@@DylanSHU They would not be coming as squad players! Swansea’s captain and Norwich’s player of the year. They would be expensive deals. There will be no more of those until the takeover or substantial player sale. Just frees and out of contract until then.
Some good info and stats about possible incomings. As you are, I'm quite excited by the prospect of Cooper. Potentially a number 1 for years to come. Seems to have nothing but positive comments about him. When we look at what we currently have (Davies is an able understudy. Grbic looks devoid of confidence and so rigid that he looks uncomfortable at all times. makes Robin Olsen look amazing) then we should push the boat out for him. Dozell looked steady against Chezzie and maybe a decent option as a backup midfielder. Grimes/McClean would add some quality to the midfield if we, as expected lose Vini Souza. Blaster and Hamer should be guaranteed starters. Dummett would add experience and could be the kind of signing that Jake Wright was. Ritchie again adds experience and if the wages are right then would be a decent addition. Will be interesting to see who we look to replace Bogle with.
I would also prefer Sam johnstone from Palace over Cooper on a loan with obligation to buy if we go up. He's experienced in the championship. I can't see him getting ahead of Dean Henderson now. He's fit.
Because potentially, Hamer could be released in the summer - he has a sell on clause. Hoping that does not happen - he's one of our biggest assets right now.
@@stephenjm yeah I understand your reasoning, at the same time we could likely get him on a years contract. Like others have said it’s hard to sell a club to squad players when you can’t garuntee them first team footy or big wages. Think sometimes we have to accept the aged experienced players to prop up the squad, I believe he can probably still do a decent job when needed but he would only be a squad player.
I like the idea of Matt Richie, tbh he's got good experience for the squad, potentially captain material. For a season or 2, a much better option than dummett.

Experienced cover we need squad players and he is good enough without a huge contract or risk.
I wouldn't take dumett, tbh he's ageing now, and I know we need experience, but he's not for me.
