dood. That wing should have come off. He could have ordered a carbon fiber wing for $200-$2,500. He could have MADE one with $100 in material including the carbon fiber mat and weave.

Now there are more like $5k to $10k. Even 3rd gen camaros are getting dumb expensive. I’ve seen more then a few IROC/ Z28s for $10k to $25k. Mustangs are much better. They are $4k to $15k depending on body style and engine. The convertibles are a little cheaper. Of course there are crappy ones they you have to tow out that are rotted or half of it is missing. They are $2k-$3k.
Agreed, the 80’s cars are getting recognized now as an investment. But only clean examples and special editions for now. You can still buy Regals, Monte Carlos, and Cutlasses. The Mustangs are good because it’s prior to fuel injection and people steer clear of them for that reason
I'm happy to see you recommending the aluminum reinforced filler. I am very happy with the USC All-Metal. It stays flexible so it doesn't seem to crack.

The 1979 Cobra did not carry the rear spoiler. The 79 Pace Car and the 80-81 Cobra's along with 82-83 GT's did. Awesome job on the Cobra! Keep up the great videos guys!
@@86whitepony They are hard to find as replacement pieces bur they weren't rare for the car. Any 79-85 hatch could have one. My 81 2.3 base had one factory. It's actually harder to find a car without one.

Is the added spoiler not going to work as air brake slowing the car? Love the style of the mustang though On the Buick keep thinking the vents would look better the other way around so the slant follows the arch
I find it weird I owned both these cars! The Buick Regal was my first car. It was a hand me down from my parents but I did take great care of the car. The very next car was a Foxbody Mustang.
@@primer50 they were only produced on cobra and pace cars from 79-81, and on the gts from 82-83. thats why they are rare, you do know they bring like 400ish on ebay for the full spoiler?
I would take the tailights and mask off the "flat vertical" part of the lenses and paint the exposed parts in between each vertical lense satin or semigloss black, giving the black out look to them wothout tintung them. I've not seen ANY done like this amd its not hard to do for a very unique look for small $$$.
And even if you would drill it on top of an engine, why not use a vacuum cleaner inside the intake instead of paper towels? If you take those out wrong you are screwed (padumts) just as much as when you don't use them at all. With a vacuum cleaner behind it I can guarantee that 95% of the shavings are gone before hitting the insides, and the other 5% can be sucked out as well. But yeah, why not take the intake off. That is a one man job
18:54 Is that just me or is the welder setup wrong? Your weld, however long it is, is not continuous, it is faltering. Resulting in almost no extra strength and mostly just a waste of time. So either you are going to fast for the cord speed, or the voltage/amperage is wrong. Can anyone agree or disagree, please let me know.

It's not a rare option and it isn't functional. The factory 3piece and one piece spoilers actually sit too low to provide any function.

When puting nutserts aka rivnuts into fiberglass or plastic dab some appropriate glue around them first .
I've never called them " rivnuts " I like that and I will be using that from now on😊
I've been calling then Riv-Nuts for 20yrs now...
