    Looks so delicious, and for us fennel fans, the vegetable selection is perfect.

    Looks delicious, I love Alaskan Halibut compared to here in California, (I swear there is a difference). This reminds me of two different recipes, one en papillote, or when Julia Child had you cut the buttered parchment paper to fit the dish and lay directly on top. This may be a better version. Thanks Christine, looks beautiful and I'm definitely going to give it a try. Thank you!

    Funny you should ask what's going on in my kitchen. I made your Moussaka last week and (I'm not overstating this) it was a *showstopper!* One of my very favorite things I've made lately. Thank you!

      It's so great to hear that. It really checks every comfort food box but at the same time feels quite special. I'm glad you felt the result was worth the mess . Thank you

    Great recipe, fennel and seafood are best friends in food. In one of your upcoming food videos, please show us a recipe for Acqua Pazza (Fish in Crazy Water).

      Thank you for getting it ! Well , I happen to have a great take on fish in Aqua Pazza that I will have to make for you. It is unconventional but people do crazy when I make it for them.

    Hey lemon girl, I was wondering, do you ever use ground coriander, (in addition to zest and juice), to get another level of "lemoness" when cooking fish?
    and when cooking Chinese food, do you ever substitute lemon juice for rice wine vinegar?

    • @ChristineCushing
      @ChristineCushing  Рік тому

      haha ! That is a really good question . I do use coriander seeds , often as a crust . When doing anything Chinese/ Asian, I will never use a lemon. It's funny but it just doesn't work. I would go for rice wine vinegar or if doing south east Asian chose the lime. Thank you

    Can’t wait to try this. I live in Colorado- so finding really fresh fish is a challenge. Seems worth the wait though. I adore fennel in so many things. Thanks

      You will love it this , so i do hope you try it. If you cannot find halibut, cod ( although it will release more moisture), grouper would be good alternatives.

    like this recipe because I like cooking for my friends (hate cooking for myself!)
    two of my friends are vegetarians but eat fish (not sure what that is called LoL) but he it allergic to tomatoes!
    I always use red bell peppers as a replacement but I wondering if there is something better as bell peppers are not as juices

    I suppose some cabbage and star anise could be swapped in,
    in a pinch for the fennel ?

    • @ChristineCushing
      @ChristineCushing  Рік тому +1

      Oh yes that would be great. Or , nappa cabbage with some fennel seeds would also be great.
